I've been following you for about two years. This soft happy style is what I aspire to draw. I hope you make more videos where you are in them, either visiting interesting places to draw or just drawing at home like this. They are very fun and interesting. Omg I thought I unsubbed on this Im so glad I found you again! I found you in id 2010 and you gave me ideas on how tp paint on the spot really fast. We were using oil paint for quick landscapes andrhat was when I found you in stumbleupon. Im sooo happy I finally found you again 😍

Great video! I had been following your work since I read about it in kotaku, so to see a behind-the-scenes segment on it was really fascinating. One question: there was a lovely piece you did with two salarymen in what seems to be a restaurant with a lady cleaning a chopping board, stylistically it seems to be quite different from the rest of your work (a lot more grittier and vivid), was that done traditionally or digitally?

Hahah I'm not from Russia, I'm from Poland. ;) And I have to say that there is almost no animation market in Poland so I don't think I will be going back to make animation there. Artist , maybe, but for now I like it here in Japan.
I forgot to ask you something. Can you do pretty good watercolor paintings with procreator on a professional Ipad. Most of the tutorials I see on youtube are done on paper with natural paint and not digital.

The 7B and softer of the Mars Black line are very good - because they behave more like oil based color pencils they don’t smudge at all and are really nice and black. But you cannot erase them ;)
I have been painting (also with watercolours) before watching any Japanese animation, but yes, Ghibli showed me that you can also tell a story beautifully with images so that's what I'm trying to do with my works.

Great work! Do you use any type of fixative so your pencil won't smear as your painting?
No. I'm a little bit anxious how a fixative would react with the watercolours so I don't use any.

+Listya Ari Acrylic gouache become waterproof when they dry. So you can paint layers and layers and there is NO smudging (which I like)
is that gouache hard to clean when dry (especially at brush) like acrylic? -thankyou
+Listya Ari when it's fresh you clean it with water, when dried it's quite solid and waterproof so you have to be careful.
