Fantastic.. thanks for inviting Dr. McGilchrist, who by far is my favourite thinker. If we are to survive the 21'st century, then we had better listen carefully to what he is saying. My recommendation to anybody who cares about our civilization is to buy his valuable books and read them very carefully, a few times if needed.

      leftism:
Otherwise known as “progressivism” and even more inaccurately as “liberalism”, leftism is a term originating from the French Revolution of 1789, in reference to the political faction that opposed the French (so-called) king. However, the term is currently used in common discourse to describe those criminals who actively support (or at least tacitly condone) a host of OBJECTIVELY-WICKED ideologies and practices that contravene dharma, such as non-monarchical governances and corrupt economic systems (particularly socialism, communism, fascism, and liberal democracies), egalitarianism, feminism, perverse sexuality (especially homosexuality, bestiality, and transvestism), multiculturalism, and the illegitimate abortion of innocent, defenceless, unborn children. Cf. “dharma”.
In a vain attempt to legitimize their objectively-immoral propensities, leftists invariably replace accurate terms with blatant EUPHEMISMS, such as “gay”, “sex worker”, “pro-choice”, and “queer”, and of course, coin novel words for notions that cannot exist, particularly the nonsensical term, “transgender”. Furthermore, leftists are constantly inventing truly inane, vacuous words to demonize conservatives, such as “homophobia” and “transphobia” (which literally mean “fear of sameness” and “fear of change”, respectively).
In the past decade or two (of this treatise being composed), the mass media, especially the motion picture industry and television production companies, has been aggressively promoting all the above CRIMINAL ideologies and practices, helping to expedite the destruction of human civilization. Recently, large corporations have jumped on the leftist bandwagon (so to speak), in order to profit.
As explicated in Chapter 11 of this “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, the state of being of any particular human (or any other animal, for that matter) is due entirely to his or her genetic sequencing and his or her conditioning. Therefore, the explosion of the leftist/liberal mentality in recent decades, particularly in Western countries, has been caused by poor breeding strategies overtaking the more conservative tradition of mate-selection of previous centuries (and indeed, millennia), as well as the concerted effort of Marxists to spread their nefarious ideology throughout the school system. In other words, due to the fact that criminal behaviour (especially the deviant sexual acts mentioned above) has become increasingly more tolerated, condoned, and even GLORIFIED in most countries, there has been a proliferation of corrupt genetic codes within the wider human population.
According to genealogists, for (almost) the entire history of humanity, most women have successfully reproduced, whilst a far far smaller percentage of males have bequeathed their genetic sequence to proceeding generations. Due to the gradual phasing-out of polygamous marriages in even the most conservative societies, as well as the eradication of poverty in most every country, more and more men (as well as women) have been producing offspring. Thus, the human genome has rapidly become adulterated by inferior genetic material (that is, DNA from truly pathetic, uxorious beta-males, bisexuals, and even homosexual couples who engage surrogate mothers or sperm donors in order to conceive children - something of a rare occurrence in previous centuries/millennia).
For centuries, breeders of elite animals such as horses, cattle, and dogs, have known that selecting the finest examples of a breed of animal will result in offspring with desirable characteristics. For example, present day thoroughbred horses boast a pedigree of the best-available horses from the seventeenth century. Such breeders are willing to pay enormous sums of money merely to hire the fastest stallions on earth in order for them to mate with their mares. In the case of we humans, women have traditionally chosen the most competent and masculine men with whom to bear children, and in general, have totally eschewed those males who displayed effeminate traits, and who showed themselves incapable of properly supporting a nuclear family. Unfortunately, due to rapid moral decay over the past few decades, Western women have become extremely sexually promiscuous, resulting in a multiplication of unwanted progeny (and, of course, an escalation of abortions). Boys born to single mothers often lack proper male roles models and invariably become feminized, unable (and often unwilling) to continue a strong lineage of progenitors. The solution to this problem is simply to ensure that society adheres to the principles of DHARMA (see the Glossary definition of that term, as well as Chapter 12).
Unsurprisingly, the majority of leftists find it difficult to accept the fact that their criminal mentality is largely inherited (and of course, they are unwilling to acknowledge the blatantly-obvious fact that their ideologies and practices are intrinsically sinful, wicked, evil and immoral in the first place!). It seems the consensus amongst leftist “intellectuals” is that every human mental trait is due entirely to one’s environmental conditioning and social milieu, rather than as a consequence of BOTH one’s genetic sequence and one’s life-long conditioning - a fundamentally-flawed assertion that cannot be scientifically supported. I would not be surprised if the typical leftist would believe that, if the parents of the twentieth century communist tyrant, Joseph Stalin, and the parents of the Divine Incarnation, Lord Jesus Christ, had somehow crossed the time barrier, and exchanged their baby boys shortly after their birth, that Stalin would have grown to become a Prophet for God, whilst Christ would have become a murderous, left-wing dictator!
This term was very reluctantly used in the chapter on feminism. I say “reluctantly” because it is unlikely that the term will perdure for many decades longer. This is simple deductive logic, since, as clearly demonstrated in certain chapters in “F.I.S.H”, human civilization cannot survive with such leftist practices and ideologies in place. If you happen to be reading this Holy Scripture a century or more after its conception, you will probably be residing in a nation (as opposed to a country) ruled by a monarch, following the implosion of post-modern, decadent societies. So, either the term “leftism” will eventually become redundant and obsolete, or else, human civilization will devolve into a decadent, diseased state of existence similar to that of the prehistoric era, when the peoples of the world resided in caves or shacks, subsisting on whatever food can be sourced from the surrounding bushland. I trust that you who are reading these wise words will endeavour to influence your social circles to adhere to right-leaning ideologies and practices, such as (above all) monarchical governance, an entirely free-market economy, sexual purity, veganism, and all other virtuous principles.
Fear not, for God is with you!
P.S. As a general rule, it seems (at least anecdotally) that the farther left-leaning is a person, the more physically (and of course, psychologically) UGLY is that person. Unfortunately, that does not seem to prevent leftists from propagating their mutant genes.🤡
N.B. In order to clarify the notion of inheritability, it is not being claimed that an adharmic (far-left) couple will INVARIABLY produce leftist children, but that it is more PROBABLE that they will do so, considering their genetic sequence and the environmental conditioning they are bound to impart to their children, just as two parents with a certain physiological disorder are more likely to generate offspring with that specific disease. In this regards, it is recommended to study introductory texts on epigenetics. 🧬
In my particular case, I was raised by a staunch communist, and so, was indoctrinated to believe that communism was the best course of action for a just society. Indeed, as a teenager, I even volunteered in the election campaign of a socialist politician, who eventually became the Premiere of the state of Western Australia. However, after studying dharma, I came to learn that I was misled by my father in this regard, and that the only system of governance that is dharmic (legitimate) is a divinely-sanctioned monarchy.

