Estelle is really like garnet. She wears shades a lot and she gives me a strong garnet vibe
Ya I feel like they might not have included the character if they didn't get estelle like how alex hirsch said if they didn't get Kristen Schaal for gravity Falls they wouldn't have made the show

Pearl was going to be far less motherly, and her songs weren't scripted to be so emotional, but when Dee Dee recorded "It's Over Isn't It", they had to redo the storyboard in order to make sure the animation captured the depth of emotion. Dee Dee has said her voice for Pearl most closely resembles her "mom voice" she uses with her kids. Rebecca has said that the lives Zach, Dee Dee, Estelle and Michaela brought to their characters far exceeds visions she had for them, that they brought them, and the show (along with the rest of the cast, writers, storyboarders, musicians, staff), to a level she couldn't even imagine and that the show really was made by every single one of them together.

It’s crazy how they got Estelle to voice garnet
It’s so funny to me how Estelle always gets at least one lyric wrong in all of these performances and then realizes like half way through and then tries to fix it and fails but since she’s Estelle it doesn’t matter she’s too famous
Hard to memorize your own entire discography and all the songs in the show too I imagine!

Spinel (Sarah Stiles) is Broadway trained so I think she has better technique which can be heard especially during her singing of Other friends, but Deedee has such a beautiful and soulful voice that’s it hypnotic❤️❤️❤️
