I think the only thing I like more than this video is going through the comments and realizing how many people exist that like this. Its weird to think that there is a communitu around this type of music bc its so outcasted. I dont know if Im wording it right, i just think its awesome that people love all these bands that I do
Hello! Merchant Ships was my favorite band. I really appreciate that you did a video of this. This band means a lot to some of us because of their breakup.
Yay, you got to react to it! You should check out the written lyrics if you couldn't hear some parts of it. It's mostly about.. dealing with feelings towards death. It's definitely spoken word, and they're actually an emo band but this piece is quite different from their other songs. Thanks, you should check out Midwest Pen Pals - Movies Like Juno like another person suggested here :)
I hope to listen to these other things! I enjoy spoken word and I could feel and hear that thread inside of the piece- and that had me hooked through the entire thing. It takes something special to do that for me!
I dont know if you do request videos but i would love to see you react and your thoughts on Pink Skies by zack bryan or The view between villages extended version! I loved your thoughts on this song! it really is spoken poetry disguised as a song!
Had a bad night at work, It was nice coming home and watching one of your reactions. Oh, and please react to Nightwish "Ghost Love Score" live in Buenos Aires.
"On and on we run away from the things we are afraid of" The dead women & ambulance, 9/11 recount, and the car crash dream. It's a song about the uncertainty of life and our (natural) existential fear of death. And how, even with that uncertainty, maybe even because of it, life is worth living. Corresponding with the uplifting instrumentals at the end of the song: "But today in the warm light of the sunset, I don't see it. I just see the sunset. I smile back and shake my head. I have absolutely no idea. I am afraid. " A close group of friends, a warm sunset, and smiles. Thinking, even if we're afraid, maybe it's not so bad after all... I actually don't think this is 100% as sad of a song as people make it out to be a reply I got on reddit sometime ago. hope this helps.
That there is no god. That we base our lives on fear of death. once we hit that point in our life where we lose someone and we hope there's more to that person's life after death. Come to accept death as beauty and learn to cope with everything. Cause life is random so don't make plans. Fall in love in the back of a van. Just ignore everything I just said I have no clue what the fucking song is about
I do one reaction daily- that's the way I've done it this past year. I was simply making too many videos AND I don't get paid for reactions- not a penny. And I am DYING from lack of cash- I'm always on the edge of being homeless. I can't AFFORD to make videos for free- so I do one reaction daily as my free video for everyone.
“I’m going to talk over the song” Me: “No you won’t! You better not!” I also want to inform people who don’t know, this is emo.... Metal or screamo or whatever is NOT emo. If you look up miswestern emo or math rock, then you will see what it actually means!
@@TakeThePillsOfficial Actually screamo is a combination of early emo emo and hardcore punk. This is basic knowledge. Emo isn't really influenced by metal much either.
@@kailwade7666 That's fair. I kinda screwed up with my use of screamo I was banking more so on the hardcore side of things as in hardcore punk. My original point was just that math rock or midwest emo aren't the original versions of emo and that it was originally a lot more agressive and hardcore-ish than the commenter thought. (also yes i am aware of the emo meme obout actually emo is blah blah blah and yes i see the irony here).

Yeah but does anyone know what the true meaning of the song is?
I wish I knew too
"On and on we run away from the things we are afraid of"
The dead women & ambulance, 9/11 recount, and the car crash dream. It's a song about the uncertainty of life and our (natural) existential fear of death. And how, even with that uncertainty, maybe even because of it, life is worth living.
Corresponding with the uplifting instrumentals at the end of the song:
"But today in the warm light of the sunset, I don't see it. I just see the sunset. I smile back and shake my head. I have absolutely no idea. I am afraid.
"
A close group of friends, a warm sunset, and smiles. Thinking, even if we're afraid, maybe it's not so bad after all... I actually don't think this is 100% as sad of a song as people make it out to be
