As already mentioned, Nemrbini Audio has an emulation of the same model of Sans Amp as Pro tools (PT). It has AU and VST options available for those not in the PT environment. I use it all over the place. It’s so good. And it’s been endorsed by Tchad Blake.
P.S. love your work Chris, don’t listen to the haters.

I always forget to mention the VST options. Thanks for posting here 🙏🏻

Love the CB4 plugin, ML Sound Lab makes great plugins!
Also for anyone who wants the SansAmp plugin but doesn’t have protools, Nembrini audio makes a version of the sansamp 😃

Nembrini Audio have the Sansamp psa-1 plugin which is absolutely great - i have also the hardware and they are really really similar, love it.

Thank you!! It was a challenge to make, but I’ll gladly use it as a perfectly acceptable substitute for my VH4 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Definitely agree on the Sansamp, at first I thought it wasn’t that good but after some tweaking I got to love that thing.
The Sonnox Drumgate is absolutely the best gate out there at least I like it a lot better than other options I tried.
What to say about the VH4, an absolutely fantastic versatile amp, even the clean channel is perfect.

Yes about the SansAmp!! Have you ever considered at any point to get the hardware rack version? I know recallability of the plugin is a plus, but what about the sound? Also, would love to see a comparison between this one and the recent recreations, as the one from Membrini Audio for instance. Thank you Chris!

I had a hardware unit years ago. It was great too. The sound wasn’t different enough for me to want to keep it. Honestly, I use this more as an effect, so how close it sounds to the hardware is almost irrelevant. I keep turning knobs until it sounds the way i want 😉

@@chrisbaseford This! Well, I got your point and I admire your attitude towards mixing. If it sounds good enough, plus the benefits of having it in the box, why make things complicated, right? That makes me think about it in the wider sense of things, mixing wise of course. Thanks again Chris.

I have. It’s really good too. It’s just not tweak-able enough to be my favorite ;). The frequency control in DrumGate is so powerful!

@@chrisbaseford Chris, your starting up my GAS again, iv been really good not getting anything new this month too. Out of curiosity, what is the minimum amount of plugins could you use to be truly happy with your mix to hand over to the artist and what are they?
I have been trying to cut down on my plugins to concentrate on the craft and not the gear, i would be very interested in that kind of video. Thank you.
