When he couldn't get it up to his standards he kept apologizing to the other members to the point he was saying "sorry" in his sleep. But Jimin helped to evolve the style of BTS and influence KPop style in an amazing way. To see the joy it brings him to contribute to the group and individually through dance is so heartwarming. And let's not forget that voice he worked so hard on as well. Being late to the group he didn't get the same training as the others. So he sat in on their training. And he hasn't stopped trying to improve... eventually going back to the basics and relearning things. He said that he did practice so much at the beginning but it would have been better if he had learned it the right way the first time and practice would have been better. This epitomizes the saying that it's not practice that makes perfect. It's perfect practice that makes perfect. Not that you MUST be perfect in practice but you need to practice the right way to get the best results. Practicing it wrong just makes it harder to then do it right.
@saralovesbts7 Thanks. I recently did a short reel on him, so it was fresh in my mind at the time. I did video editing a lot in the past... and wanted to refresh my skills and learn some new software, so I started doing some on the BTS members. Jimin was my first, so it's not great as far as editing goes, but it's had almost 25k views on Facebook, which I guess isn't bad for starting from scratch in the community. I've been ARMY since 2014, so I know them fairly well.. so it makes it easier to do videos and practice. I also have a copy of it posted on my TH-cam channel if you want to look. I'm just storing them here to keep copies. I mainly use my TH-cam just for personal stuff and things for the classes I teach. If I continue, I may make a separate channel for BTS on YT. For now I'm just doing it for fun and practice.
Fyi......Jimin not only excelled in contemporary dance but even before he joined Bigshit, he excelled in hip hop, where he won all his competitions in Hip hop. It's become really disgusting how people have bought into the bull that Jimin didn't know hip-hop before he came to this company that has treated him like sh#t!

But once he was at Busan HS for the arts... they didn't have anything like hip-hop or other street dance. But he excelled in everything they did have. The difficulty wasn't that he didn't know anything about hip-hop. It was that his thousands of hours of training were in contemporary, modern, and ballet... all of which require very fluid movements. The over performance style of hip-hop choreo thar was wanted for BTS was sharper and more controlled with more stops, holds, and quickness. I won't say he had a pleasant time at BigHit... especially those first 6 months... but the training staff wasn't evil to him. In fact, it was partially the training staff that stood up for him. They talked about how his dance style was too soft and fluid for what they wanted (initially) for BTS. They wanted what you see in No More Dream and Fire. So Jimin worked inhumanely hard outside of group practices to try and adapt to that style. If you know anything about dance or sports... it basically means using your muscles in a very different way. The brain/muscle wiring is just different. I teach Anatomy & Physiology to medical pre-professionals... including those who want to become athletic trainers and even some athletes and dancers, so we talk about this a lot. It is just too much for a 90-second reel. But to simplify it... and golfers, swimmers, baseball players, etc. may relate to this. If you have a golf or bat swing... or a stroke... that you have used for years... it becomes muscle memory, and you do it without thinking. But even Olympic level athletes sometimes need to adjust that movement to be better. Changing your swing at first is very awkward, and athletes at first have terrible results... performing worse than they did before. But as they do the new style long enough for it too, to become second nature, it improves, and they then surpass where they were before. Or imagine being a master painter but suddenly you are required to paint with the opposite hand. At first your paintings won't be at the same level as before. That is kind of like what happened with Jimin. At first, the staff didn't think Jimin... or anyone could change fast enough or at all to be with BTS who had already been in the works for over 3 years and was nearing debut. But as we know... Jimin would stay and practice after group practice.. often until 4:30am. Then he'd sleep on a matt in the practice room so others weren't fully aware of how much he was practicing at first. He would sleep about 2 hours... practice more... and then go to school... come back and do it all over again. He even did it on their rest day. The staff didn't make him do that. Jimin did that on his own. It greatly surprised the staff that he would make such rapid improvements from one group practice to the next. It was that unexpected rapid improvement that led the training staff to back up RM & Suga's insistence that the group needed Jimin. RM & Suga saw Jimin as the difference BTS needed. By then, Suga had recognized Jimin's unique vocal tone and wanted that. But being trainees, it wouldn't be their call. PD Bang needed desperately to get BTS to debut soon, or all was lost... and he and others doubted Jimin could be ready in time. But the training staff explained how rapidly he was improving. So PD Bang trusted RM, Suga, and his staff and kept Jimin. None of this is an insult to Jimin's talent at all. IT is the opposite! It is a testament to his immense work ethic and determination to not give up. Once part of BTS as time went on... Jimin's contemporary dance influence began to emerge in the choreography... which made BTS even more unique and appealing. He is largely responsible for a shift in styles among many idol groups. Add to that his visuals... and how he uses his face while dancing (something he also learned while at the arts school)... and Jimin emerged as one that caught people's attention and provided those killing moments... Jimina wins Best Dancer & King Of Kpop every year👑💜 he had won those for 4 years straight (& he's just won again) whereas Hobi unfortunately has never won those Titles, bc although Hobi is literally World Class & is just brilliant; he cannot do all styles as JM can (most dancers just cannot do hip hop AND ballet/contemporaryeven if they're top in one or the other⭐️💜 - the 2 disciplines are such polar opposites - & even Hobi cannot do both - & just cannot do, what JM does; the range of styles JM can do (brilliantly) is unprecedented - & Hobi says he learns just from watching JM - which is such an amazing thing for somebody of Hobi's massive talents, to say - but he means it. Unfortunately, some of the Hobi solo stans🙄🙄 get a bit unnecessary like this - they should understand that Hobi-hyung himself says JM is the v best, & everybody in the Industry in both the Korean, UK & U.S industries says so! I always felt like he has the best sense of changing up choreo a bit every performance because he wants to give something new every time, and thought he focuses mostly on his work, but he gives suggestions for better styles, safety, positions, etc. To me, Jhopes is big-picture oriented, and Jimin is detail-oriented. Jhopes and Jimin make BTS top tier performers
Yes! Jimin has a super power indeed ! Some people amazing dancers but not so great at breaking movements down to level easily understood by anyone!! Jimin is next level dancer and teacher - trust me - very rare talent & shout out to Hobi💜
Jiminie and Jhope is a the best team BTS have to assist them on Dance..because they are born as dancer. Its on their blood naturaly. Both have their own style but they always completed each other. More important is that Jimin always willingly to help the members. He is such an angel.

