- If popping a pill could make you smarter and increase your memory would you take it? In this cinematic POV documentary, Nik Badminton travels to Silicon Valley and immerses himself in the real world of bio-hacking and smart drugs as depicted by Hollywood films like Lucy and Limitless. As Nik tries drugs and treatments recommended by people in the business of self-optimization, he begins to question the bio-hacking movement and asks: are we losing sight of what makes us human?

Self experimentation with "smart" drugs can lead to mental and emotional imbalance. It's not worth it. Everything we need is in food sources.
There will always be someone ready to sell us a "magic pill"
So i guess at 8 minutes into this film..the guy gulping down all the pills felt it would be tacky to ask to see a full print of the ingredients and side effects ?...oh yeah and than he will tell us what to think of the meds rather than telling us whats in this stuff....great reporting...ive learned so much
Wow! Now we need something for those of us that have chronic pain! 🙏🏻
At what cost ? What about side effects? Will I have brain damage after this thing wears off?
Should have taken b4 tatoos
Modafinil is the safest nootropic and has changed my life and manages my ADHD like nothing else.
I feel stupiderer
"smarterer" just say smarter😂
That was really uninformative. It takes the whole show for the guy to realize he has to give his system a break. Doesn’t measure any results or provide any real feedback or proof whether they work or dont i am disappointed in myself for taking time out of my busy schedule to give this a watch.
… as a German Biologist -
I have found that taking nootropics is a sign that we feel insecure about the challenges that lay ahead. We feel that we can't handle the workloads that we set out for ourselves so we design a system to give ourselves some sort of confidence. Unfortunately this is not the best way to handle that insecurity. The better way is to develop a good diet, a strong routine based on circadian rhythm, and perhaps just take some natural supplements that are known to be good for brain health. Because ultimately these things that amp you up, will contribute to a harder burnout. I've tried it all, and took a lot of modafinil when I found myself traveling a lot for work. I felt like a zombie, and I believe this is because it was constantly working in my system to rob my sleep. At any rate, one night I decided to put those and some other pills in a protein shake filled with isopropyl alcohol. To sum up this rant, all I can say is that a sustainable route to who you want to be is best, and that if you look deep enough, life is not all about how much work you can get done.
They might make you smarter
Omg. When he started doing the push-ups. 😂 He was electrified!
FDA “generally regarded as safe” is incorrect. GRAS is designated by the manufacturer, not the FDA. And, what they (the makers of this stuff) regard as “safe” may not fit our definitions.
This was a super interesting show!

Excellent documentary, gives the proponents a fair chance, shows us the nitty gritty and concludes realistically at the end.
That curved keyboard is so cool! His fingers were flying!
U can't fix stupid with a pill I know