    To contemplate the divine.
    Beyond the words of man,
    Before conversations began.
Can you feel the feelings rumble
    Down beneath your skin?
    Can you somehow imagine
A reality without words or syllables,
    But nonetheless intelligible?

    Hello, Iain.
Thank you so much for your work. I’ve completed MaHE, but not yet started MwT, so perhaps you answer this in the latter (but I would be surprised if you did). I’ll try to be brief here.
Here in the US (probably even more than in the UK) we’ve had over 20 years of a verbose, vitriolic anti-religion (esp. Christianity) movement with the “New Atheism”. So much of this is in reaction, not to Theism, per se, but from the effects of [‘Fundamentalist’] Special Revelation, the belief that God has delivered specific edicts on how we should live. And, of course, when we then bring in the conflicts of Special Revelation from Islam with Christianity, more kerosene is dumped on this fire.
While I agree that we are starving for the spirituality lost over the past centuries, it seems exceedingly difficult for us to return to any meaningful Theism without falling back into the same conflict. Terms like, ‘God’ or ‘spiritual’ lead us immediately to, “Which God?” “Whose version of ‘spirituality’?” and so on. I can see the Left Brain’s dominance here, but also see no solution.
Sure, we can all just make ‘God’ in our image and generate a fantasy that suits us, but why would one person (or group) care about what another fashions? Thousands of movements & cults craft narratives which suit them, some appealing to none, some to great numbers.
We are left with categories and characters that need solidity, but how can they be of any value beyond the tastes of a few, which would never generate the cohesive power of our Premodern beliefs? Must we only embrace Eastern spirituality lacking in any hint of 'edicts' from God (sometimes lacking 'God' at all)?
I’d love to talk with you about this. Thank you for reading.
    Daniel

