OKC definitely wanted that race to see how fast the vette was. That's the only reason they were so advocate about Farmtruck running him. That's very smart if you really think about it

sure they did there not gonna throw 3 grand away for nothing big cheif knows how much he can beat farm truck by that vette won buy 4 but he had to let off it it would of been by 8 thats smart on okc part but cheif must not be sure about his car
Nah, 405 wanted to goad him into running against the Farmtruck for big money so he'd push his car and possibly break it, thus putting him out of the competition, they already knew the car was super fast.
Farmtruck had done massive upsets before and Wayne talked smack all across the web.
With Farmtruck weighing way over 3,000lbs, it makes sense for them to push out Farmtruck who hooks on the street consistently against something they knew would have a high chance as a drift machine rather than tossing Chief's car out to lose spectacularly. So even if Farmtruck loses, they'll know what to do if anyone was to go up against Wayne.
It wasnt worth it to cheif to line up and loose to a no named track racer. So he totally did the right thing here

ROY CAPPS all them boys have been street racing Wayyyy before anyone even thought of a tv show. Before street racing blew up like it has. Big Chief and ANZ and daddy Dave were racing together a long time ago, when "Pinks" aired for the first time. I love farm truck tho. Wish he'd put that setup in some old muscle car and actually get on the list. I believe he would do really good.
