I remember trying to explain to male coworkers that the women they saw on Instagram were, in fact, wearing full faces of makeup, just in natural colors. I don’t think they believed me 😂
Instagram? Depending on the account, add facetune, photoshop and filters to the mix. Believing what you see in social media is the reality is very foolish.
Even women believe everything they see on instagram sometimes, it’s crazy. I had a coworker who showed me a pic of a skinny girl with super defined abs and a curvy waist that was obviously unnatural and she told me she wanted to be like that. When I told her it was photoshopped she didn’t want to believe me lol.
@@bell4898yeah girls don’t get abs like men do and it comes at the cost of fertility. Like even women in the police force and military don’t have defined abs and 30% of them stressed their bodies so much they’re infertile.
I agree. The point of the interview wasn't what men expect women to look like. The point of the interview was to make women more aware of what they're doing to their bodies just for the pleasure of the male gaze. If a man doesn't like the way that you look naturally, he's not worth your time. And this is coming from someone who truly never wears makeup. I didn't even own makeup to wear to my sister's wedding. She had to give me some face cream and powder to put on that's all I was willing to do. I'm also 35 years old and I still get carded and have people tell me I look like I'm 18. Because my skin is healthy. Because I never bombarded it with makeup or tanning products or sunlight. I'm not trying to say that I wasn't naturally blessed with good looks. I never would have been willing to say that growing up, but I now have the confidence to believe that. But part of that confidence actually comes from accepting all my flaws and refusing to be embarrassed by them or try to cover them up! Also, the girl in this video is a bad example because she's really effing beautiful even without any makeup! More beautiful than me! And I just got finished bragging about how confident I am in my own beauty! 😂
to be completely honest, her right side looks just as good as the left at the end. just different. the blemishes and colors don't even register in my brain.
@@EamonWill I personally think every girl is beautiful, with and without makeup. But there are many reasons girls and guys will use makeup. Maybe for fun or they just like practicing on their skills, but some people just use it because they are insecure. @@EamonWill It's not even that, it was just the pure hypocrisy of what she was saying in the interview. She was trying to act like she was better than other people and encourage them to be like her when she wasn't even telling the truth. Yes people should feel confident without makeup, but makeup is not inherently a bad thing. My husband knows the difference between natural look and completely makeup free. One of the first times he said “Are you sure you want to leave the house without makeup?” society tells me that I should have been insulted, but I was actually so relieved. Not only does he acknowledge that makeup makes my skin less blotchy, but he knew my “natural” makeup was actually foundation, a little bit of blush, lipgloss, and mascara (without me telling him.) Unlike this one guy I stayed friends with after we broke up, and he was going on and on and on about how beautiful this new girl he was dating was without any makeup. I was like “That’s weird, every time I’ve seen her she’s wearing makeup.” Then I realized he thought that she was makeup free. Lol

I work in health and was on a Zoom call without makeup, and one of the psychiatrists commented that I looked tired, and asked if I was ok. I just replied - no this is my actual face without makeup, to which he went 'oh...ok....'.
Was this psychiatrist someone who you know that sees you all the time usually with makeup on? I keep seeing comments like this. I'm 40 and haven't worn a single bit of makeup in 20 yrs. Literally not one single person I know now has ever seen me wear anything other than chapstick. I have never once been asked if I was tired or told I look sick or anything like that. If someone is always wearing makeup, especially full coverage then people are only seeing them with "perfect" looking skin so when they don't wear it, I think it's reasonable for them to assume something may be wrong because they look different. I’m a cosmetic biochemist. The skin is selectively permeable (meaning it won’t just absorb anything you put on it, that’s why your skin doesn’t fall apart when it gets wet). Ingredients in makeup might seem scary if you’re not familiar w chemistry, but they’re perfectly safe. Just make sure you’re washing your makeup off well using an oil cleanser or double cleanse to prevent pore clogging from the makeup sitting on top of the skin. If makeup helps boost your confidence, use it 🖤 to each their own Edit: Obv I’m only referring to makeup that contains regulated ingredients, like what you would find at Walmart/Target, Sephora, Ulta, etc. I’m not referring to makeup that may have been hazardously produced (like from wish/aliexpress or other non reputable cosmetic dealers) & this doesn’t mean that people won’t possibly have a reaction to something in the makeup, but that’s a highly complex topic. Overall, the ingredients used in (regulated) cosmetics are generally recognized as safe & there are set concentrations of what can be used. This comes after extensive research on parabens in the lab. Remember; it’s not the poison, it’s the dose that matters. Water (aka dihydrogen oxide) can unalive us but it keeps us alive too.

