This is a male black and white ruffed lemur. There are no black ruffed lemurs. Male black lemurs are all black, that's a different species in the same family (lemuridae). Black and white lemurs are black and white with different patterns depending on the sub-species. Red ruffed lemurs are red with a black belly and tail and some white fur at the neck and some times at the base of the tail.

Woodpecker Vision The info sheets for red pandas also often say that the giant panda is its closest relativ which has been debunked by genetic testing a long time ago. Zoos have an important role when it comes to educating people but some times they are a little behind when it comes to new research. But as long as they hammer down the fact that these species are endangered and care for them in a professional way I can forgive that very easily.
I my short experience and as the staff told me also, those info sheets usually too much for a regular visitor. Most won't read, others probably will but forgets all in the way out. Very few will actually learn basic information from that. More than half did an on the fly data collecting as I sat at the Red Ruffed Lemur enclosure with a female Black Lemur by my side. What they did is looked at the sheet asking "So, what is it? Oh a Rote Vari (Hungarian uses this form, too)." By walking away the might notice the one by my side and say: "Wow, and one just got out. Why is it out? It looks the same like the ones inside." (edit: censored due to personal information)
Eh, you were not happy with my idea. I assumed you'd take a look at my lemur realted adventures. Never mind... But, plesase keep uploading videos of 'your' lemurs! I'm hungry for more. :)
