A Pagani design grows on you. It's like the woman who ticks nothing in your list, yet ticks the point you never listed. It'll always be imperfect, but imperfections make things timeless. But heck! Why am I waxing eloquent about something I may never lay my hands on. I'll simply enjoy the beauty of this art and hop back into my Skoda Yeti.
Give it a couple of years. This is gonna be a design classic. Everyone who is apprehensive about the design will give into this design. This design needs time to understand.
The Huayra received a redesigned front end, so I don't know what you're talking about. This design has no flow, it's a mess of details that don't fit together seamlessly
You are absolutely right. Soon enough everyone will come realise that what we are looking at is an evolution of car styling. Everyone, else is just copying what everyone else is saying.
This is a work of art. Only a true atrist can appreciate its elegant beauty.. I design cars. Not officially but as a hobby, from my childhood......and I can see...I can see how classic and premium and Unique the thinking of its designer 's is..Horacio Pagani is not only a designer..He is a artist.only this era can't appreciate him properly. cause we don't have the ability to understand an art...Hope in future it will get waht it deserves. Hope it will worth 25 millions or above like 250 millions...cause 2.5 million is really cheap for that art..It should definately be in a museum...
Yeah my first impression was not good but I'm certainly softening. I think I will end up liking it. Especially if I ever see it in person... probably won't be my favorite Pagani but that's a pretty high bar anyways.
This is genuinely one of the best car videos I have ever watched. Everything I have thought internally, and I mean everything, about Pagani, but never had the words to fully express are present in this video. Sooner or later, we'll all learn to love the Utopia, even if we never see one, and have no choice but to observe through a screen.
Congratulations for the video. Your point of view represents the one for many people. Although I still do not understand it fully, for me it’s pure magic on wheels, like the Huayra, and the more you look at it the more you love it. And if you love it with the pass of time, you have created art. And even might not need to see the R version. Just want to contemplate this one for a long time.
I LOVE the Utopia. It is truly art on 4 wheels. This, the DeTamaso P72 and the Ford GT have to be 3 of the most beautifully sculpted cars ever made, and the fact the Utopia and the P72 come in manual transmissions is the icing on a very, very sweet cake. We are looking at another, timeless modern-day classic here.
How can you possibly get lost with Huayra, that is one of the all time great cars. Its beautiful from every angel (possibly besides the original version but the BC and Codalunga are stunning and unmatched), it drives incredibly from what I've heard, its top notch at every angle - how could you get lost there?
@@all-caps3927 yeah the original model was disappointing for me, a bit like when Lamborghini went from the Murcielago to the Gallardo. I like the Huarya R though, nothing sounds like it at the moment let's see if the Utopia R can top it.
This video so elegantly and perfectly sums up this enigma of a car. My inner thoughts and feelings were beautifully translated into speech better than I could have said it myself. This is the first video of yours that I've seen that I actually passed by scrolling a few times, but you've definitely piqued my interest now to look into more of what you've done.
The utopia was striking and mysterious at first to me. Something that took hours to even full grasp. As I watch videos I find it not drawing a sense of speed and power and mechanical greatness from but something far more special. Emotions, real, raw power full emotion like watching a proposal, tears of happiness, a deep connection with truth and passion for automotive art. You nailed it by comparing it to Picasso. And to me it's becoming a monet or van Gogh. Truthfully it has very much inspired me to pursue success in life so that one day I may own one. Not to see it and drive it. But for the chance to be "intimate" with it, to touch it to experience it on the deepest level. It is becoming one of the greatest works of art I have ever seen. Like starry night, or pink Floyd's the walls the depth to it's meaning and symbolism eludes me however my body and mind react, craving for more. I. will . Have. You.
The Huayra's design at first was questionable but it's definitely grew on me over time. Horacio Pagani is in his own league in terms of design. His cars are pieces of drivable art and the designs will age amazingly.
What a beautifully narrated piece! Thank you for so eloquently describing such an amazing person and his art, which can only be appreciated with timeless originality. This car, as all his designs, reveal an incredible imagination and harmony with nature! I can only afford the models but I have everyone of them and they are the highlight of my collection because of their timeless beauty! Thank you, again, for such a wonderful video!