We, the tax payer, finally paid off the loan, in 2015, taken to pay wealthy plantation owners reparations when we abolished slavery. That's insanely poor management to borrow from an external banking system who were invested in the trade which meant they were effectively paying themselves to loan to the Brits who gave reparations to the businesses they were invested in. It's madness that each successive govt is only paying off the interest of these loans from the past which ultimately are foreign in nature so the circulation of capital is being taken out rather than circulated back into the Isles. I remember when most wanted to bring up a family. And what they wanted most of all for their children was for them to have a good education, and a community where their children could grow, learn, and to mature.
With the State, operated by remote collectivists, invading every part of our lives, Money is one of the few ways of attaining those goals. It's Disappointing, but true.
Capitalism is just the better management of capital, instead of it being lost in political intrigue, though the Banks are a problem.
Look at China: their Banks and Local Authorities are in a bad shape as well, and they have had to endure the One Child policy which is now causing problems.

Love Iain. Thank you for doing this interview. One note - the weird acknowledging hum thing that Dr. Martin does during the interview, it's a little distracting. I feel like it's meant to be an audio cue of sorts, like the hum is meant to mean yes, go on, I agree, but to my ear it comes off as almost condescending? Patronizing? Like when some pretentious academic at an Ivy League interview says yeah, yes, hmm hmmm, sure, yes, hmmm, yes, when they're really just humoring you and sort of subtlely making fun of you? Is it just me? I'm sure Dr. Martin did not intend to come off that way with the hum, right? Is it an Irish thing? Maybe it's just my American ear? Other than that, loved the interview. Great interview - the interviewer is deeply thoughtful and steered it well, though of course the light streams mainly from Dr McGilchrist (something which is kind of pre-ordained, though both men have clearly worked hard to improve their innate "right-brain" powers, whilst not neglecting their left brain). I am not surprised that Dr McG has, in recent talks on youtube, admitted to finding Christianity helpful when connecting with the "sacred", though he gives credit to other religions too. I am no expert, but It strikes me that Christianity (and before that Judaism) uniquely places enormous emphasis on avoiding hypocrisy, double standards, "othering", and "finger-pointing" aka the "blame game". The way the Bible achieves this, is by constantly looking at the "bigger picture", which is surely a right brain function? Obviously there is zero neuroscience in the Bible, yet all the pieces of the jigsaw are there, in rather poetic language which conveys eternal truths more efficiently than more rational, scientific language (though both types of language can do it well, and some communicators even manage to combine the two).
Of course many people who would not describe themselves as "Christian" (though they were raised in a still-extant Christendom before it breathed its last), have stated that our civilization is in steep decline. The last major work of D.H. Lawrence, who E.M. Forster called "the greatest imaginative novelist of this generation" was just called "Apocalypse" - and it is not a work of fiction. A description of it says "Written during the winter of 1929-30, "Apocalypse" is Lawrence's radical criticism of the political, religious and social structures that have shaped Western civilization. In his view the perpetual conflict within man, in which emotion, instinct and the senses vie with the intellect and reason, has resulted in society's increasing alienation from the natural world. Yet Lawrence's belief in humanity's power to regain the imaginative and spiritual values which alone can revitalize our world also makes Apocalypse a powerful statement of hope."
I have not read it yet - I have just ordered a second-hand copy. Lawrence (like everyone B.McG (Before McGilchrist)) seems to have made the error of seeing emotion as being in conflict with reason, but I am sure he would have been bowled over by the proposition that A) it is not emotion v. reason but rather "Bigger Picture" v. "Attention to Detail", and B) there is no conflict, really, it is just that the Bigger Picture is, or should be, the Master, and Attention to Detail the Servant. I am sure Forster, with his "Only Connect" and "The Machine Stops" stance, would be equally delighted, and going farther back so would William Blake, Mary Shelley, Tennyson, in fact everyone in the literary world and a good number in the world of science and engineering which has always drawn heavily on the right brain for its major triumphs. "High Horse Riderless", a 1940s book by L.T.C. Rolt, the canals engineer, typifies this marriage of tech with the Bigger Picture - the title is from a poem by Yeats, and we all know what he thought about modern civilization. It was a high horse riderless, in a nutshell - and that was back in 1931.
