In the following, John Flavel laments the ineptitude of even the greatest scholars to display Christ in a manner worthy of Him:
“But let me tell you, the whole world is not a theatre large enough to shew the glory of Christ upon, or unfold the one half of the unsearchable riches that lie hid in Him. These things will be far better understood, and spoken of in heaven, by the noon-day divinity, in which the immediately illuminated assembly do there preach His praises, than by such a stammering tongue, and scribbling pen as mine, which doth but mar them. Alas! I write His praises but by moon-light; I cannot praise Him so much as by halves. Indeed, no tongue but His own is sufficient to undertake that task. What shall I say of Christ? The excelling glory of that object dazzles all apprehension, swallows up all expression. When we have borrowed metaphors from every creature that hath any excellency or lovely property in it, till we have stripped the whole creation bare of all its ornaments, and clothed Christ with all that glory; when we have even worn out our tongues, in ascribing praises to Him, alas! we have done nothing, when all is done.”
In spite of certain failure, I must both write and speak, for “woe is me if I do not preach the gospel” (I Corinthians 9:16). Thus, being torn between my impotence to expound the gospel and my absolute necessity to do so, I commend this work to Christ’s church collectively and to the believer individually.

“O”, Mr Washer, every time I watch your messages, I get emotional, bringing tiers of thankfulness to my eyes, when recognising and acknowledging my own weaknesses before Jesus.

As regenerated Christians, when we wait on the Lord as our lifestyle Christ is faithful to fill and saturate our entire being with Himself thereby causing us to progressively express God our Father more and more. Hello, beloved brother, Your family has landed on a tender place in my heart.
Regarding the topic, yes. The more I learn from Scripture, the clearer it appears that Christ is everything. Through Him all things were created. Through Him, some are saved and the rest are judged. His magnificence in being at both ends of creation, to have once been human, now glorified defies description.
His relationship to us is also overwhelming. He is our husband, our brother, our propitiation. "Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?" He asked, and then answered, muddying the lines even further.
Matthew 12:49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, Jesus said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, and sister, and mother."
So Christ is everything to God. And Christ is all things, all roles, to us.

Great video. I think of Romans 11:33-36 when I think about our attempts to display Christ. We can certainly proclaim the truth of God's Word correctly, but we will never understand the infinite depths of who Christ is even as we preach, teach, or share the gospel or doctrine. And it should be that way because God is God and we're not; therefore we would never be able to display the fullness of Him since He is eternal and infinite. (And old preachers from centuries ago seem to be more eloquent and in awe of these truths than many of us in modern times.)

I have a question, first of all I thank God for your service, it has encouraged and advised me many times.
So us humans can never display the glory of Christ enough. Could the apostles have said the same about themselves and what they wrote? Because if yes, wouldn‘t it mean that the Word of God also doesn‘t display his Glory correctly?
We need only the Holy Spirit.

Women are not to be an authority over man. However, you have an audience in your children, family and friends to speak of Jesus and share his love and his ways.
Women can preach and tell gospel to both men and women but not in church