OMG what a video! I feel like we all thought everything you said in here but we could never put it out so well structured and delivered as a poem. PS: you just got a new sub with that video.
Muy bueno tu video, gracias por hacernos notar detalles que nos pasan desapercibidos. Sentí tu emoción al expresar tu parecer, gracias. Saludos cordiales.
Great video! To me, this is already one of the most beautiful cars ever made. What you said about details versus the whole picture was interesting, because for someone like me the whole picture gets lost within the first second of looking at something. This is why I've never been able to find a Ferrari beautiful, because they always look good at a glance but fall apart once you begin studying them. The Utopia though, has meaning, purpose, a message in every part of it. It's like a whole book of Pagani's thoughts, a story that tells you about its own creation. That, to me, is what makes it beautiful.
So many videos have been made about Pagani. YOURS however, is unique. Your text, composition, analysis, thoughtfulness and genuine critique (not just regurgitating weight, engine torque and numbers) display an intelligence that is rare in automotive videos.
WOW . . . . Beautiful . . . Simply amazing . . . everything about it . . . the design / lines, the details , the color . . . wow . . . yes this is art . . . at it's best !
Theres something about the Paganis. i just grown and keep growing into their newer versions. they just seem to get more beautiful in my eyes. I had thought i seen their pinnacle with the Huayra R but then when i saw the Utopia i felt inside that it was much beyond. This for me is truly the most beautiful car so far, It just seems so simple yet it dares in a beautiful way.
New channel…. I like the formatt. Particularly for a hyper car. Was a nice overview of the art of the car. I can see 50 channels talking about the HP etc. Don’t care - they are all fast. At $1-3M , I want to see the design. Keep it up.
Finally a car with personality and character. Somethings often missing from today’s design restrictions. I love it. And all future versions. It is a design I weirdly enough understand.
I have rarely listened to a review that was both so positive, critical, and at the same time so closely mirrored my own thoughts. I agree 100% on my initial reaction to the Hyuara, after the Zonda, and now seeing the Utopia. I think it will grow on me a great deal, but the screens do spoil it and Bugatti, regarding tech in their interiors, is correct.
The Utopia's design has a real calming effect for something so mechanically powerful. To your point, it's the epitome of the 'smoothing' Haratio has been doing to his models for years now.
The Huayra wasn't complete until they put the Tempesta pack on. It was good looking, it was just missing a little something. The Utopia is good looking but the front could be revised a little and the interior on Passenger side dash is flat box like 80's minivan Why doesn't have the glove box like the huayra. The Koenigsegg Regera is so good looking. Koenigsegg hit out of the park with CC850!
I like it when a car has something other than "mordern" styling. That way, it doesn't get old when "the new model" comes out. That's why people love the 76 landcruiser which is still in production. It timeless.
Now this car is a true modern retro classic. It has a look that really pays homage to the 50s and 60s while being completely ultra modern. Without even trying.
I don’t know but like unusual stuff, and unique things, these are masterpieces, and there is no need to compare pagani with anyone period ,he is in a class all by himself, period I can’t take my eyes off these cars ,that’s joy you know brilliance
I really appreciated this analysis. I lot of people have been fawning over the Utopia simply because it's a Pagani, and yes I can understand why. But this car is, I believe, not yet at it's final form. The individual design elements in their own right are beautiful, put together they lack a degree of cohesion and at times appear to add unnecessary confusion to the overall impression. It could also be argued that stylistically it's a bit too much of a mishmash of Zonda/Huayra.... Like a directors cut of parts and design ideas that evolved between the two cars put together to make a third. Perhaps that's being a little overly harsh. I will look forward to see how this design evolves as it surely will during its lifetime. For me, it's not quite the finished article just yet...
there are already renderings of customer cars and you should see what they look like. its absolutely beautiful. as much as i love the beige classic theme for the announcement car, its an acquired taste for those who like the classic traditional race cars (no judgement for those who love modern cars more) but a more vibrant and sporty color would force people to look at it in a different light.