Linking back to the Bible - surely this "Bigger Picture" emphasis is the essence of its central tenet that when things go wrong it is the entire Nation that is at fault, not just elements within it? Hence the emphasis on avoiding virtue-signalling and holier-than-thou postures and simply confessing your own sins daily. Whilst noting and perhaps trying to mitigate downright misdemeanours by others - i.e. there is no question of not discriminating between right and wrong, in your self intially but after that in others.
That said, there is no indication that anyone can avoid the collective punishment of the Almighty upon a wayward Nation, either by virtue-signalling like the arrogant Pharisee or by confessing like the humble Publican. Doing good and/or being good (in a humble way) do have a purpose though, when it comes to admission to the next world. Without belief in God and His Kingdom, there would be little point to doing and/or being good, because in this world the wicked - or at least the greedy - prosper and always have - this was obvious even 1000 years B.C., or 3000 come to that. Where do humans get their unique ability to believe in A) Virtue for its own sake and B) another world where the wicked will not be admitted? - well, from their religions, yes, but beyond that from their right brain, surely?
This is why it is important to nurture the right hemisphere, I would have thought. Its physical formation in the womb is possibly beyond our control, as are any injuries to it after birth (or during it!). But we can work on our entire way of seeing things, and of teaching young minds - and in the 1970s several education experts did suggest "De-Schooling Society" etc.
This "De-Schooling" would not have damaged Science - on the contrary, since all the West's best scientists seem to have been self-taught, including the phenomenal George Boole, the son of a cobbler. Boole is probably a good example of a maths genius with a powerful right brain as well as a powerful left one, as you can guess at once from a brief biography of him - but I have no doubt most "old school" scientists would turn out to have a good balance between the Master and the Emissary.
As McG has suggested, modern Science suffers from an over-emphasis on the left brain, though this is hard to prove with left-brain types of proof. So does modern, or rather modernized, Christianity. By contrast, Christianity as written in the Bible does not accommodate the modern world at all - so it has become vastly counter-cultural in its traditional (and true) form, and is even heading for persecution, AGAIN.

He should address at some point in his unique career the history of the British Empire and its “Legacy of Violence”, the recent book by Harvard professor Caroline Elkins. Most importantly, her analysis to “the corridors of power” between Oxford U and Whitehall expose the utter corruption, horrors, brutalities, and genocidal insanities of Empire fueled at Oxford University and its graduates. The current atheism of Dawkins, for example, a left brained egoist who sounds like the irrational megalomaniacs of Empire building, should be understood in the history of the colleges at Oxford. In truth, the Dawkins atheism is another form of intellectual imperialism and colonialism of the mind akin to the aggression and viciousness of Oxford and the East India Company for over 400 years. Ian should take on this critical history in the context of University.

I never fail to admire this man's sheer genius! As a Christian I can only pray that the missing piece in the jigsaw that perpetually evades him (and which he'd clearly not entertain - as yet - as factual) is the absolute veracity of Christ - Son of the ONLY God - the Creator - come to Earth to lead us into the vast eternity of a new timeless universe. It of course seems 'impossible' to most people - even absurd - ridiculous - and then for some. all the same, the penny drops and He - Christ - comes to us to revolutionize everything we are...And we know things nobody else can...
If this man was ever actually to know what we know as the Truth, he would 'take off'!!
I pray he does someday for the sake of the new writings in re-evaluation of his past work.

