I've been listening to Jason Isbell for about 3 days now and he is the best songwriter I have ever heard, his lyrics just grab ahold of you because the truth and pain in them. This interviewer is great btw so many times I watch some of my favorite artists get interviewed by idiots that do no research and have no skill on how to follow up. Good Job Kyle!
holy damn! great interview/interviewer! ive enjoyed isbells tunes since the dbt days. Southeastern was my favorite album of last year, but i dont think I've loved him as an artist as I have now that i heard him throw out a Denis Johnson reference.
Jason is a very talented artist There's a truth and intelligence to his music, and it's just plain fantastic. All great albums and doesn't need drink to write fantastic songs
