That’s a nice big black hose Peter, plenty of girth but must say it looks a bit flaccid, lube it up and it should help it gain some rigidity. Have to be careful handling a big hose, can get very messy, I always have a roll of tissue nearby, sometimes I use baby wipes.
I have the same problem with my 2006 E350 with my lower radiator hose at the radiator joint and the top radiator hose joint. Any tips that could help me?
Hey. The new Mercedes pipes are made very poorly and the joints leak. Likewise, the coolant too, and you have to put it in under pressure! A special pressure hose from a branded store is needed. So, go and buy new gaskets or hoses at the Mercedes store. Fortunately, Mercedes also supplies many, many small spare parts. Although nowadays Mercedes quality is weak weak... I'm sorry. 👍😀
in my case it showed the heating temperature message in-sighting to add coolant i stopped went to add the coolant i found out that the pipe you are cutting had not been clipped at the radiator actually it was not connected to the radiator we fixed that but it kept on showing the heating temperature you can drive for less than 300 metres then message pops up again you stop the car turn off the engine after 5 to 10 minutes you start the engine the temperature will be back to normal and the fan keeps on running the moment you start the car when you cut the engine the keeps on running to about 2 or 3 minutes then it stops what can i do i need your help
Your problem is that MB engine coolant must be put in with air pressure according to orthodoxy. This makes adding fluid difficult. Dealer have special tool.

That coolant that leaked out… does it cause the car to smoke? If so, is it bad?

No smoke, only overheating to engine
