That was a great explanation of the complete scheme, I did not realise the platform was adjusted to give the higher speeds. I have used Microstation for mobile base transmission stations.

It looks like they've cut off a few metres of the Southern end of Carstairs Station to facilitate the higher speed crossover.

@@markcf83 Since the class 390s are no longer routed through the station, that is of no importance now.
