    Dear Lena, it was YOU who is to be credited for THE change, something clicked inside you and it was just about to click anyway... If it were not for my comment, something else would be the reason for the change that was maturing inside YOU anyway. You are working on your own patterns for years, and you were hibernating on best possible solution and also how to communicate it with other knitters.
    I am humbled by your response, I NEVER had such a positive reaction to a comment that most people would consider rude - I knew my intentions were good, but I was almost sure it would not be taken as such, so I have to thank you, because you confirmed that is it worth voicing an opinion especially if it is "different".
    I suggest we stop thanking each other from now on, OK?! ;-)
    I am very excited about your patterns! You have great and fresh approach and I do hope your work will get the deserved attention in the knitting world. Knitting community is wonderful, but it is also a business with all its competitiveness, marketing tools and tricks, and in the end one needs patience and luck for a breakthrough. Rooting for you, Lena!

    Wow this pink, gosh it’s stunning 🤩 😍😍😍😍 I want so much knit the fingering version too, I think I will somehow knit on both at the same time if it’s ok for you Lena. Let’s short row party again 🤣 Sending hugs ❤️

      I believe your short rows PTDS is becoming an addiction!!! I have created a short row monster!!!!!! Mila, you absolutely must knit the fingering version! Plus the regular version was adjusted with shoulder depth so you might need to make another one. The increases had to change due to different shoulder depth, so that part of the pattern is different.
      Fingering version had much side neckline, much more open, and Twincrease, and so much more!!!!!
      You just have to!!!! XOXO

    Your pattern is amazing! I'm still trying to find time to work on it!! I am determined to get it done!! Love your work Lena and thank you for the dedication!! It's been an amazing introduction to the test knit world for sure! 🌸

      THANK YOU!!!!
      Please find time, I know it is so hard with kids and our hectic lives! I will be sending the updated regular version tonight after work, along with the fingering version. The regular version had an adjustment to shorten the depth of the shoulders for a better consistent fit. The change affected the increases throughout, so if you are in the middle of the yoke you can't keep following the increases. And the fingering version has a wider neckline and different things to offer.
      I need my whole team of testers for this version! It wont be the same without you!!!

    I love the emphasis you put on building a sweater that works for you! I'm a relatively new Knitter, but have been crocheting most of my life, so I almost always make changes when I'm making a crocheted garment. My goal is to learn as many techniques as possible to be able to make my own knit garments using pattern design components that I love & to know how & when to make changes when needed! ❤

      I am glad you found my channel then! I will be happy to help you learn all I know, so you can create knitwear that fits you well and use your imagination to create your very own designs!

    Thank you , the episode is so informative. I would love to knit that faboulous shoulders, maybe I will send you my circumference in inches, so you can see if you need more testknitters. Best of luck with the pattern, and have a lovely May.

      No need to send me your info. Just send and email to purlzknitting@gmail.com. For now, I am not limiting the number of test knitters. This is the best feedback I can get for my innovative patterns!
      Thank you for your interest in this and I will wait for your e-mail.

    I’m really excited to try this pattern when you release it. I’d love to learn these techniques to be able to apply them to other garments. If you ever do a v-neck that will be a for sure purchase because I live v-necks and cardigans.

    • @purLZknitting
      @purLZknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's on the list! You will just have to be patient. I am trying to get to my V-neck designs. And the releasing of patterns has been a slow process due to my health and me working with test knitters to get the best feedback before the release.

      Look forward to buying the fingering weight pattern when it comes out. Such beautiful construction!!

    Lena, you are right regarding the dk version (should reduce the shoulder construction 1 inch early). I was wondering why my shoulder seem deeper even though I got my gauge? Anyway the fitting of my dk version of Dido fit comfortably. I couldn’t wait to start my fingering weight version. I’ve sent you application email already 😊

    • @purLZknitting
      @purLZknitting  ปีที่แล้ว

      I saw it consistently with every test knit, and I had to fix it. Now both versions are corrected and the fingering version test knit will show that I am right this time.

      Is the updated version of dk Dido sweater including the reduction of shoulder construction? I think I will knit 1 size smaller for eldest.

    I might be missing something but I looked for your DK version of the DiDo sweater that you are wearing but could not find it. I thought your test knit is for the fingering version that’s not out yet. Maybe the DK version isn’t out until June also? I’m confused because of the comments left saying they made one already. Thanks! I love the fit of that sweater and I’m trying to find a pattern that will fit nicely , it’ll be my first sweater. I’m a sock knitter. Hope this won’t be too complicated for me is my only hesitation.

      Hello!
      The Dido is not out yet. When fingering version test knit started it was the same pattern as DK. It slowly converted into something amazing that is called YOKE 101 sweater now. I planned to release both on June 16th. But it looks like Dido might be released sooner. I will announce it in my knitcast and my newsletter. If you adventurous beginner you will be fine. Its a lot of short rows and diagrams and videos to guide you thru. But once you have done it you will know a lot and will be able to recreate it with your own spin. The Yoke 101 sweater is similar in construction at finer gauge and basic. You can add stripes and patterns to it. But for a beginner I would recommend to knit it once in one color. And then use this pattern a million times to create your own yoke with stripes and patterns and colorwork! It is not too difficult and I am here to help!

    Thank you Lena for this video ❤❤❤
    After listening to you in this video, I feel less intimidated to give it a try. Actually, I am really looking forward to start knitting the day in day out sweater in fingering weight because I like the Gaudi inspired shoulder shaping you’ve invented. It is really gorgeous and I love the look of it. I’m so excited for your birthday to get the pattern. Will it be possible to get reminder in my email so that I can purchase your pattern? I can send you my email to your inbox 😊
    Have a beautiful day ❤
