    Defa Lucy definitely trying something new. I remember back in the day they only have boring blonde Barbie like chicks.
    This new line is amazing. I hope they make black dolls in their more expensive doll line (the one that goes in bigger box with pet).
    Plus size doll would’ve been nice to see.
    But also maybe they make handsome male dolls? 👀

    Defa Lucy is about to be like the Integrity doll line. Integrity dolls were like Barbie knockoffs now they are are expensive fashion dolls.

    Happy to see more people review these. The quality and detail on these dolls is kinda mindblowing tbh - the extra accessories, bend and snap knees, different head sculpts. Defa Lucy be beating Barbie to a pulp.
    Also just subscribed ;)

    Mexican here, let me talk to you about Brittany: the first doll that you reviewed in this video has a head mold that they introduced last year, up until 2022 te quality was seemingly awful and they used to use only one headmold that was a badly printed generation girl knock off. Last year they introduced what I like to call The Brittany extra line because it was clearly inspired by Barbie extra (they even have the same cartoonish pets) and that's when they had a HUGE leap in quality, added new headmolds even though they used the same as the first girl with the exact same screening for the full line up and some of them have the worst polypropylene hair (yes even worse than Barbie's) but they seem to be improving, as far as diversity goes this is the very first year they introduce different skin complexions (up until 2022 i could count with one hand the Brittany's with a not-blonde hair color)

      Thanks for the context. It does illustrate the usefulness of competition for consumers, even if it has to come from other countries. I am puzzled by you saying there was no diversity but the doll was sold in Mexico. That is sad if kids with darker features still get a light-featured doll as their only option, especially when the doll is the minority compared to the population.

    I actually really love these! I remember last year when you or someone else posted some pictures of the articulated Britanny dolls and Ive been wanting them every since!
    Ordered 3 on Shein 2 weeks ago, and I need to go pick them up at the post office and report back how they look. I ordered the same one you have with the christie color scheme, and from the articulated line I got the one with caramel hair and the one with minty hair! If i like them, next time I will get the articulated red head (someone did a photoshoot of her and she looked like a pantene ad, like so good) and the blonde one you have here.
    I really adore the face of the christie looking one, reminds me of mizi doll faces

    Heyo -
    It’s so funny because I was turned onto these dolls about a year ago, I was watching YT and the person was looking at fashion dolls on the shelves in another country. I was searching everywhere and then Temu dropped the whole entire collection. I have all the ones you bought and the more “ extra “ looking ones as well . I have had fun with the clothes and the dolls are really beautiful in my opinion. I’m keeping them on the body they came with. It’s dolls like this that bring out my creativity because they have so many things that are good about them. There are other variations that are yoga dolls, and stuff like that - those dolls have crazy looking faces- so I’m passing on those .

  • @teddychanfanatic1

    I've been seeing these dolls in a lot of my doll groups and I am interested in getting some of them. I am just not sure about Temu. I've heard lots of mixed reviews so I'll wait until I get a prepaid card before making an order to be on the safe side. I don't like that the fresh dolls all seem to have the same face but different skin/hair colors and textures. I was surprised and happy to see they made a white or what appears to be a white doll. I think it'll help then find a wider audience and encourage some cross over for their demographics. I would not mind if they kept to their core focus, but having a few diverse dolls in the mix would not hurt.

  • @Lmaoitscoco
    @Lmaoitscoco ปีที่แล้ว +9

    While i disagree that bratz is dead lmao, (small point lmao) i think barbie will be here but diversity will only get you so far, why does mattel give us diversity but not quality as soon as they give us diversity. Barbie should be the standard, i feel like if youre gonna give us different body types, you should also stick with fashions that fit those types. Otherwise they should drop it. Fashionistas needs a rebrand overall, thwy have their base $5 dolls, so making fashionistas their mid range fashion dolls then making looks their step before collector lines is best. I just feel bad for those designers that have to desigb with that painfully awful budget they give. If anything, less is more, like, instead of 30 dolls in one line of fashionustas, give 6 that are higher quality and focused. Like broad kens, make curvy fashions for curvy girls etc, because the one size fashions are really killing the idea of barbie tbh. She may not be going anywhere but she also wont be picked up.

The blonde's hair tone looks cheap, the blue hair doesn't look full enough, and the AA hair just doesn't look rich.
