    • @brianmccarthy5557
      @brianmccarthy5557 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is mandated by Federal law to keep track of the resources it manages, including relatively rare animals. They count the bighorn sheep to determine how many hunting licenses they can safely issue. It's much easier, safer and more accurate to count the sheep from the air in this rugged terrain, though there is a rough road not that far away. The road is how the metal was brought in, unless a helicopter was used to prevent damage to the metal, and the road was used to haul the debris away in a truck. It would take all season on horseback and foot to scout the area and you'd still be guessing. This is incredibly rugged and dangerous even if you know the area and how to handle yourself. My guess is that you've never been near country like this.
