I'm so glad you guys are still working on this and, most importantly, are trying to preserve what made Timesplitters unique and a classic for the ages. Much love to everyone on the team!
Bit of correction here, It wasn't demanded by the publishers, Steve Ellis had to pitch Timesplitters 4/Next as a f2p battle royale in order to get the greenlight from Deep Silver to start development, and also get the Studio, resources, employees etc.
did you see the leaked gameplay? it was third person. it looked and played like fortnite. i play alot of fortnite so no shade but it looked SOOOOOO bad an and obv ripoff. it wasnt timesplitters and its prob good it got axed. fuck shareholders

Mapmaker is a big part of why there's still a legacy fanbase for this franchise after 20 years of drought. imo, user content is the best way to keep fans coming back.

It's got to be one of the best fan love letters I've ever seen and at the point where the videogame industry has just laid off so many talented creators my dearest hopes to you and your team to pick up some of those cornerstone individuals to make the last push in to reality. Incredible work and it looks better and better worked. The lighting, the detail of each building and landscape. I hope your project can be finished soon. Although as you said in the video you still have a long way to go. In the multiplayer especially that there is no SBMM, we want a fun game and remember very good times of years ago. If there could be split screen like its predecessors it would be much better, because many times you spend good times with family and friends.

I'm glad people can finally see some progress again. I'm only a QA tester, not a dev, but it's still frustrating to see negative comments about the project supposedly being dead or whatever. Rewind is the best thing that can happen to TimeSplitters right now (besides an official trilogy remaster from Nightdive Studios maybe), so GG to the Rewind team.

Something that would be very cool for the future for TS Rewind would be plugin/mod support, this obviously shouldn't be a focus now but should be considered if possible. As I would love to see community made things for this TS Rewind, and I would personally help add to the community made things myself in any way I can.
I agree with this, Timesplitters is not just an fps, I would say its one of the few fps games that was made for fun and has good offline content. Would be a waste not having mod support for this game.

well as typing this ive recently got a PS5 and found timespliters 2 and future perfect in the black friday sales spent most of weekend playing them and bringing back some wonderful memories too the teenage me came out as it was back then. im just glad that your not rushing this and just getting out the door everyone who loves these game will want a proper done job on it and something that yous can be supper pround of been following this ever since i heard about it. yous have come along way and i hope one day it'll be ready for relecse for us to play and relive our youths allover again. from me personaly thank you for doing this and making a dam good job on it too cant wait to see the end resulit whenever that will be. be keeping my eye out for any more updates and keep up the awesome work

All three timesplitters are coming to psn this month so that gives slot of people easier access to these games again. Would still love for this project to come out but it’s been years and it doesn’t seem like it’s coming anytime soon. Hoping the psn release does well so we can actually get a proper new game in the years to come

I feel like one of the things that might be scaring off potential character animators (just as an example) is the lack of information about the project: What software is being used for modeling and animating the characters? Do you have finished rigs ready to go that animators can use? Which software are the rigs built in (Maya? Blender? Something else?) What's the overall team size here? How is everything organized? Are there weekly/monthly meetings? Maybe some sort of FAQ might be helpful? Anyway, just some thoughts - keep up the good work!

I think there are legal issues with this as they don't own the IP. If memory serves, they got permission to carry on with the project, but are not allowed to profit from it, which sucks for how much effort they obviously put in.

i almost cried, seeing some footage... im following Timesplitters rewind almost 10 years and i am so hyped to play this some day. I hope there will be challenges or something to challenge my friends, like those old challanges wherer you have to throw bricks into windows and the platin one is almost impossible but you would get a funny gun or stonegolem for private matches. I also thought about of maybe an elo system or something just to be a bit modern, or a system to compare players and ranking them. And it looks amazing on UE4
