I see nothing wrong with the Kings taking Tyreke Evans because the only reason why he fell off after his rookie season was because they decided to move him to shooting guard instead of keeping him at point guard, despite his lack of shooting ability
Neil Johnson Actually, he was a Shooting Guard. But the kings moved him to Small Forward because they thought he was competent enough. I mean, I won't blame the Kings too as well. He was fast, and strong, and could defend really really well. Unfortunately though, he didn't transition well.
The biggest mistake in the last 10 NBA drafts was Mike Korzemba not being drafted #1 overall and carrying 10 different teams to 30 NBA championships by scoring over 300 points a game
In the 2011 draft the Spurs also had the 29th pick which was one above Jimmy Butler and the 59th pick, which was one above Isaiah Thomas. If the Spurs got Kawhi, Butler, and Isaiah than it would have gone down as the greatest draft performance ever lol.
Mike is such a hypocrite. Makes fun of Kings for being high on Nik Stauskas, yet he called Lonzo Ball Steph Curry with a 40 inch vertical and called Thon Maker a future MVP.
The Sacramento Kings have to be the worst organization to draft players in NBA history. Everyone in that office needs to be fired immediately and they need to start fresh lol
JrRanks Blazers missed Jordan and Durant for Bowie and Oden Two drafts, one single pick off in each, would have secured over 20 years of great basketball. Oh well. Don't forget Brandon Roy ( no diss, he was actually amazing ) and his knees. Blazers are cursed.
You guys have no idea what you are talking about. The kings had very unstable ownership for awhile, and the owners influenced the decisions. When they got new owners he also did the same. Vlade made a few bad decisions but now we on the ups and I bet we have a better future than 90 percent of teams. Stop hating of you have no idea what you're talking about
Craftygamer 221 I'm talking about draft picks. Pete De'alisandro? Was an idiot. Malone was fired bc the kings were winning and boogie got meningitis and they started to lose. He set the team back a few years. Also the maloofs made Geoffe Petrie draft certain players like jimmer
Those #5 and #6 picks' mistakes from the Wolves are definitely the worst draft mistake of the last decade, only behind the Blazzers taking Greg Oden as #1 over Kevin Durant (#2).
First of all you cannot say that steph will be this great if he was drafted somewhere else. All of this are just big what ifs and to be honest it is hard to say that klay and kawhi will be this good if they are not on the team they are currently playing. Do you think kobe will be a legend if he was not traded to the lakers or Jordan will be the GOAT if Pippen is not traded to the bulls.
Penny maybe Steph isnt MVP level w/o Kerr, Dray, Klay, The Bay etc... BUT look at everything. Curry’s highschool stats, his college stats and success, pre kerr and klay/dray stats and success. Ex. 2013 2014 seasons where Curry avg 23 pts and around 7ish assists and was by far the best player on that team. Thats a season before Kerr and klay/dray werent all stars yet. Curry led them to the playoffs and pushed a championship spurs team to 6. Curry’s win percentage without Klay/Dray/KD is actually very good. All in all Im just saying its pretty safe to say that curry IS THE system in golden state and no matter what nba team he wouldve went to he would have been at LEAST an all star if not better.
Great vid! Glad you considered the picks' affect on wins and future draft positions. I've seen many TH-camrs do these "what ifs" videos and completely assume later draft positions would remain exactly the same.
I was just going to comment this. Hinkie wanted Kristaps. He knew that was the best talent. Kristaps wanted to be a Knick didn't give the Sixers a workout or interview. Look at where both teams are now, he fucked up.
Well I'm drafting your ass anyway. If I'm only need a point guard to make the playoffs your ass getting drafted weather u like it or not. But Timberwolves and 76ers was trash so I understand those reasons.
That grizzlies team could have won multiple titles... Conley, gay, gasol, harden, and love??? Mannn.... Memphis has always sucked at drafting though.. hopefully we can do something with the #4 pick this year..
