Mazak CNC Lathe Bar Face Function. In this video, I am showing how to program using the Bar Face function. This is for cutting in the X direction vs the Z direction.

I've been programming mazaks via mazatrol for close to 20 years now, and I just learned something new today. Thank you for making these videos. There aren't many people making these step by step videos on mazatrol programming. The programming manuals supplied with the (older) machines might as well be in a foreign language if you're a newbie trying to understand them.

Mazatrol is the best, QTN 200 with 640T from late 90's and must say it's friendliest system for panel programming of all systems from that era 🧡 Just the thought of returning back to G-codes terrifies me👻

Could you do a video on writing a program that calls up a subprogram and uses arguments? Example: drill and threading a hole with a single edge thread mill in a vertical mill. Same size thread in different locations.

Just a bit confused on the tool shape...on the 2nd part you used a general-edge 35 deg tool. To cut that part requires a rather odd boring bar. So how does that work?

36 degree diamond turning tool mounted parallel to Z axis. Nothing special.
