- BMW x1 e84 dashboard remove and replace
This x1 had an accident in which it triggered the airbags, after the body was repaired, it was time for the dashboard to be replaced , the whole operation lasted about 5 hours

Hello! Why shul be noises? if everything is don properly nothing should be different than before! You should be aware that that dashboard didn't grow up there, was mounted there by a person!
I will be going thought the same replacement soon , I’m getting a 2010 dash and replacing it with my 2013 deployed dash, but unfortunately the 2010 doesn’t come with head unit , I saw how you replaced and attached the head unit to it , but I’m still confused why did you replace the bottom piece (the plastic part around CD) can you explain how did you do it and why wouldn’t 2010 fit?
One says Navi and other one says Basis , what’s the difference between two and honestly not sure if I can replace that part 🤦♂️
One is for the navigation system and other widouth

hey how did you remove the centre console trim coz I tried multiple times when I was retrofitting 6NR, I just couldn't get it off as the radio's bottom trim was on the way and I couldn't slide the centre console trim back as the gear trim was on the way. I ended up breaking one of the bottom clip where the radio trim clips into but still couldn't get it off.
How long did it take you to get the dashboard out?
I have a rattle near the storage container that I would like to fix. This looks like a 2 or 3 hour job just to get to that area.
Did you have any instructions or were you able to understand what to disconnect and remove as you went?

It can not be mounted. different communication protocol. different sizes.
if you really want. perhaps you can do. with an interface to communicate.
but from my point of view is an improvisation. and I do not like such improvisations.
