this worked for me--- i have been to the junk yard and all the VIC's are broken... then I found this video. thanks. i did this for my 1993 and 1996 zj... YOU GET A HUGE MAN KISS! !!!!
Thank you, man! I knew these solder joints were the problem from different forums but I wanted to have a peek inside before ripping it all apart to do this fix myself. So yeah, thanks for showing!
I was told it is not a genuine eagle engine. But an european one. Probably Italian from FIAT or Alfa Romeo. One thing is sure. Those engines either work or they don’t. I was lucky. But I also took great care about the car.
@@hxlize4913 idk man. I had to sell the car this year. It was a hard decision and I still miss it. My advice is. If you live in US buy US cars. Parts are difficult to find and mechanics as well to maintain them. At one point I had to ask my cousin to bring me spares from NY when he traveled to see us in the summer. This is no way to enjoy a car.
Realmente no sé cómo encontrar el número de transistores, aunque no le presté mucha atención a esa parte. En caso de que tenga nuevamente la oportunidad de abrir el VIC, le enviaré una imagen o un número eventual de este transistor.
Hi. Please, I have a broken VIC display from a 1995 Jeep Cherokee. I'm trying to fix it. I found 1 transistor fired. Can't you tell me what type of transistor is? What is written on it? Pictured in a red circle ibb.co/dtVCVDF
It really says so on official papers for EU imports, those '90 commercials... I hope it helps, otherwise the board might need to be rechecked by an electronics professional.
I just did this today. Seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!
I followed the instructions and I could fix the coolant sensor alarm, after many failed attempts. A huge thank you.

Glad to hear that. It really is a thing that makes the Cherokee a little more lovely, sadly it's not meant to last forever :-D
I have the same problem. I will have to try this. Thanks for the tip.
Turbo diesel!?!? Why don’t we get the cool stuff over here?

Hello i have a dead componend on mine but can't see the reference do you still have your display board to help me ??
Thanks
Sadly no. Check first for any blown / cracked transistors. I had it given to a local tv repair shop to fix it for me since I have not much knowledge.
@@TheLogitech05 it is cracked in different pieces and the name of the transistor is on one of them 😅
@@TheLogitech05 anyway thank for your fast response

You talk really soft.
Reason 1: English isn't my native language, so it makes sense if I misspell a word :-D
Reason 2: Video was taken with a cell phone.
