I bought this humidifier based on this video and love it. I put it on my amazon watchlist and got it on a one day sale for under $300. It is in a small 3x5 tent but it is exactly what I wanted because it only fires up for a couple seconds an hour and keeps my VPD right where I want it. My old humidifier had to be refilled every 2 days and was constantly running (low humidity in SoCal). I plumbed the Ideal-Air 75 to a 29 gallon water bladder and now things are so much easier. The plants are happy. I'm happy. The only complaint I have is the complete lack of instructions to plumb the unit. I assumed from looking at the pictures and videos online, the connector to the unit was a nipple that needed a hose with an INSIDE diameter of 1/4". I didn't realize until I finally got frustrated and removed the float valve that I discovered it was actually a compression fitting that requires an OUTER diameter of 1/4" and you just loosen the nut, push in the hose and tighten the nut back down. Very simple if they even bothered to show a little picture of the valve and its parts. But nothing. Still, this is a pumper and suitable even for smaller tents. One last thing. This is technically an evaporative unit, not sonic. So if you have high mineral water like our city does, it won't leave that white powder everywhere.
The best Humidifier for a grow tent is whatever you can find at goodwill for next to nothing, then just use a inkbird or whatever to control it. They are usually all same internally, either its a old style spinning atty or a transducer disk with a fan.
It can rain out my tent if I want it too. It’s really overkill for my setup. When I got it, there wasn’t many bigger options than the random humidifiers on Amazon.
@@basementfigs okay, Thanks for the quick response! I have a 4x4 tent that I keep closed but I run my inline fan on a low setting- circulating air 24/7. Think it’s got the horsepower to keep it at like 75 ish percent?
RO water is suppose to be the best. But they make hose attachments that filter the water just like an RO unit… just to screen the white particles from appearing
Always keeping me in check! Thanks for catching it. It’s now updated in the description. But here it is: www.amazon.com/dp/B08H1GKS7Y/?tag=Basementfigs
Been using one for 10 years.. In a plastic rez of your choosing (I use 15 gallon barrel) for 1/4" hose drill 3/32" hole in the bottom and pull hose thru with pliers (100% water proof) attach other end to humidifier and go.. After every run, it's taken apart and cleaned with vinegar and water.. PITA but yes they are expensive now. BTW that clear hose you're using will algae up right away.. get black.
OH yes! you'll need a humidistat to turn it on/off at 50%-60% or so or it will be a rain forest in there by morning and your rez will be empty.. I've been trying to make the time to try it on a rheostat to turn the volume down some..
How can you give a video of this item without discussing the most important part...installing it? How cares what it looks like or even what it comes with...how is it connected, how to get it working? Clearly, it leaks if not connected correctly and it is a garbage that it comes with no connectors
For sure it isn't easy to use in a small to medium tent/room but haven't found one that does the job better one one sorts out the bet way to move that wet air and one must have a humidistat to turn it off when RH% you set is reached or you'll need a mop to get the water off the floor.. maybe a wet vacuum. This bitch puts out ALOT of water. Started, just today, looking at Vivosun humidifier.. 5 gallon rez. $160..better than $300+.
I'm not really trying to rush you at all by any means necessary my even my humidifier which is completely black has a white foam on it to the point I can just wipe it off it's weird I sure could use your help if you need my phone number please just let me know
I'm only asking because my filters and my tent is filled with a small thin white foam of white powder is it the water that I'm using

I get it, but most won't turn back on after the inkbird shuts it down.
hey i got a question! what humidity is the humidifier keeping the humidity at? with the doors open?

Is there a special type of water to use for your humidifier

Great find. It worth the money, if you ran out of water on a cold night when heat is on for long time, then your plants are toast.
Yes it happened to me towards the end of the season in the tent… luckily I caught it before the plants couldn’t recover.
Great video again! You have a link for the controller? Can’t seem to find

@@basementfigs Awesome thanks! Gonna keep an eye on this controller see if it dips lower in price
@@pdiscool that price sky rocketed since I got it… but I couldn’t live without it. They upgraded the app and listening to the user base.
Hi do turn the light off often or u let the light on all the time
I use a controller called NIWA
I have been losing my mind trying to find a resource on how to plumb this thing. As far as i can tell, it doesnt exist. Any resource?

Buildasoil black Friday sale? Edit, oh you said Amazon. Buildasoil also sells these.
BAS starting price is a lot higher. I would have bought it from them, but it was too much.
Hey, where were the Suzuki jokes lol cool channel bro.
Are you talking about my brother!?
Make sure you use soft or ro water 💧 👍🏻
Wish I knew before hand… lol
I did that for a while but still had to clean it once a year or so.. so now tap water if it needs to be cleaned anyway.
Ac infinity
It wasn’t out when I purchased this.
My name is Warren just to let you know so in case you have a comment for me I would love to know

@richardbucci9151 this was way to strong for my grow tent. It took awhile adjusting the humidity with my controller to get it not to wet in there.

Get RO water pre filter attached before it goes into your humidifier