    Contradictory: *impossible to be true.*
    Non-contradictory: *possible to be true.*
❌️Contradictory Theology (knowing good), Mathematics and Physics (functions; limit built into every operation)❌️:
    1. The Genesis 1 character and the Genesis 2 character are the exact same character (knowing good).
    2. Zero is not fundamental and nonzero numbers are fundamental (Newton/Einstein calculus).
    3. 0D is not locally real and 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D are locally real (Newton/Einstein geometry).
⬆️ this is what we're all taught. Materialist/Empiricist version of reality.⬆️
✅️Non-contradictory Theology (knowing good from evil), Mathematics and Physics (relations defined by constraints; limit is a separate operation)✅️:
    1. The Genesis 1 character and the Genesis 2 character are polar opposite characters (knowing good from evil).
    2. Zero is fundamental and nonzero numbers are not fundamental (Leibniz calculus).
    3. 0D is locally real and 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D are not locally real (Leibniz physics).
⬆️ this is what quantum physics proved a year ago. Realist version of reality.⬆️
    [🦄Materialism/Empiricism💩 version of Religion]:
Interpreting the Bible with the Genesis 1 character and the Genesis 2 character as the exact same character generates near 70,000 contradictions (see reason project) and requires heavy apologetics. A Bible interpretation which includes near 70,000 contradictions (impossible to be true) is what a snake-oil salesman would sell you. 🐍
    [🦤Materialism/Empiricism💩 version of Science]:
The standard model of physics is Einstein's 3+1 space-time, which are considered locally real, where 0 is considered not locally real...been that way since Newton for zero vs nonzero numbers.
Problem is...quantum physics proved the observable universe (1D, 2D, 3D and 4D) is actually not locally real...and that was over a year ago.
(Yes, Leibniz was correct after all.) 🦧
[Layman's terminology of locally real vs not locally real]:
locally real = more real (Leibniz said "necessary")
not locally real = less real (Leibniz said "contingent")
    [Closing arguments]:
The Materialism/Empiricism package contains within itself all the contradictions, false dichotomies, paradoxes and literally "life's biggest questions". It's been a year why is everyone still using Logic, Calculus and Geometry that is contradictory at the most fundamental level? Legitimate question 🙋.
If both Religion and Science removed their "Materialist/Empiricist-perspective shades 👓" (impossible to be true for a year) and put on their "Realist-perspective shades 👓" (possible to be true for a year) they would not only cease to argue...they'd agree with each other (world first 🪙).

      [Infinity and zero, theology, soul]:
      in·fin·i·ty
      MATHEMATICS
a number greater than any assignable quantity or countable number (symbol ∞).
(In counting numbers 0 is the subject where positive integers "1, 2, 3 and 4 etc" are the objects).
What is the meaning of zero in Webster's dictionary?
      a. : the arithmetical symbol 0 or 0̸ denoting the absence of all magnitude or quantity.
      b. : additive identity. specifically : the number between the set of all negative numbers and the set of all positive numbers.
Zero is the most important number in mathematics and is both a real and an imaginary number with a horizon through it.
Zero-dimensional space is the greatest dimension in physics and is both a real and an imaginary dimension with an event horizon through it.
      Isn't⚡God⚡supposed to be outside of space (1D, 2D, 3D) and time (4D)?
Well, 0D is outside of space and time:
      0D (not-natural) = dimensionless and timeless
      1D, 2D, 3D (natural) = spatial dimensions
      4D (natural) = temporal dimension
Read Leibniz's Monadology 📖 and consider that the Monad is the zero-dimensional space binding our quarks together with the strong force (it is). The other side of the Monad is Monos (Alone) and this side is Monas (Singularity) and there's an event horizon between them. So El/Elohim or Theos/Logos etc pick your language.
Quarks are dimensionless (no size) and timeless (not-natural). The two main quark spin configs two-down, one-up (subatomic to neutron) and two-up, one-down (subatomic to proton) could easily be construed as the male (upward facing trinity) and female (downward facing trinity) image that Elohim made us in during Genesis 1.
Quarks (no spatial extension) experience all 3 fundamental forces plus have a fractional electric charge⚡and that's why protons and neutrons (spatial extension) have electrons orbiting around them.
In Geometry any new dimension has to contain within it all previous dimensions. This holds true with it being impossible for atomic protons and neutrons (spatial extension) to exist without subatomically containing within themselves quarks (no spatial extension).
"Something (spatial extension) from Nothing (no spatial extension)".
      A) The postulated soul, 👻, has
      1. no spatial extension
      2. zero size
      3. exact location only
      B) Quarks are mass with no size measured in Megaelectron Volts. Mass with no size is a unique equation in that it has no spatial extension.
Conclusion: A and B are the same thing.

