This might have changed slightly. Just built my honchkrow. It has exactly the same stats as yours, but I had a venusaur start and it outsped me. I have 210 speed (31 iv speed and with the ev training you said)
@@JinxedBoon No, Venusaur started the fight. I followed everything. Started with stealth rocks, used screech, and went to use drill peck with Honchkrow but got hit with sludge bomb for 54.8%. My honchkrows stats are 341/383/140/207/172/210. Maybe will reduce some special defence for speed
Also, I quickly spectated the end of someone else's winning fight. They were using a buffed (normal, not hidden ability) Salamence to sweep (and could only see gligar and metagross in their party). Not sure what their strat was but it could be another good option
I'm sorry! One of the resources I was using said venasaur had 209 speed but it turns out it is 210. I must have just won all of the speed ties in my testing. Thanks for pointing this out! Just eat an EV berry and add 4 speed EVs and you will have 211 speed. The rest can be sdef! Thanks for commenting and pointing this out

I just realised that many people face Red first time when they can do woobufet strat, so they have no problem at all. I just finished my dex so I need this kind of strategy. Thank you for sharing this
Yup wobbafet strategy was nerfed with the species clause. I also wanted to avoid endevour as a strategy because I feel like it could be nerfed at some point too! Glad it helped you!

I think I found a way. This was happening because Red was sending Blastoise before Charizard (leaving the sunlight up for Venusaur), and sent Venusaur as his last Pokemon. The workaround was: - Get to Venusaur with just the Graveler fainted - Switch to Sawk and let it die - Use Magneton, Riolu and Aron to Screech the Venusaur - When everyone else fainted (and Venusaur has -6 def + weather effect and reflect are down), use DrillPeck
Suckerpunch will ohko the venusaur unless snorlax comes in first, here is the damage calc. +4 252+ Atk Life Orb Honchkrow Sucker Punch vs. 200 HP / 0 Def Venusaur: 555-655 (158.1 - 186.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO But yes if snorlax comes in first that is probably causing the problem because of reflect. It's pretty rare that he puts snorlax out first but if he does, hard swap into sawk to brick break and then proceed the same as you would with a standard venusaur lead. Sorry for the issue!

I was only able to win after Red started the fight with Venusaur. **I had spent 49 minutes on a +100 charm** prior to this.... dying to the Venusaur. I have it recorded. This seems an issue worth collectively solving - not sure if it was my team layout or what - but Red was not switching into Snorlax last, and that seemed to cause the problem. It probably doesn't help that on 2 of my attempts vs a charizard lead I was flinched out of doing stealth rocks. I did kill the Venusaur with Aerial Ace in 1 shot when Red led with him, and then the rest of the fight went as intended.

@@JinxedBoon Adamant, 5x31 (no spatk). I ended up having to take 10 spdef off honch and go to 142spd EV (panic as charm was running out) and that's when I got lucky with the Venusaur. Venusaur was not 0def as he came in 6th and wasn't screeched, and I had lost a moxie stack due to using superpower the turn before on Snorlax. I'll upload an unlisted video and link it.
Awesome video, do you have a strategy for the gen 5 fight. Im really stuck on that one. Tried the blissey, jelli, flygon strat with no luck after many attempts.
I just recorded a video covering the gen 5 with blissey, flygon, and jelli! I still need to edit though. The current document that floats around is missing some details that I was able to pull from the original billibilli video. I'll hopefully have it out soon! Main things are baiting emboar in with blissey, swapping jelli and tricking, then swapping flygon and ddancing and sweeping. What issues are you having?
@@JinxedBoon the problem I've been having is when I trick emboar and swap to flygon. After the second dragon dance the ai switches to hydreigon. And OHKOs
You technically don't need it since it is very unlikely he will use rest at that HP amount but without sturdy, you can't use taunt and he could sleep to recover and you won't ohko
There are 5 different teams, one for each gen. 3 of them have fixed leads and 2 have variable leads, this is one of the ones with a fixed lead. It's also only once per week

But still, what I am asking is, from the teams whose lead CAN change, like this one like you showed, WHEN does that lead change? Like, how would I know which mon to lead with is what I am asking
@riokouk sorry I was just replying to someone on a different video, my bad 😅 ohh I see. It's random each time you start the fight! That's why you always start with the same lead into Red. That way you can choose what to do from there based on what he leads with!
I actually haven't got gen 2 in months! However it's the exact same as gen 3 so just check out that video and do the same thing! It's a fixed lead that you trick on EQ and sweep with cloyster, just like on gen 3. I'll make a video for clarity when I eventually get that team though!

In the sun he will due to chlorophyll. Use sucker punch if in the sun and as long as you are +2, you will ohko it

so I kill 5/6 fine and then venusaur comes in and outspeeds my honchcrow with 132EV 31IV speed. something isn't mathing. this has me tilted.
Just sucker punch venusaur unless he comes out first or second. Once you are at +2 it's 100% ohko with sucker punch
