    I can confirm this is how heavy it is. And even more so in person. I’ve seen them twice. Heaviest and most brutal thick live tone you’ll ever hear. It’s absolutely Insane.

      @@acutemadness shockingly it was a Very comfortable loud my ears didn’t ring at all. Whitechapel however was way too much. They had it cranked.

    My dad met rob after a myrtle beach show that me him and my sister went too, my dad thought he looked familiar so he talked to him and rob said he was the drummer to mess with him, apparently he was getting some beer and going to see an old friend, and he gave me one of his kick ass picks which was so fucking sick

    I can attest to how good this thing is. You have so much tonal control in this thing. The low boost is amazing! The mid enhance knob is extremely powerful, and there’s a ton of gain in it.

    From this video, I bought the Maxon ST9+ and its my favorite OD pedal of all time, the low boost is fucking essential to many of my fave tone settings

      How are the mids? Definitely important when it comes to amps like Rectifiers who aren't the mid heaviest amps.

    I have this pedal. I absolutely love it. I never cared for the low boost knob though I always keep it at classic. Maybe I need to fiddle around with it some more.

    Maxon pedals are awesome. Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Hate Eternal, Nile etc are endorsed and use those pedals.

    Both are Great. the Super Tube is more versatile and will add some more low end punch.. where the 808 is awesome but really just adds the mid hump..
    So if you have a flubby amp with allot of lows you want to clean up and add more grit go with the 808.
    if you want more body and grit go with the ST-9 pro+

    I have one going to my dual rec, and I have another coming for my triple rec. They really are amazing totally transform your tone. I also use a MXR 10 band EQ. Bionic tone.

      No expert, but since he is using active pickups and an overdrive/boost on an amp with an already huge amount of distortion....i'd say there's quite a bit of clipping even in person (not on video)

      They are similar, but the DX has a couple of different clipping options. The ST-9 Pro+ is basically an OD808 with a Midrange knob and the ability to run at 9 or 18 volts (internally). It also has the Low-Boost switch, which adds a nice punch to the pedal - I personally always wanted the TS9DX, and then we started distributing Maxon... :)

    The Maxon st9 Pro Plus batmetal in particular will help could help me save me money not that there's anything wrong with modding the Boss Metal Zone to the Cannibal Corpse sound but it make more sense to buy the Maxon st9 Pro Plus and informal was the Boss Metal Zone and EMG pickups but since then their formula has changed over the years now their guitarists these days are using Fishman fluence pickups believe they are the modern ones if you have any idea what Fishman fluence they currently as of right now please send a reply. Thank you

    amazing pedal but it gives you tons of feedback. i use a boss ns2 to try and hide the feedback on Max settings and still doesn't cut it. maybe I should invest in the decimator?

      On the first 4 records they played in Eb, some songs on the Vile album are in C# Standard. They eventually started tuning to A# and G# which are the tunings they use now. (They skip the 6th string to play all the old stuff).

      +GodlykeInc just checking. I have hitchhiker's thumb and my thumb on my picking hand looks like that when I'm playing.

    They play in B flat standard :) so it's B tuning but tuned half a tone down. They play in E flat standard from Eaten Back To Life to The Bleeding i think and then everything else is in B flat :) Hope this helped!
