    This video is outstanding on many levels: shed concept, creative use of common materials to make corrugated metal, clarity of instruction, and excellence of video/graphics production. Could not have been better..

    This is simply amazing! As an architect student who enjoys and always looks for new methods and techniques for my model making projects, this is exactly how I'll be making my future corrugated iron metal sheet roofs : ) Thank you so much for your great content here in TH-cam! Cheers from Darwin : )

    • @BoulderCreekRailroad
      @BoulderCreekRailroad  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Vinny, not sure if the matchsticks would work for N scale, but I'm sure you could make use of the foil technique to make some corrugated iron? I did a tutorial about matchstick fences for N scale but it was alot of hard work for a relatively small result. Here is a link if you interested: www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=15129.0

      Cool, I'm glad I've inspired you to give it a try. It's much easier than it looks... the hardest part is rolling the spring across the foil, I had about 4 go's at it before I got it right! But even if you don't get it the first time its no big loss! The materials are cheap. I look forward to hearing how you go.

    • @BoulderCreekRailroad
      @BoulderCreekRailroad  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      North Central Lines On30 Not in the video, I do suggest spraying the building though. I find if I spray it with dull coat I need about 2 or three applications of pastels. So far, as long as I don't touch the building too much I find the pastels stick quite well even without sealing them with a spray.
