Brother theroy is different than actual, 6:43 polymer modified Bitumen on both sides is same, you just need to torch the lower side, so the bitumen get melt, and stick to the primed surface. Adhesive memebrane are completly different from torched membrane.

Dear Sir It was quite informative but the types were not defined correctly these are my observations what was missing in your video
I am 35 years in the field of waterproofing and have felt with all types of roofs concrete ,wood ,asbestos and built up profile roof ,also weather plays a role in selecting the system .
1.cementatious coating is 2 component 1part liquid and 2 parts cement blended powder the mix may differ from manufacturer to manufacture and flex required.
2. SBS modified acrylic single component coatings are cheap compared to moisture Poly urethane as PU coatings have poor bonds it's better to do as a top coat only.
3.Coaltar is diffrent from Bituminous coating Coaltar is derived from coal gas where as Bitumin is a petroleum by product also grades for road making and roofing are diffrent ,
Bituminous system are poor performers in cold weather but the correct use of primers have performed in the tropical areas with temprature.
Bitumin degrade due loss of residual oils if left untreated with protection .
Bitumin based sbs modified membranes have performed and take the thermal cycles if properly installed.
As for basements waterproofing we have many options.
1. The stone method used before the advent of modern systems .
2. Admixed crystal system
3. PVC membrane loose
4. EPDM fully bonded.
5.APP /SBS membrane bonded.
Basement waterproofing is a complex and extremely technical as the study of site is essential ,weather,also draing of water is essential will decide on the system and method.

A good waterproofing at least take care for 10 15 years for sure .
Like Asian paint will provide gurantee for 10 years

u can also add Firestone EPDM membrane for wtaerproofing. EPDM waterproofing is used in any kind of roof- accessible and unaccessible. Podium, lining and Basement under raft and on the retaining wall.

Where is you best advised polyurethane waterproofing which is either above ground or below ground? Or where please
Polyurethane waterproofing is good for below ground, cause under ground ther is less chance of damage

U can use cementious waterproofing/waterproofing chemicals like BSF, DURAKRIT , FOSROC etc

For news house, waterproofing only required in toilets,
Rest not required!
For Terrace brick bat coba must be done to avoid waterproofing!