@@FortniteChamp69makeup is designed to not be “terrible” for you. Sometimes, depending on your skin type, certain brands of makeup can break you out or cause irritation but may not for another person, that’s because people have different types of skin. Makeup isn’t supposed to be bad for you, you would just need to find the right kind if you want to wear makeup.
You need to show them no makeup makeup tutorials. They will questions their purpose in life after tgat 😂😂😂😂
@@bell4898yeah girls don’t get abs like men do and it comes at the cost of fertility. Like even women in the police force and military don’t have defined abs and 30% of them stressed their bodies so much they’re infertile.
Some guys are just dumb
This is the most sarcastic way to reply to that interview lol
I think all of those are okay, even if I think makeup shouldn’t be to cover up anything on your face. But it helps people feel good, and to me, that’s all I would want. This is just my opinion, once again
@@EamonWill It's not even that, it was just the pure hypocrisy of what she was saying in the interview. "I never wear make up, I don't like it, etc" when she was very clearly wearing eyeliner and mascara. She was trying to act like she was better than other people and encourage them to be like her when she wasn't even telling the truth. Yes people should feel confident without makeup, but makeup is not inherently a bad thing. People will wear it because they like how it looks, they want to accent certain parts of themselves, they use it as an expression of art. It can be a lot more than just a way to cover up insecurities. I rarely wear makeup, but when I do its me experimenting with colors, design, and what I like for fun

I don’t have a bf, but my bsf is a boy, and he compliments me when I’m home wearing an oversized tee, jeans, and a chaotic hairstyle, I can even have paint on my face and he’ll still hang out with me. You r right Good men like us for being us.
This!!! Same here, get yall a real man not a boy!❤️
There's so many people these days that wear a ton of makeup and look like a completely different person with out it. I mean its not surprising too me that people would get confused when they don't wear it.
@@Xessa82Good point!
@@Xessa82 But grown men should be aware that women look different with and without make up. They should know what a natural woman's face looks like. Regardless, it's kind of rude to tell someone they look tired, especially in a group setting. There was no reason for it. I would expect a psychiatrist to be a bit more socially aware and not so lacking in discretion when it comes to such things.
I wish I had never gotten in the habit of wearing makeup to work. Now I feel like I can't go without it :(
@@katiegraham8484 I recommend slowly and gradually toning it down. Use a little less blush, mascara or eye liner than you are now, for a few weeks. Then use even less. Then one day you can use none, and it won't be a shock. Especially if you wear cute outfits and do your hair nicely, then people won't even notice or remember how much make up you used to wear. And you'll be very comfortable going out the door with none on, or at least very little. This is what I did and it worked out. I never thought I could leave the house with so little and feel as confident as I did before.
Girl, you are gorgeous
Fondation is what makes me break out 😂
My mom always told me that makeup is not to cover up natural beauty but rather adds to it
Edit: ty to all the kind people and likes, and to those who are upset about makeup, it's makeups, that's all it is saying it hides something, or makes u ugly, ect ect is just as toxic as people who say makeup is the only way to beauty, wearing makeup isn't just an excuse to cover up insecuritys, it's to show the world who u are, it's way to be happy with yourself, it's a way to carry on traditions, wearing makeup makes u just as beautiful as you where before, and not wearing it makes you just as beautiful if u did. Stop making fun of others who do or don't, it's childish, worry about things that matter like your rights, your family, friends, don't fight for the destruction of makeup, fight for you and your vision of world where people can live a life that's worth living, and don't worry if there's makeup in that world. Ty for reading this all, ik it's alot lol, have a good day, don't judge others or yourself ♡
Exactly!!!! 👏👏
Now that is beautiful!
Yeah in my opinion it can be a great tool to exaggerate certain natural beauties on a persons face, but sadly people fall into the habit of concealing the things that make them so unique.
in fact write of google name what these are emulsifier, preservative, thickener, emollient, fragrance and pH stabilisers
Makeup is supposed to ENHANCE a woman's natural features.
If makeup helps boost your confidence, use it 🖤 to each their own
Edit: Obv I’m only referring to makeup that contains regulated ingredients, like what you would find at Walmart/Target, Sephora, Ulta, etc.
Exactly 👌🏻
And some skin is more sensitive than others which causes some to break out
The Voice of reason, thank you ❤
Yes!! I don't get why the big deal, it's literally just (skin safe) paint you put on and can remove... It's nothing permanent. Hair color is more permanent than make up...
Yes! Almost everything is safe on your skin as long as you wash it off thoroughly.
right side: super pretty
Left side: SUPER PRETTY!!
You’re so pretty ❤
I'm against makeup... for myself
I don't care what others do, but I hate wearing it 💀
Same. I’ll do a tinted moisturizer and some clear mascara
If I feel fancy. Lol….
Some cover up if I have pimples but I don’t get those anymore 😅
Same. If I do wear makeup, it's a homemade blush (mix of beetroot and arrowroot powder) on my cheeks and eyes, then mixed with a bit of oil on my lips. I do that for the reasons the voice in the video said. I have sensitive skin and makeup has always been an irritant.
@@thehufflepuffdemigod Yes, same. Only thing is that it's also stressful to put on for me😆 So unless there's like a really fancy dinner, I won't wear any at all. And when I do wear some, it's mascara, highlighter and that's it. Because I already blush a lot from heat and cold, I don't want to enhance that redness with even more blush💀
Same. I generally only use lip glosses and lip balms as my make up. Usually, just Burt’s Bees and Carmex, 😂
For special occasions, I’ll use some under eye brightener and mascara, but cleaning it all off is such a hassle.
I’ve never liked the feel of foundation on my face; it feels like I have a dirt mask on my face lol. My skin likes to breathe, and it’s quite sensitive so I was never able to find my color in any foundation anyways.
I think I’d only bother for, like, my own wedding (not in my immediate plans but never say never). Or my own graduation, when I get a Master’s degree. Definitely for a ph. D.
@@thedarknessofnana Yes exactly ^-^
Had my prom around 2 months ago, I wore the bare minimum, a bit of concealer and other things of the sort, my face was quite miserable during the whole time. I kept thinking of showering and removing the product on my face it was that bad😮💨
And I also use Burt's bees.. love those lip balms
The irony in this is that the girl talking is 100% wearing makeup 😂
NOT TO MENTION, make up, doesn’t necessarily negatively impact your skin. The way you take care of your skin, prep your skin, and remove make up or all factors. But most, if not all cosmetics nowadays, have some form of skin care inside the ingredients list of the product. They are supposed to give minimal benefits, such as sun, protection, moisture, etc. This lady don’t know what she’s talking about 😂 and should also let women live how they want and wear however much or little makeup they please
This is just an audio used, the girl whose talking wasn't actually wearing any make up in the original video
@@SomeoneToYou there is a link to the original video through the audio button, she's wearing makeup