That Utopia is the best Pagini yet! If I ever hit the lottery, that would be the first car I attempted to purchase, even in the aftermarket if they were all sold out. Absolutely incredible automobile, but aren't all Pagani's!
Interesting. I couldn't explain how I feel about the Utopia, but you somehow managed to put it into words. I, however, don't agree with the section about the Interior. Those screens in the Huayra make it look like a car from a 1960s Sci-Fi film, and it still looks nice, especially when you compare it to the interior of a Koenigsegg or a Lamborghini from that time. The analog dials is the highlight of the Huayra interior, and gives that extra style, or sportiness, depending on the chosen colour. Green or light blue dials make it more stylish, and red dials make it more sporty. There was a Huayra BC for sale with purple and black carbon exterior, black and white interior, and the dials were purple to top it all off.
I didn't like it at first either but now feel its the most beautiful car ive ever seen. The things i didnt like about it ie the disjointed look i now sense the complete opposite from it. Its a joy to look at with so many points of interest the individually are gorgeous but as a whole its a true delight to experience it reminds me how great it is to be alive and how fortunate i am to be in a world of such awesome greatness.
That was well beautifully said, overall this is a really controversial cars it still isn’t growing on me but later on it will, the huayra on the other hand first laying eyes on it I was completely in love
I just loved all the versions of the Zonda, and when he came out with the Huayra, I loved it too. But for me, the new Utopia just doesn't smoothly flow. It looks very over done. The proportions are right on, but not the details. It looks like it will go over well in China or Japan. As a kid growing up in the 80's, I was always a big fan of Giorgetto Giugiaro, Marcello Gandini, Fioravanti and Fanco Sabarro. I always wanted to be a car designer growing up. I used to draw cars incessantly. But unfortunately it's easier to get into the NBA, than it is to be a car designer. I wanted to work for Bertone, or Carrozzeria Touring. Thanks.
It’s the ovular shaping incorporated so extremely, into a vehicle based on design cues that were octagonal/hexagonal (zonda), that makes it a bit odd to the eye.
I really like the exterior. Not every manufacturer needs to be going for records, and forget about the driving experience. All these wind tunnel cars are starting to blend for me, while yes it is exciting I'm glad that there are manufacturers focusing on other elements of the supercar experience. This looks to me like if rolls royce were to design a supercar, sleek and aggressive but equally elegant. I agree with you about the interior, though. It's the best they've done so far, but it would still be better if they moved the vents to not obstruct the line of the dashboard.
Back in 2011 people thought Huayra looked like a fish with weird side mirrors, but then over the years it grew on them and now you can see everyone praising it as a jewel. Same story probably goes to Utopia. It's not that it looks terrible, it's just the aesthetics that is already beyond the current level of aesthetics.
What this Pagani is, is a *Utopia* .... This car looks old, yet new... The interior hell well looks like it comes from the 60s. Like a Sci Fi Spaceship from a time capsule from the 90s. It does look disjointed. Because you can't even understand where it came from... Its an enigma. The it's feel like the 1st time I saw a Pagani Zonda (Grand Turismo ) wonderd, ''what the hell is this car....?'' McCoy Pagani In the real world, Utopia doesn't exist. Its a figment of imagination and Pagani has this description defined to the people of automotive art. Creating a little heaven down here. A Utopia
Damn, the way this video and soft voice is selling the design, I'd feel ashamed of I bought it and drive it instead of putting it on display next to my bed.. I'm sold
Pagani is art. I loved loved the Zonda R V12 screaming sound. I really hope the Huayara R is like that. Personally, I loved the design of the Huayara, but hated that it was a turbo & not naturally aspirated. So far I love the interior & exterior of the Huayara. I like the interior & how the doors open of the Huayara in comparison to the Utopia. But the Utopia is still stunning. Just hope they make a Utopia R with that screaming V12. The Zonda will always be a classic & legendary, but Pagani needs to make more classic & legendary cars. Hopefully, one day I can afford one of their cars R version
Pagani is much like Vincent van Gogh, who looks(ed) at his craft differently. When you look at the lines of the Pagani, it doesn't make sense how everything comes together so seamlessly even though logic suggests it would not. Just like van Gogh, he is a madman by design but his works of art are so refined and simple at first glance, yet they are cutting edge and sharp. The Utopia is yet another design that will be timeless. It is elegant. It is beautiful. Even innocent looking upon first glance. But when you pay attention to the details: the lines, the interior, the engine bay you realize that not only are you looking at art, you are looking at a machine capable of performance of another level.