      [Important point 👉 (dont forget)]:
0D (zero) is different from 1D-10D (nonzero) because 0D is a not-natural dimension whereas 1D-10D are natural dimensions.
      0D monad (Creator event horizon)
      1D, 2D, 3D are spatial (space) dimensions
      1D line
      2D width
      3D height
      4D, 5D, 6D are temporal (time) dimensions
      4D length
      5D breadth
      6D depth
      7D, 8D, 9D are spectral (energy) dimensions
      7D continuous
      8D emission
      9D absorption
10D black hole (Destroyer event horizon)
It is impossible for anything 1D-9D to approach 0D or 10D due to their event horizons. 10D contains a placeholder 0 (not locally real) for its event horizon. Only 0D is locally real on this side.
The other side of the event horizon at the zero-of yourself (near horizon) is God.
The other side of the event horizon of a black hole (far horizon) is not God.
Anything we know about black holes (Destroyer) we know the opposite of that is true for monads (Creator), and we know some crazy sci-fi stuff about black holes.
It's a mirror universe with 0D at the center. This side (Elohim; Singularity) is contingent and less real (the natural dimensions anyway) and the other side (El; Alone) is necessary and more real (pretty sure the entirety of the other side remains locally real).
The zero-of ourselves (more real 👻) was made by the Holy Trinity (Deity; possessive; God's) in Genesis 1 which should not be confused with the Unholy Trinity (Deity; plural; gods) in Genesis 2-3 who messes with the 1D, 2D, 3D parts of us (less real 🤷‍♂️).
Elohim was "syncretized" to just mean El during the Babylonian captivity. To avoid this simply use the Latin, "unsyncretized", counterpart Deity for possessive (God's) and plural (gods) context. (Septuagint and Vulgate use Post-Babylonian captivity "syncretized" meaning of Elohim so mistranslate as Theos and Deus, respectively).
Gen 2-3 introduces the placeholder Elohim (not locally real) and their blind, foolish chief running amok. Plurality of bad guy that 'are' each other and 'are not' God.
Nephilim are sons of the false Elohim associated with Yahweh (the BAAL, or LORD, of the gods).

