I hated those damn ghosts following you through every level. That's what I remember most about this game. I hate that sense of urgency in a game. I like to take my time, explore, take in the atmosphere. Hard to do that in this one.

When Henry says "Are you okay?" to Cynthia when she's dying, I'm like "Dude! She's! Blood! Dead! Cuts... DEATH! BLEEDING! Seriously?! How do you think she is?!" XD
As soon as you understand Henry's personality, you realize that he's being compassionate to Cynthia. He knows that she's dying and that world wasn't only a dream, as that dream seems so real as he stated before. That's why when he found her dying on the floor, he tried to make her feel better by telling her "are you ok?" and "it's just a dream", because she believed in that. With Eileen was different, when he found her hurt badly on the floor at 36:54, he's got frustrated instead of being compassionate, because at that point he knew a lot about what was happening and Eileen was his love interest. He knew that Eileen was certainly going to die and just collapsed...You can feel how sad he's got at 1:08:42 when he heard abouth her death. He reacted pretty different with Cynthia :)
This game is not the best in the seriest but its the most dark creepy and disturbing in the series especially the fucking twin victims even pyramid head didnt affect me as much as they did
this game marked me, and i know, the twin and the guy that went through the wall in the beginning gave me couple of sleepless nights as a kid...awesome game series, can`t wait for the next one

Good memories about this game. The room being in FPV was a nice touch and did make you feel more like a part of the room itself and seeing the wierd effects firsthand.
There's four endings. Great, Good, Bad and Worst. Great and good are similar and bad and worst are similar. Eileen dies in bad and worst although it's better if she dies.
To get the good ensing, best if you don't fight Walter till you get the four spears on each side first before beginning to fight him. You need 6 things. The anbiloco cord first item, the pick ax of despair, and 4 strong healing items. Also get 1 extra healing item when he cheats and shoots you. scramble up fast, heal fast, then get the 4 spears to the right starting from the far right to the middle and stab away with the 4 spears. Then same to the left. Then add the anbiloco cord, wait for Walter to get up and wait till he is about to attack you, then before he is about to hit you, after charging your weapon hit him good, then keep at it every time timing it out perfectly. In 11 hits on charge and random attacks after when you can, he Will die and you will get the good ending.
i remember i once went to a lodge on a band trip, and i was in the hot tub with all my friends. I said "Damn, I feel sorry for the chicks in room 302." When asked why, I asked "Any of you play Silent Hill 4?" and then all but one said no. The one that didn't say no replied "Isn't that a movie?"
If I were to be stuck in a room with no tv, phone, internet, and books I already read. I too would peep on my hot neighbor and stare out the window all day.... OH and make puppet friends.
My top Silent Hill protagonist is James Sunderland. I thought he was better. Also my favorite Silent Hill would probably be Downpour because I loved the story line:)
It would have been much better if you had included the papers, notes and journals. The real story lies in all the random notes and journals you find. It makes you want to guess the ending but you still end up surprised. Just the cutscenes make me want to play all over again and connect all the Silent Hill stories together like how 2 & 4 and 1 & 3 link together.
I love silent hill 4 such an amazing part of the series, the graphics were and still are amazing and I loved the soundtrack. In my opinion it was the last good one, the last of its kind, it all changed and sucked after 4

The biggest mistake was naming this game as silent Hill for profit with the name...instead of just the room as was meant to be. It would please 100% of the players if it wasn't for that. Is a horror game that owes nothing to silent Hill , very good in its way with same masterpiece horror but is not silent hill
I was trying to think of actors that would play characters in this game, if they ever made a movie from it. I used to think Brad Pitt would make a good Walter Sullivan, but he's a bit old now. I DO personally think that Jared Padalecki would do an AWESOME Walter Sullivan.
While I generally dislike Cynthia, I can honestly say when Henry says "It's okay, it's just a dream" I feel a little warm inside.
