Mine is 6 years old now and still in good condition. I'm getting another Boon today.

G'day Tony, great review and thanks for taking the time to put this up. Do you have an opinion in the comparison between the Boon Classic vs Boon Compact? Cheers mate

I like the classic but I guess its personal choice. The longer wrist is ideal for easy use in the gym but I guess there is some personal choice involved as well

Tony Willis thanks mate. I’ve just purchased a pair of the Classic in 12oz for bag and pad work. I’m so excited to see how they go. I’m used to a short cuff, with my current all rounder glove being a Twins 16oz, but I’m looking forward to what appears to be a more streamlined and ergonomic shape and fit in the Boon classic - almost a hybrid between a Muay Thai and a traditional Boxing glove. Your review really helped me. Thanks again

@@dangrantofficial Hey Daniel, how are the boons holding up? I'm also interested in buying the boons gloves.Whats your opinion on the wrist support , knuckle padding and glove compartment? Even I have 16 Oz Twins ...

Arthur Morgan Gday Arthur sorry for my late reply mate! They’ve been good gloves for me mate, I got some 12oz for pad work. They’re light and the support through the wrist is fantastic. The hand compartment was really tight to start with but didn’t take long to open up. It definitely fits and feels different to the twins (I still love my twins), and one thing I struggled with for a while was how the cuff came up further and it felt like it changed the way I had to turn my hand over to ensure I was striking with my knuckles. All in all, especially considering the price, they’re a great glove. I will likely get a pair of 16oz for sparring once my twins give up. Hope this helps

@@dangrantofficial I'm a beginner...is it okay if I use my 16 Oz twins on heavy bag? I don't plan to do much sparring but who knows. I saw boons review and loved how they are similar to Western boxing glove which I plan to do mostly boxing. I'm planning to get a boons classic glove. So how is the hand compartment compared to twins...is it too snug?....I'm thinking of getting 14 or 16 Oz ....what do you think?

Are these approved for boxing use? Or just kickboxing?

They are aiba approved but i have seen them used at a lot of boxing events. It depends on the promoter and event

Thank you for your review. I always wanted a pair of Boons but was told the hand compartment is too small for larger hands. I'm 6 ft tall, weigh 180lbs and wear size large winter glove (US). It's difficult to find any 10 or 12 oz gloves that aren't too tight. Do have any guys at your gym that are my size that wear these gloves? If so what size do they wear? Many thanks!

Hi, that is possible but I find Boon more space inside the glove than say Twins or Sandee. Some of the Lonsdale safespar gloves might be good, these are the expensive not the really cheap version

Nice review! How much do you weigh? I like my gloves tight like you and considering 10 or 12

@@lukamarn I would always opt for 10oz unless heavy sparring when I would go for 16oz

@@5elementsuk Thanks! I have 14s for light sparring (other brand). We are veterans where I train so no hard sparring
