I've been part of the vaccine rollout in the UK since march, and that bit where Ken talked about the umbrella and the monsoon as an explanation of how different varients affect the vaccine differently is BY FAR the best I've heard.

Working in retail during covid has been one hell of a ride.
I was managing a retail store until August of last year and people just went from bad to worse.

I’ve had customers tell me “I’m useless” or “I should go kill myself” or just screaming in my face and seeing their anger just pouring right out of them! I agree with you ! It blows my mind

For any Americans reading this, we had a delta surge in the UK for months now, and we have 70% of the entire population (including some children now) vaccinated with at least their first dose, and cases absolutely sky rocketed here despite that. Do be careful because the delta variant isn't messing around

Delta is infectious but not deadly right? The cases sky rocketed, but then deaths weren't as much as before.
@@_-HaKooNa.MaTaTa- it's actually a more serious strain than the other variants, gets you much more ill, but because so many of us were vaccinated that was the only thing that stopped deaths going up. Hospitalisations have been steadily increasing though, which just shows how serious this new strain is, despite vaccinations. America on the other hand has dangerously low vaccine uptake, which is what worries me

On a separate note, I also don’t think we should be laughing at nicki Minaj. I had a myelogram 7 years ago. (I have scoliosis and they inject dye into your spinal cord to see the curvature) they pricked my spinal cord and I’ve had spasms since, so let’s not pretend a vaccine CANT cause crazy shit.
A vaccine can certainly cause crazy shit (hence the informational papers you tend to get whenever you get any type of vaccine), but the small risk of that happening just cannot be tolerated as a fearmongering weapon. Especially when it boils down to a situation like what happened to Nicki's cousin's friend, where correlation doesn't equal causation but it's been treated like it does.

@@Nazaba09 with all due respect, I don't think a vaccine can cause what your myelogram did, seeing as administering a vaccine doesn't require approaching the spinal cord. However, even if it did, a vaccine, unlike a myelogram, is meant to protect the people around you as well. That's why it frustrates many people when others fearmonger about the vaccine; doing so can literally endanger people.