What made me love Pagani was the engineering, attention to detail and most important to me was the sound. The Zonda F,Zonda 760RS,Zonda R and now Huyara R is something that stirs my soul.I get that it wasn't faster than a McLaren F1 or Bugatti Veyron. To me the emotions that were expressed by the beautiful body of the Huyara were butchered by the v8 sounding twin turbo v12.I say this is because Aston Martin who also builds a twin turbo v12 has actually made it sound like a V12 while being turbocharged.I'm wondering why can't Pagani do the same? I like the utopia it reminds me alot of the Nissan R390 GT1 racecar,it's not a bad design but the Zonda while it doesn't look as good as either Utopia or Huyara I'd still take the naturally aspirated v12 of the Zonda over the others.
From a time when car makes used stylists to design cars, and later we turned it into car design for safety and efficiency. I think the Utopia was Horacio trying to achieve a symbiosis between the two. The stylist old and the designer new. To me this car is the story of Cinderella running with her velvety gown flowing into the wind, frozen in time. Gaudy and juvenile in some places but the styling works with the design.
I love it, I think it’s beautiful. It reminds me of the aviation inspired coach built cars from the 30s like the Hispano Suiza Carmen. And may I say how wonderful and well thought your channel is, I look forward to more posts in the future

The art of presenting a car! Besides Clarkson’s McLaren P1: The Widowmaker, this is one of the best! And the car… well it’s an absolute masterpiece!!!
Amazing video👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This car is mad beautiful 😩
Amazing video!
A hypercar for the future, from a different world 🛸❤
Brilliant video. Thank you.
I love the chrome with neon dash and dials it looks like a retro 3022 edition
What this Pagani is, is a *Utopia* .... This car looks old, yet new... The interior hell well looks like it comes from the 60s. Like a Sci Fi Spaceship from a time capsule from the 90s. It does look disjointed. Because you can't even understand where it came from... Its an enigma. The it's feel like the 1st time I saw a Pagani Zonda (Grand Turismo ) wonderd, ''what the hell is this car....?''
McCoy Pagani
In the real world, Utopia doesn't exist. Its a figment of imagination and Pagani has this description defined to the people of automotive art. Creating a little heaven down here. A Utopia
Damn, the way this video and soft voice is selling the design, I'd feel ashamed of I bought it and drive it instead of putting it on display next to my bed.. I'm sold
Great review!
what is the music featured in this video?
Damn ur channel deserves atleast 10m subcribers....
It’s beautiful it’s nice looking good bro love ❤️ it
Very high quality video
I had goosebumps through the whole video
Coolest interior of any car! Looks like a P51 mustang!
2:53 You have to be close to the masterpiece in order to see all the details
From a time when car makes used stylists to design cars, and later we turned it into car design for safety and efficiency. I think the Utopia was Horacio trying to achieve a symbiosis between the two.
The stylist old and the designer new.
To me this car is the story of Cinderella running with her velvety gown flowing into the wind, frozen in time. Gaudy and juvenile in some places but the styling works with the design.
Candy White Pearl with Smurf Blue leather is what I would want.
A car that everybody deserves to experience but no one deserves to own.
I love it, I think it’s beautiful. It reminds me of the aviation inspired coach built cars from the 30s like the Hispano Suiza Carmen. And may I say how wonderful and well thought your channel is, I look forward to more posts in the future
Tbh this might be the most elegant looking hyper car ever
