I would add that as a viewer, Larry goes deeper inside the music and pulls out sounds that you may miss, I actually like that he doesn't stay on the parts of the song that most others dancers stay at. I describe it as dancers dancing on top of a song vs Les Twins dancing inside of the song.
yeah the problem with the doc is he can see but cant hear, you have to listen very carefully to understand his dance, most other dancers just hit the same beats but les twins bring out all the sounds in the beat but some people cant hear it either due to lack of muscial knowledge as a producer myself i can say les twins 95% hit all the small intricate sounds
Nah the doc def can hear and he can see that Larry knows how to accentuate sounds, beats, rhythms, and melodies and the Doc picking up on them too. It's just that for the Doc something within Larry's dance just gets lost in translation sometimes. I remember in the last BTM exchange he reacted to between Larry & Soyuz he said something along the lines of "Until Larry hits a particular sound everything leading up to it feels like filler, like in an anime". The Doc has been dancing and reacting to battles for a hot min so he def does have that musical knowledge especially since he has labbed with Slim Boogie, Kid Boogie, Boogie Frantick, etc. and these dudes are nasty and super knowledgeable.
Larry reminds me of edward scissor hands with the way he be twitching. Far as jamsy goes he def has potential, but I agree on metal's points that it's very upper body heavy and there's not alot of speed changes within his moves. He has great combos, power, and concepts so there is def talent there for him to build upon.
I think jamsy suffered cause they really aint have no krump tracks for him unfortunately Cause he actually does get buck, he's not SUPER elite but he gets busy
We’ll it’s BTM they are going to have a variety of tracks they aren’t genre heavy so you gotta be versatile and top notch to really kill it at btm 🤷🏽♀️
@@TheRaissarenee ultimately they did go from genre to genre in the entire event, and they definitely had funk for soyuz and cintia, they had house and afro for nadeeya, they had electro for miel They could have had ONE krump track for jamsy, because in both his cyphers they really aint have that On the flip side, hip hop was just a _bit_ overrepresented in this event. It made it difficult for hip hop dancers to fully develop new concepts or expressions because they were always gonna play to their strengths once it was track they were familiar with. But more so, I was just trying to explain why jamsy was not as buck as he typically would've been, the music sort of forced him to explore the other elements of his dance(and i saw things from him I never really seen from him before)
