Fellas, don't date princesses because the second they perceive any hardship on the horizon, they're GONE. Marry a woman who's used to working, and she'll stay with you through tragedy.
The complimentary idea to this proposition is that men dump the women who stay with them through hardships. It explains that once things look better, he'll leave her for a "better model" 😢

When people leave when the partner/spouse becomes poor, old, sick, post pregnancy body, wrinkles, normal aging, it's not called love, it never was. People fall in LUST with money, youth, body parts, and when those things changes, they leave. People who fall in love is unconditional, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, richer or poor, young and old, skinny or mom/dad bods, etc.

Similar situation happened to me. My ex-girlfriend called me last minute for dinner and I didn't realize that I forgot my wallet until we were eating. I brought it to her attention and she gave me a guilt trip and made it seem like I did it on purpose. After that our relationship truly tanked and I lost almost all affection for her. I would never be with someone like that!
No do the house chores, take care of the babies, cook food for family, wash the clothes , clean the house, wash the dishes then talk about 50 50 bill ✔️
I understand there's a lot of men here talking about how your wives married you when you were broke and had no other good prospects and she held you down and paid for everything and now that you're successful you spoil her. But there are many women who love and provide for broke men who turn around and resent these women for sticking by their side during the tough times and as soon as these men make any reasonable income they leave the woman and trade her in for their actual preference that they can now afford. So forgive some of us women who hesitate to fall in love with or get involved with a man if his finances aren't in order because his true colors come out once he's financially secure and no longer needs her as a stepping stone. Basically turning her into the female version of a simp. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. The "practice" wife. The "pick me" girl. And many of these broke men are also violent and ill tempered with trauma and PTSD and guilt trip these women into being their cash cows and punching bags. So again, please forgive some of us ladies for not all lining up around the block to get with the first broke dude who sends us a d*ck pic or asks us to take them to In-N-Out in our car and get swishers for them from 7/11 as a first date. Not all of us are avoiding broke men because we're golddiggers. Some of us are just not trying to get screwed over by wolves in "broke, meek, nice guy who is just down on his luck" sheep's clothing.
The difference is very clear, really. If she doesn't have money herself and expects princess treatment, she's probably a gold digger. If she pays her own way and expects the same from a man, she's not one, rather financially savvy and self-respecting.
yup. *broke men usually are deeply insecure*. it's sad, really, but a girl should never risk her own well being and safety, hoping that said man would feel better about himself one day and appreciate her affections. the absolute worst a woman can do is to try to convince a man that she's the perfect girlfriend/wife material, sooo trad and so eager to please, and not some gold-digger like many others. she automatically and willingly puts herself beneath that man and not once in the history of mankind there was a man from the bottom of social hierarchy who actually respected someone like this. an insecure and bitter person who hates himself will never show any gratitude, he will never heal - because he never wanted love, only a naive, inexperienced scapegoat who would fall for all these "i just need a hug" pompous laments. his revenge fantasy is what keeps him going, not your sandwiches or your kindness. he doesn't want your compassion, he wants to drag you down with him, dominate and humiliate you. you're not his lover nor his friend, you're his enemy. he's in a constant battle mode and there's nothing you can do about it. they always say that we should feel sorry for traumatized, weak and broke people and that we should give them a chance, but they never say what *may* happen to us if we actually show them some empathy. too much power can corrupt, but weakness corrupts even more.
Women also do more emotional work in a relationship. They tend to be better listeners and provide more nurturing and care than men do for them. Expecting men to pick up that slack financially isn't always a huge crime
When things got real tough financially early in our relationship and I couldn't sleep for the stress she told me, 'don't worry darling, as long as we have soup and firewood we'll be OK'. Still going strong 20 years later.

"Prenups are soo passe"! Meaning she didn't want to sign one. If you have some assets and ask a woman (Or man.) to sign a prenup and they refuse, say goodbye. They have already planned how to marry you and get some of your money.
Almost every beautiful woman is like this. Why would they want to be with someone who cannot pay for them? There's plenty of men who will. It's life. Men want beautiful women, women want strong rich men. It's pretty straight forwards and transactional.
Thats all OK 100%. Supply and demand. Just, be honest, and call it the correct way - call it "prostitution". Dont call it "love", dont call it "marriage", dont call it "relationship". Just name it right, and all is good.
@@nickname5103 Things are often more nuanced than that. Just because a man is dating for looks and woman for money doesn't mean there is never connection/affection involved. That's very black and white thinking
It should have ended with the staff saying “now you know” and him responding “thanks for going along with my test. I trust the first card went through?” “Of course sir.”