Monad (from Greek μονάς monas, "singularity" in turn from μόνος monos, "alone") refers, in cosmogony, to the Supreme Being, divinity or the sum "I am" of all things.
The concept was reportedly conceived by the Pythagoreans and may refer variously to a single source acting alone, or to an indivisible origin, or to both.
The concept was later adopted by other philosophers, such as Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, who referred to the Monad as an *elementary particle.*
It had a *geometric counterpart,* which was debated and discussed contemporaneously by the same groups of people.
[In this speculative scenario, let's consider Leibniz's *Monad,* from the philosophical work "The Monadology", as an abstract representation of *the zero-dimensional space that binds quarks together* using the strong nuclear force]:
      1) Indivisibility and Unity: Monads, as indivisible entities, mirror the nature of quarks, which are deemed elementary and indivisible particles in our theoretical context. Just as monads possess unity and indivisibility, quarks are unified in their interactions through the strong force.
      2) Interconnectedness: Leibniz's monads are interconnected, each reflecting the entire universe from its own perspective. In a parallel manner, the interconnectedness of quarks through the strong force could be metaphorically represented by the interplay of monads, forming a web that holds particles together.
      3) Inherent Properties: Just as monads possess inherent perceptions and appetitions, quarks could be thought of as having intrinsic properties like color charge, reflecting the inherent qualities of monads and influencing their interactions.
      4) Harmony: The concept of monads contributing to universal harmony resonates with the idea that the strong nuclear force maintains harmony within atomic nuclei by counteracting the electromagnetic repulsion between protons, allowing for the stability of matter.
      5) Pre-established Harmony: Monads' pre-established harmony aligns with the idea that the strong force was pre-designed to ensure stable interactions among quarks, orchestrating their behavior in a way that parallels the harmony envisaged by Leibniz.
      6) Non-Mechanical Interaction: Monads interact non-mechanically, mirroring the non-mechanical interactions of quarks through gluon exchange. This connection might be seen as a metaphorical reflection of the intricacies of quark-gluon dynamics.
      7) Holism: The holistic perspective of monads could symbolize how quarks, like the monads' interconnections, contribute holistically to the structure and behavior of particles through the strong force interactions.
[Monad in mathematics, science and technology]:
Monad (biology), a historical term for a simple unicellular organism
Monad (category theory), a construction in category theory
Monad (functional programming), functional programming constructs that capture various notions of computation
Monad (homological algebra), a 3-term complex
Monad (nonstandard analysis), the set of points infinitesimally close to a given point

"Some first follow the true Savior but then turn away to worship a dead man." - the revelation of Peter
THE WORLD RULER TRIES TO KILL ME
And then a voice of the world ruler came to the angels: “I am god and there is no other god but me.” But I laughed joyfully when I examined his conceit. But he went on to say, “Who is the human?”
And the entire host of his angels who had seen Adam and his dwelling were laughing at his smallness. And thus did their thought come to be removed outside the majesty of the heavens, away from the human of truth, whose name they saw, since he is in a small dwelling place. They are foolish and senseless in their empty thought, namely, their laughter, and it was contagion for them.
The whole greatness of the fatherhood of the spirit was at rest in its places. And I was with him, since I have a thought of a single emanation from the eternal ones and the unknowable ones, undefiled and immeasurable. I placed the small thought in the world, having disturbed them and frightened the whole multitude of the angels and their ruler. And I was visiting them all with fire and flame because of my thought.
And everything pertaining to them was brought about because of me. And there came about a disturbance and a fight around the seraphim and cherubim, since their glory will fade, and there was confusion around Adonaios on both sides and around their dwelling, up to the world ruler and the one who said, “Let us seize him.” Others again said, “The plan will certainly not materialize.” For Adonaios knows me because of hope. And I was in the mouths of lions. And as for the plan that they devised about me to release their error and their senselessness, I did not succumb to them as they had planned. And I was not afflicted at all.
Those who were there punished me, yet I did not die in reality but in appearance, in order that I not be put to shame by them because these are my kinsfolk. I removed the shame from me, and I did not become fainthearted in the face of what happened to me at their hands. I was about to succumb to fear, and I suffered merely according to their sight and thought so that no word might ever be found to speak about them.
For my death, which they think happened, happened to them in their error and blindness, since they nailed their man unto their death. Their thoughts did not see me, for they were deaf and blind. But in doing these things, they condemn themselves. Yes, they saw me; they punished me.
It was another, their father, who drank the gall and the vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his shoulder. It was another upon whom they placed the crown of thorns. But I was rejoicing in the height over all the wealth of the rulers and the offspring of their error, of their empty glory. And I was laughing at their ignorance.

Why have guests if you do all the talking ?

I love McGilchrist’s ideas and the interviewer seems interesting and well informed but he has to stop all the ‘mmmm-ing” while his guest is speaking. It’s horribly distracting.
