These videos *never date* so that'a why many TH-camrs prefer to do cat videos. This video still looks *very 'modern'* despite it being filmed years ago. The cat and kittens still look very modern. The miaows still sound very modern. None of which have dated at all.

@sasdagreat8052 Maybe the film quality and the cardboard box, but look at it from another angle, this sort of scene was probably happening in Ancient Egypt, with slightly different house furnishings, but the cats behaving the exact same.

I honestly can't thank you enough for having posted this video. Of course it's sweet & cute as can be. But also, it has helped the feral kitten I adopted to begin coming out of her shell/ hiding spots. Her ears perk up and instantly she came out of her corner and rubber her body against mine. I was shocked when she started to purr. Its been a few days now and I play this video every so often, but it has helped my lil mittens very much. We thank you. Meow! ;)

Constant attentiveness soon exhausts all species of new mothers. Takes a lot out of you to be both sleep-deprived and on perpetual high alert.

Two of our rescues got together before we could take them to the vet.They produced one daughter & four sons.They were amazing parents who could've given lectures to some of the so called parents around here.Every time she lay down the kits thought the milk bar was open.And he was fiercely protective of them.We had the whole family all their lives & they were as close to each other & us as it was possible to be.Beautiful,wonderful cats.I wish animals lived longer.Will always love & miss them.Now owned by two little girls who are the light of my life.

I think pets really resemble their owners. I used to have a mother cat just like that one, and the way she "spoke" to her kittens, especially when worried or angry, was frighteningly similar, in tone and manner, to how my own mother would scold me.
They all are so cute :) Loving and caring mother...

PiggieMaggie.... My cat did, too. She became very alert and interested in the sounds of other cat on my phone. These cats are smarter than we think. I remember when I brought a cat back from the Animal Hospital and he started "talking" to his sister, as if telling her what had happened to him. This went on for some time with sister listening intently. He had received major surgery and had to stay in the hospital for quite some time. I looked at the two of them and I felt as if they were humans in cats' bodies. It was just so amazing! I related this to the Vet who seemed skeptical about cats' communication and he said that theirs is not "effective." After caring for a large number of homeless cats, I can attest that there is more to them that meets the eye. My house cat checks on me and wakes me up with alarmed meows, if I don't get out of bed at the same usual time. Years ago, a big cat (neighbors left behind in moving) came to my aid, after watching from her high stand a neighbor annoy me with undesired flirting overtures. He put fear in him and he left quickly. I didn't even have to fight the silly guy off.

My chimera cat had kittens and talks to them all the time with a little trilling sound like your cat makes, but quieter. It's too cute. The kittens talk back to her to same way. They have their own quiet little language.

Pretty much it! :-) This is a 2 minute videos out of 24 hours where the kittens were not with mum, she was having a lovely time running about while i baby sat, she could obviously jump in with them at any point, she didnt want to though! :)

Yes, that's true. Mom needed a break. If she wanted her kitten out of the box, she could've easily grabbed him by the nape of his neck and lift him out. She was licking his face and head, pushing him back into the box. She's not stupid, she's going to enjoy her break time while she can, lol.

That's exactly what she's trying to do! Mom cats will encourage their youngsters to leave the 'den' so they can learn how to hunt & go potty for themselves. Mama is patting the baby to help *scoop* the baby over the side of the box.

Omg that was sooo cute the part where the little kitten is trying it’s hardest to get to mama!! 🥰 Mama cat be like “oh finally a spot to rest for a few minutes without being tackled & climbed over!!” (I personally know how that feels lol); But when her kitten fell, she got off her butt right away to check on her baby!! Priceless! That motherly bond is simply amazing how strong it can be! It comes with ALOT of worries attached to it as well tho! ♥️♥️

Nothing, cats don't actually speak in meows they mean nothing they've just learned to meow because they realize humans think meowing means something, cats actually communicate in blinks. I wonder why she touches the kitten with her paw. I thought, cats use their paws to play with prey or to defend themselves.
Do you think she might copy a human petting her and use that as a friendly gesture to her kitten?
My cat had three kittens and she'd use her paws to hold them still while she licked them.
They use their paws to play with other animals, too. If you ever observe two cats that are friends, you may see them shadow box or use their paw to pull the other in close for a grooming session.

I think she's attempting to get her kitten out of the box using her paw.