Getting broken up with is not bad objectively-it doesn’t need to be bad terms unless something unforgivable comes up like cheating or whatnot. She could have still been a friend to you. Maybe she just didn’t want to continue the romantic journey with you, that’s all. I get it. I was broken up with too. But I’m okay with it ultimately. It’s been a long time to feel this way but because I loved him during, why should I stop if I know he’s a good person, he doesn’t wish harm on me, and he didn’t do anything to fully uproot + ruin my life, especially not purposely? Idk. The situation might be different if you, but yeah..
Pretty powerful scene. I have been with women who would refused because the understanding was that the woman’s wallet is her own the man’s wallet is hers too ( young and beautiful ) but I have also been with decent generous women like my current relationship where my partner slips me money discretely to pay workers diners or other things because she has more money than me but doesn’t want to embarrass me.
Well, there's a lot of men who won't let a woman pay because it's his due, usually traditional or conservative guys. Hard to blame somebody if maybe that's how she's been treated her whole life.
i like how the "boss lady" has to intervene on the CC payment. evenings out a min $500.00 cash in pocket required. women, don't upscale meals unless prepared to cover
If he has problems with money why didn’t he tell her BEFORE BRINGING HER TO AN EXPENSIVE RESTAURANT??This is not about “she left him” this is about him not being honest and not behaving like an adult. A real man would’ve been honest and mature enough to tell her before their date about financial problems and cancel date or find a cheaper alternative. But THIS SITUATION is circus. Whoever is on the boy’s side is an embarrassment.

A lesson fellas: You can never count on a woman to have your back. Some will, but most won't. She will spend your money all day, but when it comes to spending her money, even if she's sure of reimbursement, you can't count on her. Remember guys, when it comes down to it, you're on your own. As a famous song says: "A Woman Is A Sometimes Thing."
It’s so nice to read some of the comments from men talking about how much they appreciate their gfs and wives standing by them when they were broke and how they take care of them now that their situation has improved. So many female TH-camrs that bash men talk about how important it is to never build up a man because he’ll leave you when his life gets better for someone else.
Well many of them actually DO leave. So I think it's more about living your own life, not investing in someone waiting for them to become more successful. And not being with someone who doesn't fulfill your standards

i honestly don't know, and hopefully they do not think it is real. but the response from the OP was an analysis as though this was real, as if the people were real and their motivations were to be interpreted rather than the motivations being dictated by the script writer. this is absurd to me, and is problem with treating media as though it is real life.
the rest of your comments
- Does it offend you...
-You know thats the charm of stories right...
-Do you watch tv muttering to yourself "its fake" to keep yourself from relating?
i can't really take these questions too seriously, as i feel these are more attempted attacks on my character rather than real questions. i don't know how you drew all that out of my two sentences that i wrote, i feel it is more than unfair and not very civil. as though you drew your conclusions of me from a made up fiction, that is conveniently one-dimensional enough to have the simple motivations you ascribe to me.
but no, it doesn't offend me. i do find stories charming, but in my older age i find them more vapid and empty of meaningful content. for example, i find this allegory naked and lacking nuance, like bad guys wearing black and having warts on their face it is not very satisfying unless you just want to feel more of what you already feel.
i watch TV wishing that it wasn't obviously so fake as to have flat, one-dimensional characters defined by catch-phrases tracing out stereotypical dialog paths. what i certainly don't do is analyze such obvious bad media and treat their intentions based on my real world intuition, i very much wouldn't be 'absolutely sure' of anything other than the motivations of the character are exactly what the writer intended for their plot.

When people leave when the partner/spouse becomes poor, old, sick, post pregnancy body, wrinkles, normal aging, it's not called love, it never was.

Similar situation happened to me. My ex-girlfriend called me last minute for dinner and I didn't realize that I forgot my wallet until we were eating. She didn't want him. She wanted his money
Lot of truth there, respect your honesty, happy new year.
Women also do more emotional work in a relationship. They tend to be better listeners and provide more nurturing and care than men do for them. Expecting men to pick up that slack financially isn't always a huge crime

Sometimes there’s traditional dynamics, that’s all

It’s so nice to read some of the comments from men talking about how much they appreciate their gfs and wives standing by them when they were broke and how they take care of them now that their situation has improved. So many female TH-camrs that bash men talk about how important it is to never build up a man because he’ll leave you when his life gets better for someone else.
Well many of them actually DO leave. So I think it's more about living your own life, not investing in someone waiting for them to become more successful. And not being with someone who doesn't fulfill your standards
So it is actually not a very good idea to "build up a man". Well, in my opinion of course
My ex-wife lied, saying her father wanted us out of his rented house so we could buy our own. Later, she got excited about looking at new homes and forgot she had told me her father wanted us out in case our marriage failed. Now, I’m in a new relationship and much happier.
