Also a typo on lvl 3 module taking 4DP not 4 SP Also, another thing that I think is important right now is the fact that alternate gamemodes have become the endgame, with the unique mechanics and gameplay loop of each one ending up placing certain ops in the spotlight (IE: Irene in SSS with SP/Sec stacking, Passenger with certain relics in IS2/3, AoE guards and flexible ops in the latest CN gamemode, the like). Hypergryph is def tired of CC as they have previously said (CC12 being the last one for a while, allegedly) and the last 9 months have showcased that starting with Stiltufera Navis featuring hard stages that reward experimentation and analysis by the player. Sure the meta will find a way, but I do think that at the current pace of new gamemodes and events with a lot of unique mechanics might be worth the discussion and production of content around how certain operators that are held back by flaws, end up becoming really fucking powerful with certain operator combos, module interactions, stage mechanics or gamemode fuckery (Like Dusk with SP charging through her summons). Also, I'm hoping for colabs with other Arknights based youtubers so that we may end up having a "Skit-verse"
I def need to catch up on CN regarding the new gamemode and high high risk CC (Life is a ride that never ends) but apart of the absolute inmovables like flagpipe or Arts>Phys, mostly. I believe shit has shifted and changed in the past year both on high endgame and moderate endgame due to different mechanics. CN as a whole looks like a house of mirrors that is being broken by the minute with all the times any guesses I made regarding strats and trends have been shattered (I've never imagined custom stages would drop in an event with already an insane ammount of content) I do feel that there has been a meta rotation considering how we have gotten so many powerhouses while also getting units capable of certain support niches that end up overlapping in certain ways. What I think will be more important later on will be how much off meta will stand against meta And regarding the next gamemode, I think it is safe to say it will be a mix of both although I think it will either be: Revitalization of CC (Larger maps, map scrolling, maybe even customizable risks) An entire different thing, featuring both debuffs and buffs But def nightmare shit enforcing Pot6 will be a thing. I think right now we are reaching peak Arknights design regarding modes and I hope it doesn't die down, the ammount of gamemodes in the past year tho has been growing hardcore fast and considering how the majority so fast have been "Serialized" and improved upon bit by bit while testing the waters. The one thing for sure: Base won't leave BETA until Endfield releases (I'll have grandchildren by then)
Some corrections Horn is the second fortress defender, the first is Ashlock Młynar is apparently pronounced "Mwynar" but don't quote me on that that's just what I learned from others Saileach's first talent is always active, when off-skill (assuming s2/3 is equipped) she has the banner with her all the time, so all allies and enemies in her surrounding 8 tiles get their respective effect Also I have to disagree on your assessment of Saileach's S3, it's a 20sp skill that gives 10dp, deals 300% damage and 3.5 seconds stun, inflicts -80% movement speed and 30% weakening (increases damage taken by the enemy) for 10 seconds, so it's a cheap and spamable source of crowd control, slow and damage amplification, so while she (and Elysium for that matter) can't beat the queen Myrtle at dp generation, S3 still brings a lot of utility to the table, at least that's my opinion on the skill, I'm not here to fight or anything lol

The situation where that difference in initial SP matters is specific to that stage where existed an SP tag. Lastly, there are two ways to define "efficiency" when it comes to Flagbearers and if it is in the way of role compression, Saileach and Elysium ties with the former being more general and the latter Sniper-specific while Myrtle is only useful for Vanguardknights with her healing. I saw the sheer unrivaled broken potential of Chen the holungday and she became my first E2 level 90 skill 3 M3 unit on my account. I’ve also been playing almost since launch.
My friend always brags that Gnosis makes most max risk daily CCs very trivial because of his freeze mechanic, makes me regret that I didn't pull for him.
You mentioned module for Exui. I still can't believe the dev didn't make Ash module trigger her Sp gain every time she is deployed rather than buff the already high sp gain and super cheap dp
A couple I think were missed and maybe are better than some on this list: Passenger has gotten a real change up post modules and now has serious power in a number of game modes like IS and SSS. He's got good aoe damage along with some serious burst nuking. Nearl the Radiant Knight has a lot of strong utility. She can do true damage and boss/elite nuke with S3 or both break deploy limit and be a powerful helidrop stat stick duelist with S2. Both are seriously powerful and used often in hard content. Irene is a hugely powerful boss/mob nuker. Her ability to aoe and totally ignore defense means she can dish out huge damage against any enemy/cluster of enemies (nothing is immune to levitate). She scales well with buffs too. Basically a ground version of exu or Chen where with good buff stacks she will melt anything. Unlike those two her inherent def ignore makes her not walled by high def foes. Specter the Unchained is also worth some mention. Her damage is a tad underwhelming, but her invincibility and then transition into a hard to kill aoe melter is great and serves a number of unique purposes. She also pairs with the other fish team members to roid each other out like crazy. Pozemka is also a much stronger boss nuker sniper than like Exu in most scenarios. Her damage output when she and her typewriter can hit the same target is ludicrous. You might argue Poze needing a tile for her typewriter is a downside, but Exu needs to be hugged by like 3 buffers to do anything to bosses usually so she needs just as much tower real estate. I know you mention her at the end, but it's weird to not see her in a list when Gavial is here. Like, is Lee that important to talk about over one of the strongest tower nukers in the game?

