- Music production interupted as JonCon 2023 descends on the Woodland household for the weekend. Here I talk about how this bizarre annual event came about.

I'm envious of your events. I wish I could go back in time and foster something like that.
No time like the present. Start fostering something now and see where it's at in a few years.
And now for something completely different!
Haha. Exactly.
Now half of the people will unsubscribe. 😜
AQMF was a great concept. I was one of the lucky ones that got their KS fulfilled, spent hours building period-based towns and fortifications and all the rest. But the studio troubles kind of sank it and the new KS just isn't compelling. It's an interesting game setting, I hope it can grow
I really liked it, but felt the original system needed some tweaking. I got into it long after the kickstarter and bought a substantial collection. Then I got to try an early version of the new system that is currently being kickstarted. That was in 2019, and I felt the new rules were fine, but took away from the fast pace of the oritinal game so was a bit disappointed.
I don't plan to support the new kickstarter, but will buy a pdf of the new rules when they are released and see what I think.
But, I've spent much more of my time on gaming over the years than on music, so I''m shifting my priorities and may just get rid of many of my miniatures games soon.
wow I think I can say in a few words what I see from you. Its a passion for life my friend its awesome to see one person bringing people together for nothing more then Passion of life.
Very kind of you to say. I always thought it was just an obsession with games and making stuff happen, but you could be onto something. ;-)
Your studio is another whole passion keep the videos coming sr.@@EdgetoneStudios
Will do. I'm currently mired in studio reconfiguration, but fear not... more videos coming soon.
Somewhat unrelated question: How much, if at all, do you worry about heat in your racks. I have both Cranborne Audio 500 series chassis and other various analog gear and I keep them separated by 1U gap and I have two computer fans in there. I'd rather not worry about it at all and I don't know if I even need to. I see countless people just stuffing everything in there. What do?
I've always tried to keep the layout such that there is some airflow above things that heat. Like my Amp500 has patchbays and cables above it so there is room to breath. I also have some things that are not always on, like headphone amp (only on while tracking), Overstayers MAS only on when distorting, etc.
I would never put UA Apollos on top of each other because they really heat up. It's a bit of common sense as well as stack what you can and see what happens. ;-)

Ah. So you go with the British term as an Awkward of geeks. Haha.
I like the "Big Brother" style look of that design, and it's the only JonCon with other people than me on it.
