Watching your channel in lockdown and when hungry probably wasn't my brightest idea......I am now hungry and want to go travelling 🤣 However.... I am also very inspired so thank you!
My Dad was from Hamburg. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. We still have family that we visit in Hamburg. We love Hamburg. Very clean city and lots to see and do.
Hey Heidi, I’m so happy that this video has shared some fantastic memories & that you have enjoyed it. Thank you for commenting & stay tuned as more Hamburg videos are to follow 😁
Of course, the first thing to do when going to Hamburg is, to eat a traditional German Hamburger, followed by some Japanese food and finishing with some Californian hipster chow! Really helps to experience the traditional local culture through food.
Hey Axel, thank you so much for taking the time to view my video & respond. I was pleased with having enough time to do both actually - enjoy some amazing traditional German cuisines & explore the ever developing street food segment too. I’d really appreciate your feedback on both as I have a couple videos up now. I have a traditional food video being posted next week & welcome your thoughts.
The video brings back memories, We went to the street food market last year and it was fun. It's great you managed to visit this place in between all the lockdown etc. That sushi looks awesome too :)
Hey, thanks for taking the time to watch my video, it really does mean the world to me. I was so fortunate in having this opportunity in between what was happening in the world. That sushi was was indeed awesome ! I will never forget that cheesecake lol !
Man these rice sandwiches look delicious. Really need to test Sando & Ichi, as it is only 5-8 minutes from Hamburg Central Station. And afterwards, pay a visit to my favorite ice cream parlour "Luicella's" just 2 bus stops down the road. But did you also try the local delicacy "Labskaus"? It is a mix of mashed potatoes, minced beef (or corned beef), pickels and red beet juice, served with a fried egg and sometimes with a pickled hering. To be honest, the texture and colour of Labskaus is reminiscent of puke but it is delicious as hell.
Hey Marius, thank you for watching my video & taking the time to comment. I’m putting Luicella’s on my ‘to visit’ list - a great suggestion 😁 ! I did in fact enjoy ‘Labskaus’ in Hamburg, I was thrilled & very fortunate to dine at the ‘Old Commercial Room’ on that occasion. Stay tuned as that video will be posted soon & your so right 😂 !
Hey Jutta, thank you for taking the time to watch my video & comment your thoughts. Im sure you can appreciate that there are so many street food vendors, of which have fantastic un bias customer provided ratings through third party companies. Some of these just couldn’t be ignored from our reviews to either validate or discredit. With this said, I truly thank you for your comments & ask that you continue to share your feedback 😃

This video brings back memories from my trip in 2018 :/ love this city ❤
Hey, that’s fantastic ! I have to ask, do you have any recommendations on places to visit also ?
You didn't try any street food. You tried normal restaurant foods except the Currywurst.
