Stop making excuses. Whenever Okafor would do his tryouts for teams right before the draft, he would bring his homies along almost every time. The story was that the T-Wolves chose KAT because he came in professionally while Okafor's clique were laughing in the background.
Don’t forget all the talk around the 2017 draft that the sixers needed a score first PG, Simmons was playin the 4 and while yeah, he was the lead ball handler, this was a bit before the complete disappearance of positional basketball.
If I'm not mistaken, my Bulls tried to trade up to #3 for Doncic. Also, I was so disappointed we drafted Wendell Carter at #7. I was all in on Porter Jr.
While you obviously would prefer LaMelo over Wiseman, I think he has gotten pretty overrated between never playing and the awful off the court leadership. I wouldn't call it an obvious mistake at this point. I would make the argument against Detroit and pick Killian Hayes over Haliburton or Luke Kennard when Donovan Mitchell and Bam Adebayo were the next two picks.
I thought you said in the past that your idea for a bust is that they did not suffer any major injuries throughout their careers they just suck as players and some of the players mentioned had those kinds of injuries
This is more of a what could have been with picks video compared to just a straight up draft busts video, but I appreciate you watching the other one and pointing that out 🫡
We really have to stop talking about players who struggled with injuries as "complete busts." Its more so that they were never able to realize their full potential.

People forget he’s actually got a decent amount of accomplishments despite not playing for so long, I wouldn’t even call him a bust as much as I would say not a first pick worthy player.
Jahlil Okafor is a forgotten NBA player. The center out of Duke was deserving of becoming a high-priority pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Kentucky center Karl-Anthony Towns headlined the 2015 NBA draft. He was the consensus number one selection and the Minnesota Timberwolves made the right choice. The next big man prospects were Jahlil Okafor and Kristaps Porzingis. The Philadelphia 76ers chose Okafor. Bad decision. Okafor ended up being one of the biggest NBA Draft Busts in history.
I'm a Wiseman defender. He was decent before he got injured and has never been the same since. For a young man with hardly any experience, it's all about confidence and playing time. The rest comes with experience. Wiseman lost his confidence and thus lost his playing time. He's never going to be the next Wilt and probably won't be the next Benoit Benjamin at this rate, but he's 23 and has hardly played for the past two years. At that age and with that lack of experience, we still don't have a clue what he'll be like at 27 or 28, if he has the right mindset and regains his confidence. Jermaine O'Neal was still a big nothing at 21 after four years in the league but was averaging 19 ppg and 11 rpg at age 23 and an All-Star. I'm not saying Wiseman has that trajectory. All this is to say is a player at age 23 should be nowhere near his peak... unless, of course, they are Wilt Chamberlain. To your other point about Wiseman... if the Warriors didn't get Wiseman, it could have and should have been Maxey, Haliburton, or Bane. As a Warriors fan, I would've far preferred them over Ball.
hindsight is always 20/20...no ones know how players will turn out but if you wanna see the team that missed the most...go back and see who the timberwolves passed on year after year of having high draft picks
The Fultz pick never made sense. Living on the left coast in Oregon I watched Fultz play for the Fuskies and never saw anything that would have said he was the #1 pick.
There are so many examples but let start : 1. The cavs in 2013 selecting Bennett in #1 when at #15 the was Giannis 2. In 2014 you can say that there were 39 mistakes in that draft the jokic was selected only at #41 (the only pick that before that was okay it's of course embid ... you can say also that Wiggins was okay since it helped the cavs to trade for love and win a title) 3. In 2016 Minnesota selecting PG Dunn at 5 when Jamal Murray & dejounte murray were still there and also the clippers taking PF brice Johnson at 25 when siakam was there at 27 4.
