My first bike was a 72 Yamaha JT2 Mini Enduro 60cc 13 years old. Just like Kenny the bike was a major mile marker in my life. These video's bring back memory's or riding dirt bikes in the 70's and 80's. Today I still ride my Honda Interstate street bike every weekend. Thank you Kaplin America and family for your channel.
Dude, your story of the GT80 is almost the exact story of mine so I know we’re close in age hahaha. I had the grey GTMX80 with no front fender, which I graduated up to from a mini bike that had monkey bars that could be retracted, and a Tecumseh engine. After that it was off to 78 YZ 80 and a million bikes after...ending my career with the beautiful 82 YZ125. So nice to see what you’re doing and how you’re giving us that memory back.
Every time I see something in your museum it just makes me want to visit that place more and more I definitely can’t wait to visit there I will be there soon enough!!!!
Was there 2 weeks ago with my riding buddy donny great collection of vintage bikes best I have seen so far. If you can get a chance to go you won't be disappointed. And what's up moses very helpful. Awesome place.
What a trip down Japanese Lane. Spotted 2 bikes I bought new 81 GPZ550 and then mooved to the 86 Ninja 600R.And when you found those SL's I had all different sizes Great vid's Ken
My first 4 bikes were Yamaha. Beautiful collection you have there. Have you ever seen a 79 YZ80 without a broken crankshaft? I had one in really nice shape, broken crank, couldn't find one anywhere (pre-internet days).
The MX400 was only made one year only and that is 1975. that RT1 360 with a gray tank is actually a 1972 RT2, the 1971 RT1 360 had a tank that was black and had a red pinstripe. the frames are different between the 2 and things like the tank can be swapped they don't wont look right. also the seat on that RT2 is a longer seat than the 1968-1971 DT and RT series bikes. the 1971 DT/RT seat is just like the seat on the 1968 DT1 in your showroom.
Love yamaha also caplan America.but id love to see that 350x trike at end of video, i had all 3 in 86 years at one point 200x 350x 250R the R was a widow maker. My god it was fast!
I need all the yamahelp I can get boyz, are there any 400 motors that fit a 71' RT1 360? Mines made lots of engine noise since i bought it and recently started making lots more so its time for somethin to happen, tell me what yall know
i am not soft..but this was such a great video of "from the beginning"..it is inspiring..Yamaha forever my friend

You don't have one "crummy" video Ken!
Did I see a Suzuki TC 120 rotary valve in the background? You should do a video on a Suzuki rotary valve 2 stroke.
