      Is the other Avenue Guitars' copper top semi hollow? That's my next favorite, and thank you!

      @@ringbrookstrings2868 That one is on my top 5, but not top 2 :-)
      The other top 2 is a more traditional one, from Unquendor Guitars. The shape, and colors just "speaks" to me :)

    Choosing between two colours for the neck seems like a problem for a man only building one neck. 😅 Can't wait to see it all come together.

    Absolutely stunning. It looks out of this world (even in pieces), and it's so unique it's basically perpetually fascinating to watch it come together.

    The antique Violin Red sounds like a great idea. Basically being a reverse color layout of one of the classical stringed instruments.

    Go a redish-brown burst for the neck! Or do the burst on one neck, and the classic stain on the other

    Pure insanity. Really cool idea. One tiny thing: the music is great but it is mixed _so_ loud, it's cutting my head off at 1 on my volume.

    Great build but I'm kind of concerned that you put glue on the truss rod and in the cavity. Does anyone think that doing this will cause problems in the future. From what I've seen builders try as hard as they can go keep glue out of there while gluing on the fretboard so that is my understanding

    • @ringbrookstrings2868
      @ringbrookstrings2868  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Cameron, you're absolutely right that you generally don't want glue on your truss rod, however those truss rods are both wrapped in plastic sheaths which means they're already fairly protected. The only reason you don't want glue on the rod is it could cause the nut to seize. If you look closely you'll also see I cover the nut sections separately, only applying glue to the sides of those covers. Hope that's helpful, definitely don't just drown a truss rod in glue and expect it to work!

      @@ringbrookstrings2868 that's a fair enough explanation. Really enjoying the series, keep it up!