I regret not getting Horn(mostly because of how hot she is), but her banner was in not a good place for me. I did a couple rolls on Standard to get Siege, then saving a lot for SN’ Banner for Irene and Spalter Super happy with Irene and Gavialter though. They’re great. A defender that not really defender 8.Skalter: *6 Sora 9.Chalter: Best Physical Damager (4K/shot). Broken 10.Ling: Summon that didn't need any brain. Powerful 11.Galter: Landholder that can't heal herself. Powerful than Blaze, but have to Babysit.

Doesn't the new vanguard still need enemies to hit, making it really dependent on map and enemy, whereas Myrtle and Elysium just do whatever as long as they stay away from the enemy? Anyways, I would have just forgetten Saileach if I had her and just added Cantabile to the Flagpipe trio to make *Lee gaming* in the Invitation to Wine Annihilation come true (as well as instant Cantabile S2 cuz Bag talent).
yes it is map dependent, but the new vanguard dp output is very good. My point is that while I agree that saileach doesn't output as much dp as the other flagbearers her 3rd skill is a great cycle for crowd control and helps alleviate tension especially in sss. to put it simply, use myrtle elysium if you want fast dp. use saileach if you want a pseudo debuffer.

Welcome back. So good to see another video from you! I agree with most of the operators, but i think you missed an imporant one. NTR-Knight. Both S2 and S3 are with M3`ing as the S2 makes her an insanely strong helidrop unit like Surtr though without taking up a deployment slot and S3 for deal heavy true damage and blocking big enemies. Saileach S3 is cracked tho, DP regen and... 30% fragile with 20 sp cycle AND slow. Got her with the selector since i didn't know who to get and she's going all out on my teams
Even if Ling is super good, and is my first maxed out operator as I'm still relatively new, I think she's not as brain dead OP as Chalter. At least you need to utilize her properly. Her dragons can't be healed (Except with like Hibiscus or Skalter as far as I know) and she takes deployment slot by filling the field with dragons. OP for sure, but she feels satisfying to use, whereas Chalter is REALLY brain dead. Tbh, I don't think I would even like getting Chalter, as she trivializes almost everything, and I think Arknights is more fun when you need to think a bit. I won't lie, sometimes I like being able to turn brain off, borrow a maxed out chalter and get an easy clear, but having permanent access to that seems a bit too much
I don't really care if Gavialter is not meta. She's just too cool to be in it. And she's extremely fun to play Love her design and gameplay. Just pulled Mlynar, so I can make my Gavial even better
Now Mlynar is here, he powercrept all the burst DPS operator including Chalter. On top of that Mlynar only cost 11 DP, while Chalter cost 32. Mlynar has higher overall DPS, wider AoE range and some true damage.

