It works fine now! No more heat build ups and it's quieter. The PS3 is still a noisy machine no matter what. It also loads games a tad faster, and it just looks better now 👊
Over all very nicely done. For anyone who's looking to do this Definitely take the time to use a blow dryer to gently remove the serial number and information sticker on the back and bottom to reapply after the unit was painted. Also the Little Playstation logo above the disk drive is a sticker that's removable. Would have reapplied that after the paint job. Also a matte enamel clear coat will protect it long-term.
I made some aesthetic choices on purpose though. I wasn't going to revert it back to it's original state. So no stickers. Also, i customized consoles since 2005 or something (Google 'Ricepuppet') and I didn't do the coating on purpose, as it won't be 'man-handled'. Its been sitting in a closed off closet ever since..
Mah 🤷 my comment is for other people who would want to do something similar after seeing your video so they can do it better. And most people who would actually go through the trouble of doing this would have the system at least on display if not using it. Also time spent doing something does not equal quality. Anyway the original goal of my comment was made. Nothing else to say.
I think you need to see my other videos where i do just what you spoke of in your first comment. I just chose not to do so this time. Personal choice of style i guess. I do think we both misfired in the comments and misunderstood each other.

Hi, nice job. Did you put a clear coat layer on top of the grey color?
I on purpose did not this time. Normally, i do. But I wanted it to be matte.
6:28 what spray paint did you use?
@@3dw4rd_3lr1c Primer coating, then a matte grey paint.
Wat een transformatie. Nice! :)
Bedankt!

Me too that's why i bought one.
What games do you like from the PS3 I like to The Saints row 3 and 2
I bought it specifically for MGS4 but I do have games like Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain and the Last of Us. I also have Saints Row 3.
I am sorry to bother you again. But do you know how to fix the PS3 from freezing A lot My PS3 been freezing a lot. And make me mad.
Heay issue i presume. Put on some new paste. Or else the PSU might be a dying factor. You can buy new PSUs trough Aliexpress.