And like any great, extraordinary, fantastic artist, the thing that he transmits and that stands out the most from him is modesty.I also discovered that he has an interesting,beautiful voice. "House of Cards", "Run BTS" and all the others songs.I like his voice, but I love the way he dances.He is truly an artist who can inspire the youngest. And he is only almost 27 years old.He is very young.I said that before. The Kpop scene is too small for him. And this starting with 2016.Jimin should be known to all who love music and dance.But sometimes a smaller scene is better than a bigger stage. The art world is full of dangers. Maybe it's better for him to stay, to be an artist on a smaller stage.I know that Jimin is quite strong mentally. I feel awful.. Because all this time I always though jimin just sang and danced.. Extreamly well.. Of cause. But I never thought he actually had much to do with the creation of the music or dance choreography and I'm coming across videos like this actually showing me just how responsible and involved he is in creating dance moves, and making the music they produce.. I just though everyone else did all that and he just sang them or did whatever dance they were thought to do.. This is a welcomed video for me.. Jimin is my bias so I adored him no matter what.. Don't feel bad, a lot of fans even though they bias Jimin don't know these things, that's why i'm making these videos on youtube and on tiktok! I was in similar situation when i first joined the fandom, i didn't really fully grasp Jimin's impact and talent even tho i joined the fandom because of him, thankfully i quickly found more and more jimin fan bases and fan accs that were spreading the right info and got educationated about everything there is to know about Jimin, now i’m doing my part in spreading the right information about his great skills even further! 😊💙

People who are well versed in choreography are well aware that Jimin has no equal. Jimin is versatile, which makes him equally strong in hip hop and contemporary. You need to understand that these are so different styles that it is unrealistically difficult for one person. If you are a brilliant hip-hop dancer, then it will be just as difficult for you to be contemporary and, accordingly, vice versa. And Jimin is unique, he can do both, and absolutely amazing! There are very few like Jimin in the world...

I always felt like he has the best sense of changing up choreo a bit every performance because he wants to give something new every time, and thought he focuses mostly on his work, but he gives suggestions for better styles, safety, positions, etc. To me, Jhopes is big-picture oriented, and Jimin is detail-oriented. Jhopes and Jimin make BTS top tier performers

And like any great, extraordinary, fantastic artist, the thing that he transmits and that stands out the most from him is modesty.I also discovered that he has an interesting,beautiful voice. "House of Cards", "Run BTS" and all the others songs.I like his voice, but I love the way he dances.He is truly an artist who can inspire the youngest. And he is only almost 27 years old.He is very young.I said that before. The Kpop scene is too small for him. And this starting with 2016.Jimin should be known to all who love music and dance.But sometimes a smaller scene is better than a bigger stage. The art world is full of dangers. Maybe it's better for him to stay, to be an artist on a smaller stage.I know that Jimin is quite strong mentally. He had his problems at an early age.He managed to get out of all the problems he had.I hope there is someone next to him who really loves him and takes care of him.Next to an artist as great as Jimin, and I'm not exaggerating at all, there has to be someone to take care of him.It is a real joy to hear his voice and see him dancing.When Jimin dances, I look at him exactly as Jung Kook looks at Jimin. I feel awful.. Because all this time I always though jimin just sang and danced.. Extreamly well.. Of cause. But I never thought he actually had much to do with the creation of the music or dance choreography and I'm coming across videos like this actually showing me just how responsible and involved he is in creating dance moves, and making the music they produce.. I just though everyone else did all that and he just sang them or did whatever dance they were thought to do.. This is a welcomed video for me.. Jimin is my bias so I adored him no matter what.. But to find things like this teaching me more about his involvement in everything has built my admiration and appreciation for him even more.. He's even more gifted than I thought👌👏👏🔥🔥😍😍💝💕💕💪😇

I was in similar situation when i first joined the fandom, i didn't really fully grasp Jimin's impact and talent even tho i joined the fandom because of him, thankfully i quickly found more and more jimin fan bases and fan accs that were spreading the right info and got educationated about everything there is to know about Jimin, now i’m doing my part in spreading the right information about his great skills even further! 😊💙
