Yes! I love to learn about the everyday habits of the artists I like! I always appreciate when you show videos like this! Like the concept books and studio tour, it's a nice change of pace from the paint videos from time to time, I like how this one is a fusion of both! Thanks for the video Matt! As always, I hope the best of luck for you and Kana!
If you have used up cartridges or refills made of plastic, or even if you use disposable plastic stationary / art supplies, you can send them to Crayola and they will recycle them (if you live in North America, at least).
I've thought a lot about sustainability lately. Especially in terms of plastic. It's so easy to "buy to try" and not really think about the consequence of hoarding supplies. A dip pen would be ideal in terms of sustainability. There are bamboo holders with no plastic. You may find this to be a bit inconvenient, however, if you are someone that likes to sketch on the go. So the Lamy AL Star EF does a good job in terms of its portability. For me the biggest problem is my paper usage. I honestly don't know what to do about this. I tried switching over to bamboo paper but I didn't like the result I was getting with my illustrations.
This was really interesting! I've also been trying to put more emphasis recently on buying things meant to last, and learning to repair things. I'll definitely go read your blog post, too! ^^ P.S. I could always be wrong on this, but it seemed to me that you're using the word "lead" with an incorrect pronunciation. The "leed" pronunciation you seem to be using is for when you are being a leader, leading someone, and similar things, with a few, rare exceptions. Though spelled exactly the same, "lead" when pronounced "lehd" is the soft material, frequently now graphite, which makes dark marks when pressure is applied and is mostly used in pencils. Obviously, communication was achieved, and I'm not trying to be difficult, I just thought you might want to know. Or, you may be using it entirely correctly with a technically accurate definition that I'm just not aware of. Regardless, thank you very much for the video, and I hope you have a great day! :)
I have decided to the same expect i am going to have a pencil case that I can fill with 12 pens and the brush I like I am keeping a disposable brush pen because I could not find an alternate pen I liked it is double sided so it uses less space and I can have two colors
Hi! I know that you use the Sailor Pigment Ink Sei-Boku and it's waterproof. I would like to know if you disassemble your Lamy and clean it after each use or you can leave it for couple of days? I have found a note on the shop page that offers this Ink "Pigment inks should not be left in pens for prolonged periods of time between use as they can clog feeds. If your pen is to be left unused for a period of time, ensure it is emptied and flushed through with clean water."
I've never used a fountain pen, now I want one :p but I have some estilógrafos (don't know the translation) that I can refill, so at least I don´t feel but about cartridges :) But I'm definitely adding your rules to my list, thanks for the tips =)
@@mattjabbar yes! me too, I was looking for options in my country and couldn't find one without plastic parts, so I'll try to save some money to buy a nice fountain pen :)
Very important to turn sustainable. Thanks for pointing that out.
Yes sustainability! It's great that you're trying to turn over that way and even better that you mention it and bring attention to it! Thank you

I thought this is art supplies review or favorites or something like that... I dunno if this is an ASMR video in disguise
It was so interesting and pleasant to watch, thank you ✨

Ah, you are right, I have a few words that I'm not sure about and "lead" is one of them definitely. Thanks!
