That little stretch of the 101 would be best for that top speed push. Ive never gotten mine much over 70, but Im almost 300lbs. I have a 1990 CH250 out in Gilbert. Nice ride!
And take the carb off, it's easy. Then take off bottom or bowl of the carb and spray it with Barrymans carb cleaner. If you can after it soaks with cleaner, remove and make sure the jets are clean. But order another bowl gasket before you do it.
Try the little things first. Make sure your gas is fresh, air filter is clean, tires inflated properly, a clean/new spark plug never hurt. If your belt and clutch is in good order should be able to do it on a flat road near sea level. Don't forget to TUCK DOWN as low as you can.
@@MartinTapperMedia Oh really? I haven't actually rode either scooters but I want to. I just assumed that the Helix had a lower seat height and longer wheelbase by its appearance. I haven't found a video or pics of the 2 brother scoots side-by-side yet. I figured it was the same Honda 250cc engine. The Elite looks like it's more of an upright seating position.
Pushing it to the limit
One great scooter built by Honda It has a Kenwood radio!

Haha thanks man I plan on doing a update video soon!
I've had a helix for years.. But I want a Elite 250 parked right next to it in the garage! Super hard to find here in the midwest.
I just bought one on the west coast for $300 on the side of the road
My son just bought a 85 Elite for $1000 and I got 92 Helix for $1200 from the same owner in St. Louis, Mo.
I love them n bullet proof, I got two n will keep them for a long time
How stable does it feel at 80?
There's something oddly cool about an old Helix. I imagine it make you feel like Luke Skywalker on a mission.
Every time you crank that throttle
Hello did you modify the scooter in any way I can get 70 out of mine but I haven't stretched it out like you have ?????
No it’s stock but you probably need a fresh drive belt and good tire pressure

I've done about 73/74 on GPS with a stocker.
I go 77 on mine
Is it stock? I have an '85 and I've barely got it to 73 with or without the windscreen.

I'll never sell my 1985 250 Elite/Kenwood
I found the original radio on ebay! Plugged right in!
You can download a Vedio old freeway vs new freeway?
Umm yes?
Honda Elite 250 vs Honda Helix 250...Simper but different. Both Spacy.
Same motor speed and comfort, didn't styling, I have to say the helix looks better
