I’ve had one now for about four years. It’s very nice when working the side of a hedge or when using a pole saw. Not so useful if you have to climb a ladder to top the hedge but it can be done with the right ladder. I did look at the fancy harnesses that come over your head and move up and down but this is a hell of a lot cheaper than those and I would expect there still to be problems when topping a hedge. Also like using it when strimming because there is more movement. It’s easier to just tweak the height to change the cutting angle and you can push it away from your body when working around obstacles. All in all, very good value

OK so you're using it "left handed", opposite of the instructions. Does it work OK in that configuration? The manual etc suggests this is only for people who operate the trigger with their right hand, with the motor on the right hand side.

@@carlsmowerandsaw Good to know, as I need a left handed solution. I think the pole can be turned a little more clockwise from where you have it. I was also thinking about whether to fabricate my own pole with a pipe bender in the mirror image.. someone could make some money selling them as Stihl don't seem to care about 20% of their customers!

@@davidm9090 I've ordered one, but already I'm considering making a longer pole, something like the £350 elephant Trunk design, which is, indupitably, better for long reach.