Mert Orange I like the additions of jaren Jackson, and Kyle Anderson. The grizzlies aren't expected to make the playoffs..but I think we will make a run for the 8 seed, an in 2020 we will only have Conley and Kyle Anderson under contract... We can spend alot of $ and make a competitive team.. that is if anyone wants to go to memphis... We may rebuild which I hope not.we will see
I feel like it's not fair to make fun of teams for "drafting bad". Nobody knows who's going to make it or not. Obviously there's key things to predicting future successful NBA players. But I just love how when a GM picks a late first rounder or second rounder that turns up good And gets a shit ton of credit when in reality a bunch of the good players had already been taken and that was the best player remaining. Also a lot has to do with what the player is drafted into. If you've been drafted by the Spurs or Celtics in the last few years I Guarantee you've been better off than if you got drafted to the Kings or Hawks. Imagine all the players that wouldnt have been busts if they were drafted into a different system or all the players that wouldn't have been as successful if it weren't for being drafted into a perfect situation for them.
Butter Johnson Late pick out preforming early picks = luck. If it wasn't than why didn't you pick that player with your 2 round pick in the 1st round if you knew he was going to be good. There's an amount of luck that goes into every pick.
Huh some just see what others don't the jazz with d mitch are a big example not all of it luck its simple teams like the hornets, kings, and grizzles are horrible talent evaluators
@@mhj626 nah I disagree, because it definitely has a lot of luck. All season starting from now we get mock drafts from a range of talent evaluators. If we look back at every mock draft there would be millions of mistakes. If, the jazz had the number 1 pick they wouldn't have taken Mitchell.
@@rodderzjay358 it's not luck if recruiters continuously draft good players with the later picks. You seriously have no idea what you're talking about and probably needa drop it.

They played against a rubbish German team. If you watched the game you would have seen that the Germans didn’t even try, unorganised Defense, no centre midfield which helped on the defensive end. It was outrageous to watch. Have never seen a worse game of Germany
I didn't see the Blazers over here, I'm a Blazers fan and I'm still preety sad they pick Greg Oden over Kevin Durant. And their biggest mistake that they pick Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan
Greg Oden had horrible luck so we couldn't really tell how he was going to pan out... But even a fully healthy prime Greg Oden would still be less valuable than Kevin Durant simply because of the midrange game... If Oden did pan out he would have been something akin to LaMarcus Aldridge... which ironically is a player they already had, so going for Oden was pretty dumb. They were set at the guard positions with Steven Blake and Brandon Roy.. so it wasn't going to make sense going for guards, Aldridge was primarily a defensive player so why Oden? Horford and Durant had offensive game, they colossally fucked it up even if Oden was any good.
I'm a huge Steph Curry fan but let's not forget at the beginning of his career he was plague with ankle injuries for a long time. He was able to heal and develop because Warriors could afford to wait until he got better because they had Monta Ellis at the point. I don't think those other teams would of been as patient for Steph to blossom into the player he is today.
Great video. Really interesting stuff man. The Sixers pick of Okafor even though it did turn out to be awful it's worth mentioning that porzingis refused to work out for the Sixers so they couldn't really take him and Sam hinkie tried to trade Okafor at the trade deadline to the Celtics for a first-round pick but the NBA rejected the trade proposal and Sam hinkie was forced to resign. If they'd had flipped him for another top 3 pick it wouldn't look so bad. Really good stuff though!
You see Shaq? Well, Wilt is Shaq with more finesse. Although I doubt that he would score 50 to 100 on regular basis, given the different type of skill and athleticism decades ago compared to today. But he will still a force to be reckon with.
The Sacramento Kings once already had DeMarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Hassan Whiteside. We passed on Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo
Coming from an excited for the first time in awhile Pelicans fan I have a love hate relationship with the draft. Especially this draft even with the “can’t miss” Zion. I really hate to sound this way but no one can tell the future and Zion can have a solid all star caliber career but as much as he has been hyped he would still be a disappointment cause he isn’t the second coming of Barkley or hell even Lebron I think most people need to realize even though they are paid millions they are still human and no one can know how the future will pan out especially so much pressure put on an 18 year old kid. That’s why no matter the record just based on the absolute turn around David Griffin has done he should be considered for executive of the year I know they haven’t even played a game and yes they got lucky the number 1 pick but seriously when AD requested a trade the future of basketball in NOLA was in question but he completely restored excitement not felt truly since CP3 was leading a damn good team
Every team could potentially become great, but the environment may be different, and a player may develop to become someone that is not like the present-day him: Steph could be different if not in GS, Porzingis could be different too.