That woman sounds like a pick me
her giggle when the man expresses that he’s impressed by her… not wearing makeup I guess lol
was very telling
she’s not wearing makeup for male validation so what’s the difference lmao
She sounds even more like a pick me when you realize she was wearing a “no makeup” makeup look lol. I can see mascara, eye liner, lipgloss, and concealer.
@@starcatcher9788Lipgloss isn't really makeup. And she was wearing eyeliner at most
She does have a point though, in that it’s harmful for your skin and you can soak in toxins through your skin
she prob says this while she's wearing makeup. y'all i swear this is all natural
edit- sorry y'all i didnt mean this to the girl that made the video just mean the girl that made the audio
I do love that feeling where you really like someone and then you see them for the first time without make up and messy hair and you think they're more beautiful than ever
Have you genuinely felt this way towards someone before?

I love that you did this because honestly, that girl had a full face of makeup while she said that and the other girls at the table knew and didn't call her out. They're so much better than me because i would've brought out a wet wipe from my purse and told her to prove it 😂😂😂
What interview is the audio from?? I was hoping it was some sort of satire omg💀😭
@@nicemmmm it was an episode of the whatever podcast. Some girl that identifies as the female version of Andrew Tate was there and being an absolute pick me. It was kind of hilarious because there were many girls with glam makeup on, who she was trying to put in a bad light and you could see on their facial expressions they knew she was indeed wearing makeup but they spared her. Best move imo.
It's always been hilarious to me given Pearl definitely wears makeup. Also her comment about women who aren't virgins not deserving to get married........... when.............she herself....isn't a virgin. I thought she was being satirical but no, just a hypocrite like most misogynists
@@lenafoxy7674that wasnt pearl and yes pearl does wear makeup.
What other girl? What are you referring to? I don't get the whole clip. It was thrown on me by TH-cam's algorithms but can't make any sense of it.
What is she trying to prove?
a) women are actually looking better when they use make-up in a more modest and sensible way?
b) women that look natural and claim they don't use make-up, are lying?