Heheh, I got both of the girls from the water park. I'm so happy, it only took me 30 pulls. I knew max trusting Gavial before the banner would pay off.
As a new player (2 months in) while I'm happy that I got Pozemka and Chalter, I was a bit dissapointed at not getting Gav Alter as she's one of my favorite healers. But glad to know I struck gold with my other pulls and choices. Side note, does Specter Alter come back soon? Specter is my favorite Guard and I want to get her Alter because the Abyss Hunters are my section favorite faction next to the Nearl Family
She won't be coming back in at least 6 months, probably more like 8 but who knows, maybe there'll be a limited banner right after CNY for her, and if you wanna get her save for 300 pulls, otherwise the chance is very low since limited banners don't get reruns, and if you get one of the non featured limited units the chance of it being her is like a 1/4 or so
So I have a pot 6 Ling, Mod 1. Yeah she very op to the point where she boring. Especially S3. I already gave myself a condition so I don't get bored. I only use Ling Skill 3 in IS mode, CC or when I literally can't do a level.
tbh, i have used more Gavial and she has been a game changer, i cant say the same about pozyomka, she has been sitting there, sometimes using her to kill something, but eyja usually kills faster so yeah, i would say Gavial is just more impactful than pozyomka

Unlike those two her inherent def ignore makes her not walled by high def foes.
Specter the Unchained is also worth some mention. Her damage is a tad underwhelming, but her invincibility and then transition into a hard to kill aoe melter is great and serves a number of unique purposes. She also pairs with the other fish team members to roid each other out like crazy.
Pozemka is also a much stronger boss nuker sniper than like Exu in most scenarios. Her damage output when she and her typewriter can hit the same target is ludicrous. You might argue Poze needing a tile for her typewriter is a downside, but Exu needs to be hugged by like 3 buffers to do anything to bosses usually so she needs just as much tower real estate. I know you mention her at the end, but it's weird to not see her in a list when Gavial is here. Like, is Lee that important to talk about over one of the strongest tower nukers in the game?

I regret not getting Horn(mostly because of how hot she is), but her banner was in not a good place for me. I did a couple rolls on Standard to get Siege, then saving a lot for SN’ Banner for Irene and Spalter

Doesn't the new vanguard still need enemies to hit, making it really dependent on map and enemy, whereas Myrtle and Elysium just do whatever as long as they stay away from the enemy?
Anyways, I would have just forgetten Saileach if I had her and just added Cantabile to the Flagpipe trio to make *Lee gaming* in the Invitation to Wine Annihilation come true (as well as instant Cantabile S2 cuz Bag talent).
yes it is map dependent, but the new vanguard dp output is very good.
My point is that while I agree that saileach doesn't output as much dp as the other flagbearers her 3rd skill is a great cycle for crowd control and helps alleviate tension especially in sss.
to put it simply, use myrtle elysium if you want fast dp. use saileach if you want a pseudo debuffer.

Both S2 and S3 are with M3`ing as the S2 makes her an insanely strong helidrop unit like Surtr though without taking up a deployment slot and S3 for deal heavy true damage and blocking big enemies.

Even if Ling is super good, and is my first maxed out operator as I'm still relatively new, I think she's not as brain dead OP as Chalter.
At least you need to utilize her properly. Her dragons can't be healed (Except with like Hibiscus or Skalter as far as I know) and she takes deployment slot by filling the field with dragons. OP for sure, but she feels satisfying to use, whereas Chalter is REALLY brain dead. Tbh, I don't think I would even like getting Chalter, as she trivializes almost everything, and I think Arknights is more fun when you need to think a bit. I won't lie, sometimes I like being able to turn brain off, borrow a maxed out chalter and get an easy clear, but having permanent access to that seems a bit too much
I wonder how more broken Chalter can become if she gets a module

Now Mlynar is here, he powercrept all the burst DPS operator including Chalter. On top of that Mlynar only cost 11 DP, while Chalter cost 32. Mlynar has higher overall DPS, wider AoE range and some true damage.

As a new player (2 months in) while I'm happy that I got Pozemka and Chalter, I was a bit dissapointed at not getting Gav Alter as she's one of my favorite healers. But glad to know I struck gold with my other pulls and choices.
Side note, does Specter Alter come back soon? Specter is my favorite Guard and I want to get her Alter because the Abyss Hunters are my section favorite faction next to the Nearl Family
She won't be coming back in at least 6 months, probably more like 8 but who knows, maybe there'll be a limited banner right after CNY for her, and if you wanna get her save for 300 pulls, otherwise the chance is very low since limited banners don't get reruns, and if you get one of the non featured limited units the chance of it being her is like a 1/4 or so

tbh, i have used more Gavial and she has been a game changer, i cant say the same about pozyomka, she has been sitting there, sometimes using her to kill something, but eyja usually kills faster so yeah, i would say Gavial is just more impactful than pozyomka