OJ Mayo was a stud. He just got personal issues but his skills is up there. Great pick. What I was sad about was not using Iranian Haddadi in rotation and not investing enough on Greivis Vazquez. Both of these players are above average and can start on other teams but were sparingly used.
What if Kemba Walker signs with the 76ers. PG - Kemba Walker SG - Jimmy Butler SF - Ben Simmons PF - Tobias Harris C - Joel Embiid 6 - JJ Redick 7 - Boban Marjonavic
Yo Mike I just want to say, you have been on of the best youtubers on this platform. I have been subbed since Jan 2016 and I have almost watched every video. I want to thank you. #ThankMike
10:13 Actually the Kings took Bismack Biyombo, 2 picks ahead of his Bobcats teammate and future All-Star Kemba Walker, in addition to passing on Klay and Kawhi, and then traded him in a 3-team package to get Freddete, who was originally drafted by the Bucks
Hey korzemba. What's up with a what if video about the 03 draft class being drafted in the mid 80s? Do one with Jordan, LeBron, Wade, and Melo getting drafted the same year as Jordan or a year close.
Mike, you also gotta think for t wolves that they didn't need a big man like cousins because they had Niko. T wolves didn't think Niko would get injury issues later on too. So drafting Westley made sense at the time for them. Sure you can say they passed on cousins but it just didn't make sense to draft cousins when they had needs at other spots
I understand that it’s easy to look at how poorly nba teams judge or choose the players that they want to help with the future of their franchise, but can you really blame them? You don’t know if the guy is going to be a bust or not! Sometimes you pick a guy thinking he’s the next LeBron James, but he becomes a complete bust. Or you take someone like Jimmy Butler who was not seen as a potential star in this league but look at him now! He’s one of the best 2 way players in the NBA! Why is it the managements fault for the players falling short of there expectations!?
Sixers lineup if they drafted differently.................... Center: Joel embiid PG: Ben Simmonds SG: Jimmy Butler PF: Kristaps Porzingus SF: Giannis Antetokoumpo
• Portland Trailblazers passed on Michael Jordan in ‘84 and Kevin Durant in ‘07. • Minnesota Timberwolves passed on Stephen Curry and DeMar DeRozan in ‘09 (back-to-back picks), passed onDeMarcus Cousins in ‘10. • Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers could’ve picked Paul George or Gordon Hayward in ‘10 instead of Evan Turner and Al-Farouq Aminu. • Detroit Pistons could’ve had Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh or Dwyane Wade in ‘03. • Atlanta Hawks could’ve had Chris Paul or Deron Williams in ‘05. • Memphis Grizzles could’ve had James Harden in ‘09. • Miami Heat Could’ve had Russell Westbrook, Kevin Love or Danilo Gallinari in ‘08. • New York Knicks could’ve had DeMar DeRozan or Jeff Teague in ‘09. Sacramento Kings could’ve had Klay Thompson or Kawhi Leonard in ‘11.
I’m a big believer the George and Lenard trade was a good cuz pg was able to score at an nba level from the beginning while Lenard was a great defender but needed to develop
I know this video is 3 years old but sometimes i wonder if this dude actually know anything about basketball curry only overcame his ankle problems because of the gsw medical experts which no other team had at this moment

KiD Krispy just don’t forget that lonzo ball is steph curry with a 40 inch vertical
Great Video bro👍
Nets didn't draft Kobe...
Lil Nigga charollete did
That would of been ducking crazy
You cant blame the Kings for taking Tyreke. He was a star, had a crazy rookie season, and coaching was really the main issue.
Y’all forget that the only team that wanted kristaps was the knicks. The 76ers didn’t even look at him so saying they made a mistake makes no sense
nick grant So they didn’t make a mistake because they never even scouted him?? That makes no sense
Yes, the mistake was that they didnt want to draft him...
Now Frank Kaminsky is playing in the finals 😂😂😂😂
DONT LET THIS VIDEO DISTRACT YOU FROM THE FACT THAT MIKE KORZEMBA SAID THAT LONZO BALL WAS STEPH CURRY WITH A 40 INCH VERTICAL
OJ Mayo was a stud. He just got personal issues but his skills is up there. Great pick. What I was sad about was not using Iranian Haddadi in rotation and not investing enough on Greivis Vazquez. Both of these players are above average and can start on other teams but were sparingly used.
Do What If LeBron was a bust?
