      It is a wonderful speech and I think she did an absolutely fantastic job...but, those things in front of her are teleprompters. She didn't have to memorize the whole speech.

    Taylor's speech was very inspiring, motivational and sort of humor when she's joking. I love how she shared her personal experience while growing up and all the achievement throughout her career.     People just gotta hate cause they got nothing better to do. Taylor is a sweetheart and her talent got her where she is now. She didn’t have a super wealthy upbringing, she grew up middle class. Actually listen to all her music, and then make up your mind. She’s a great song writer and lyricist

    I am not a Taylor fan by any means. But to all her detractors who clearly think they know better, let's watch them succeed and leave their mark in the way that she has. I am a retired lawyer in my early 50s. I reached financial independence in my mid 40s. If I had has someone impart such wisdom onto me when I graduated I suspect I would have done even better. Go Taylor...

    Great job. The only such speech I saw was at NYU, when Bill Cosby's first line was: "Now. Go get a job! " , and was hilarious. But this was just fine, and I don't even listen to Taylor's music much if at all, so I was grateful to get to know her, and she's a lovely, smart girl. Kudos.

      Taylor Swift never went to college, but she just got an honorary doctorate degree in the fine arts from NYU. Basically it’s a BS degree that she was awarded to stroke her ego and bring publicity to the college.

      She loves being cryptic with her fans and has a thing for numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if she was asked in previous years by multiple universities to do commencement but chose to wait until '22 to finally do it. And another thing, I think most people graduate college when they're 22 years old! That's if they attend college right out of high school and finish their degrees in the expected 4 years. Even more evidence that she chose to wait for this year.
