04:50 I was folding clothes and I busted out laughing realizing how much of a nerd Ni-doms are for different presepectives. I catch myself saying the same thing when someone is willing to tell me their mental model of a topic. 13:10 That's why I love working with healthy ENTJs. No nonsense and we all get to go home early. I also don't think people are aware that ENTJs are open to feedback as long as it makes sense so that might be scary for non-confrontational people. Thanks for providing your insights Cat!
🤓 You know me, I can never get enough of those mental models. I find with your videos, Jon, you cover all three clicks. Your need for guests to be authentic keeps things real and relatable which is something I really respect. Yeah, Cat's great. It was cool to meet someone in the wild who knew the cognitive functions so well. Her calculated effort to earn relationship points amuses me. ENTJs can be this great blend of cold, pragmatic, and earnest.
Always deeply interesting! Some of my creative mentors in life have been ENTJs and when it comes to the min maxing... it is not always a bad thing you see! What I hold deep respect for and interests me the most about ENTJs is how they go out of their way to get things done in projects while maintaining a steady course of on hands executive decisions which also involves lifting up and motivating others to do their best. Looking forward to hear more from your adventures!
I think it's more how ENFPs can appear like ENTJS because because of their Te they are much more ' calculating' than you'd expect when you see their outward somewhat showy, charismatic(Ne+FI) , optimistic (Ne), sometimes even a bit innocent (Fi) personal display sometimes. Then it does not seem there is any Te, yet ENFPs can be pretty Te-calculating, even with people (or especially with people). However. its typically not a side they really show on first impression or even second. Also, while it does appear she seems she really does have Te, but even more Ne..and that creates this sort of half fantasizing, half optimizing sort of feel she's expressing. You see her eyes move in all directions all excited when she's talking about something, which is very common eye movement for Ne types. She is not actually looking around, but looking around in her head when the eyes go everywhere. the 3 ways she's connecting with people are Ways to connect with people 1. Ne = laughing lots, vibing. Ne doms can do this very easily and especially ENFPs. They can have a great time with everyone, but it might not mean much to them long term. They are like this with everyone. 2. Fi +Si = deep and personal and because it's FI, it has to be deep and vulnerable (rather than Fe cheery happy) and looking for similar experiences (Si+FI) in others as both functions are quite sentimental. Fi types OFTEN bond over negative emotions like that, whereas Fe bond using positive emotions and the things that went good or were joyful. Similarly Se types bond more over good experiences and Si about sharing bad experiences. With Fe clicking you want to avoid to be a emotional drain on peoples, so if anything you avoid the negative stories and Fi types love hearing them. 3 . Sounds like a combination of both as Ne passionately about ideas things and Fi is a quite passionate function too, so the combination make a person quite passionate about stuff, possibly with some Si mixed in there so the subjects do not change all the time but keep a certain degree of stability? She sees something a few times and assume a pattern also sounds more like Ne. Ne is all about quick guessing, whereas Te just judges the facts and pretty much ignores the patterns or anything that is not that objectively visible. With Ni you see a pattern, but usually that takes a while and then the answer comes to you, passively like an answer you didn't know you had a question _or know the question_ . Ne is often more speed related and all actively all into the question they want answers to, just like all extraverted functions are more about quickly doing the thing and being somewhat impatient and settles for something that is not optimal or sure yet (like these quick guesses) because they are more short term functions than long term usually. Even if Te is long term as a whole, each thing they do is basically just a step for them and thus short term until it's good enough and then it's asap to the next step. Don't dwell on stuff too much, waste of time! Don't be too perfectionistic, waste of time! Also, in general based on physical appearance, i'd say she has that typical wide EFP head, with the eyes somewhat further apart rather than close by.
entj male here, an infj and infp friend of mine once told me that I am a random person, could talk anything at length while simultaneously fun, goofy, and serious.
One of my favorite ENTJ/ISFJ sayings (i've heard it from several): "Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing". Two of them have diagnosed Bipolar, which anecdotally speaking seems to be a correlation that I've noticed for the dyad. Makes me wonder if this can give an ENTP impression for some people? Other observations: 2:21 "How do I do it (Se) in a more time efficient (Te) manner such that I have (Se) as much time (Te) as possible (Ni) to do the things (Se) that are worth (Fi) doing (Se)". 2:59 "There is a good enough (Te-Fi) or a vision (Ni) for something and if I don't reach (Te) that vision (Ni), it feels like (Fi) I have to (Ni) put more work into it (Se), even if it makes me late (Te and Se)". 8:58 "I feel like (Fi) this is part of a larger issue (Te) I have (Se) where I feel like (Fi) I can see (Se) something happen (Se) once or twice and assume there's a pattern (Ni) behind it, when like I probably (Ni) don't have (Se) a big enough sample size (Te) to say that (Se)". -- Te hero hubris can tempt one to jump to conclusions without verifying the Ti truth.
Love the humor at the end, circling back to friendship points. 😂 As well as seeing a little self-deprecating humor. I don’t know where I would categorize humor in the click tier system, but it is definitely higher up the list.
Thanks, I kinda forgot what it was like to be a young ENTJ and this helped jog my memory. Wow I've come a long way from sounding like a robot and being more personable.

I'm probably an ENTP, but I don't think I'm naturally likeable. I like to joke around a lot, but I find people find that annoying. I also find people get weird once my Ti shows up. They end up looking at me weirdly or asking if I'm okay. I think most of the time I seem more ENFP or even INFP-like.
I get surprised when someone’s long list of pre-thought-out, line-of-reasoning comes out… like a long continuous stream that cannot be interrupted. 😂 I have named it the Ti-choo choo train. 🚂
@@PowerRedBullTypology I think when I seem emotional to people or express less than popular opinions. My social mask also often has NFP vibes and I've realized that can be unhelpful in a lot of situations. I'd say my NFP mask is the most common, but I also have an ISFJ mask as well.
@@VeggieJohnx2 I guess it sort of is like a choo choo train. I've barely been aware of doing that, but the Ti seems to show up when I'm put under pressure to communicate with people. @@bunnyteeth365 Well if people ask you to explain yourself, they requested it. So I say, say what you gotta say! Even if it might be slightly long winded. I think it’s better than not being able to talk at all. (Sometimes I can’t even articulate anything from my mouth, so I don’t say anything at all. lol) I need to create a Marquee Headband connected to a keyboard, so I can comfortably type my thoughts, rather than speak them out loud.

My guess is, ENTJ males don't need to mask for 'friendship points'. And I know INFJ females can really go for ENTJ males.