Nathan McGehee then Dan Gilbert would of gotten shot up in the head by a cav fan.
The nba in particular the east would have parity
LA REPPIN Lakers/Rams #NOBANDWAGONS cough Celtics and pairity in East in the same sentence cough cough
bob brown I didn’t mention the Celtics 😂
Nathan McGehee oh lordy lord lord
What if Kemba Walker signs with the 76ers.
PG - Kemba Walker
SG - Jimmy Butler
SF - Ben Simmons
PF - Tobias Harris
C - Joel Embiid
6 - JJ Redick
7 - Boban Marjonavic
What if cap space didn’t exist
Sureee... if you remember that tobias harris and butler is a free agent and 76ers most likely will trade ben simmons
Isaiah San Jose trade Ben Simmons? Okay lmfao
#1:Hornets drafting MKG over Bradley Beal
M1key thank you!
PLEASE BRING BACK THE “WHAT IF “VIDEOS
I MISS THEM!!!!!
Sometimes the draft is the luck of the draw Kobe was picked late and look what he turned out to be,you never know who will be good in the future
Yo Mike I just want to say, you have been on of the best youtubers on this platform. I have been subbed since Jan 2016 and I have almost watched every video. I want to thank you. #ThankMike
LeBron would of traded the 9th pick.
Love your videos.
Knicks fans dont DESERVE porzingod
balling sensation good thing they don’t anymore
10:13 Actually the Kings took Bismack Biyombo, 2 picks ahead of his Bobcats teammate and future All-Star Kemba Walker, in addition to passing on Klay and Kawhi, and then traded him in a 3-team package to get Freddete, who was originally drafted by the Bucks
If only he knew that the 76ers lost to the hawks
And now ben lost motivation and can't play basketball
Hey korzemba. What's up with a what if video about the 03 draft class being drafted in the mid 80s? Do one with Jordan, LeBron, Wade, and Melo getting drafted the same year as Jordan or a year close.
i am a twolves fan😥
to be fair, indiana might not have developed kawhi as much as the spurs could have
Number 1 First 13 teams pass on Michael Porter Jr
Yo channel is the 🤬 keep it up
Nba Drafts can be overratted then your so called college stars become busts cough Anthony Bennett and cough Jimmer Freddette.
Kawhi was A Project. Why do people assume he's top 5 right off the Bat
PG Ben Simmons
SG Jayson Tatum
SF Robert Covington
PF Kristaps Porzingus
C Joel Embiid
If they had picked correctly.
That would have been amazing
Sixers lineup if they drafted differently....................
Center: Joel embiid
PG: Ben Simmonds
SG: Jimmy Butler
PF: Kristaps Porzingus
SF: Giannis Antetokoumpo
10 Mike Korzemba's that prove stories are NOT HUMAN
As a Timberwolves fan, I am in tears
Great video.
Feel better mike!!!
Curry and his representation told the Twolves he didn’t want to play there at all
Lookin good mike 😍
I live in Minnesota 🤦♂️ not to mention that the wolves like to take on busts later in their careers. Anthony Bennet, Milicic, Olawakandi, etc.
I’m a big believer the George and Lenard trade was a good cuz pg was able to score at an nba level from the beginning while Lenard was a great defender but needed to develop
Mike and Jxmmy are the best cause they get straight to the point
Nuggets:
Trading Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert to the Utah Jazz on draft night!
I know this video is 3 years old but sometimes i wonder if this dude actually know anything about basketball curry only overcame his ankle problems because of the gsw medical experts which no other team had at this moment
Mike can you do a Mock Draft because I'm so confused who the Mavs will take. Some say Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr, Miles Bridges then MPJ. I would go for Bamba though
Hey mike I hope you’re feeling better man! Missed your face cam.
T-wolwes what if They made the right picks
PG Curry
SG DeRozan ( 6th pick )
SF ?
PF Love
C Cousins
The sixers didnt draft Porzingis since his agent would give them his medical report and the Sixers feared he would be injury prone so they took okafor
Mike should do a video titled "How is KORZEMBA the BIGGEST WHAT-IF Story in NBA"
Are you working on another what if soon
feel better homie!
The music you play in the background makes me feel like im in the last level of a video game and im about to fight the final boss
“Your a lil off there buddy” lol
dude we need a video on that Hawks and Mavs trade!
