- We find the greatest explanation or exposition of God in the gospel!
Octavius Winslow: “Oh, do not study God in the jeweled heavens-in the sublimity of the mountain-in the beauty of the valley-in the grandeur of the ocean-in the murmurs of the stream-in the music of the winds. God made all this, but all this is not God. Study Him in the cross of Jesus! Look at Him through this wondrous telescope, and although, as through a glass darkly, you behold His glory-the Godhead in awful eclipse, the Sun of His Deity setting in blood- yet that rude and crimsoned cross more fully reveals the mind of God, more harmoniously discloses the perfections of God, and more perfectly unveils the heart of God, and more fully exhibits the glory of God, than the combined power of ten thousand worlds like this, even though sin had never marred, and the curse had never blighted it. Study God in Christ, and Christ on the cross! Oh, the marvels that meet in it -the glory that gathers round it-the streams of blessing that flow from it- the deep refreshing shadow it casts, in the happy experience of all who look to Jesus and live-who look to Jesus and love-who look to Jesus and obey-who look to Jesus and embrace that blessed ‘hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began.’ A worthy structure this of a foundation so divine!” (Octavious Winslow, The Precious Things of God, p.7-8)

Amen and amen to the glory of God in the most high!! I bought an electric guitar, beautiful. My paln was to study hard and long and learn all my favorite songs. After buying it a weight was on my chest and thst familiar voice which for me is the Holy Ghost. It weighed on my heart, the thought was " no, study the Bible, give your time to me". I felt guilty because I didn't want to do, I haven't picked up the guitar to study it. I will obey and study hard and long thr bible to pass on the precious word of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I'm humbled. God bless all of us.

Praying that your wife Charo and children are in good health , thank you for your sermons and how you portray Jesus Christ in a way that i understand and see him so real in my life , i can not do anything or become anything without my Lord, i have learned not to trust in myself but totally in Jesus Christ. The Cross is so real in my life that im so grateful for what He did for me on that cross, i live in springfield mass, the word of God has been watered down, all people want to here is about success and prosperity, there is no more crying for the souls like it's suppose to be, i struggle with this and pray God strengthens me through it all the love of many have waxen cold and sin is not being preached like it should but so many things have creeped into the churches and and if it wasn't for Christ i don't know where i would be. Please don't change how you preach or what you preach about or what you believe. I have found much strength through your preachings and i have learned so much, please pray for me that my strength fail me not and that i may do everything that my Lord sends me to do and overall i stay in obedience submitted forgetting about myself until He calls me home to glory .... Because i refuse to go back to sin or to the lust that this world offers it's not easy but because i love my Lord and because He loved me first i wanna keep going , honouring and pleasing Him in all things. I love that book. I could only hope to somehow see a glimpse of Jesus with this mans heart and eyes. Oh how precious are those precious things of God.
Examining the cross in detail makes my heart cry at such an act of God. The very God Himself Jesus Christ the Son as the propitiation satisfying the wrath of God the Father against sin having us justified disarming the power of sin and death and made us worthy before His eyes. Absolutely awesome God. Let us examine the Cross fully. Let the Holy Spirit reveal what has been accomplished on the Cross. The more we dig deep, the more we will be in awe and the love of God will come pouring into our hearts.. and the more we will fall in love with our Lord Jesus Christ.
The passion of Ps Paul Washer in his preachings years ago on the true message of the cross has been mistakenly regarded yet even by believers as a bit condemning. I was one of those believers. But as I grow in faith and in the grace and knowledge of our Saviour Jesus Christ, the more I appreciate preachings and messages like Ps Paul Washer preaches. It is good to see you smiling now Ps Paul and there is that sense of lightheartedness in the delivery of your messages yet still impact so powerfully into the hearts of the hearers.

One of my favorite bible verse is ( John 17:3 - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. It's all about God and what His son Jesus Christ did on that cross for everyone, but i take it personal what He did for me.

With a shock, catapulted from a dream,

@@michaelcoelho8672 Jesus is more than most important though...He is the only way for us to come to God. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. The universe displays His power and glory but it does not bring us to God, and neither does going to church, or praying to a saint. Only in knowing Jesus can we come to God. It is so important that you know this! Where your soul will spend eternity depends on it. You see, God is utterly Good, and righteous. His moral standard is perfection, and the punishment for breaking His law is death. In order to get to heaven where God is, we have to keep his moral law perfectly. But you and I and every other person are not good! When you die you will stand before the judgement seat of God and He will judge every single deed you have done and thought that you have had by His perfect standard. No one can stand against this standard, for we are far from perfect. We will be doomed to the torments of hell to pay for our sins against Him. But this is where Jesus comes in! God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall be saved. The Son of God became a human being and lived among us here on earth, and He did what we have failed to do...He kept God's law perfectly every single moment of His whole life! And then He took upon Himself our sins and He took our death sentence, and was crucified on the cross, the Just dying for us who are unjust. The only thing we deserve is death because we have sinned against a good Father and we have been His enemies, doing what He hates. But because of His great mercy and love Christ died for us while we were still His enemies! If you will believe and trust in Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross, then all of His righteousness will be counted as yours, and the punishment that you earned will be counted as fulfilled because another has paid it in full! This is the free gift of God to us! The Bible says to Repent, turn from your sins and believe in Jesus, and you will be saved. Do not trust in going to Church, or in a saint or the universe to bring you to God. Trusting in those things will only send you to hell. There is only One name in heaven or on earth by which you must be saved, and His name is Jesus.
