Thank you for sharing about your past Ryan. I had a very sad and similar story. Its tough. I often feel guilty of how good my life has turned out and awkward having a beautiful place to call home.
So I just look up to the sky and say thank you to God. shell

Same here. Ran away far away where no one can find me. Just ridin my old truck catchin these Rodeo’s. Alls I knew of home was some sunset and clouds. A drifter.
You can tell his coping mechanism is smiling. Same here

the payment on your house is late, if i ever have a problem like that i guess ill be in pretty good shape, starving to death.....
Ryan has a beautiful soul and a ton of talent i been listening since i got drawn in by the album cover on Mescalito as i was scrolling through cd's at an online record store cuz my buddy at work told me i should check out Hayes Carll. Well i came to Ryan's cd first and because i liked that picture of him sitting in the road with his head down wearing his zigzag line bracelet i clicked on it and listened to a sample and i bought it right then. a couple weeks later i made me a zigzag line bracelet too. When i met him in indy at the vogue, well out behind it by his bus actually I said check this out. him and his road manager thought it was cool and i wanted to tell him the whole story but it wasnt like he didnt have better shit to do than talk to me. What really blew my mind was this girl at work told me i should meet him there that night. i said yea sure that would be cool/ are you stupid im not gonna meet him there was what i was thinking.
Youve come a long way Ryan Bingham nothing but love and respect for you. Your songs are like medicine for the soul to the people that are drawn to them, Thank You for all you do!

I was fortunate enough to see him back in I think 2008-09 range. We decided to drive east a bit and watch him at Chelsea's in Baton Rouge. This was back when it was just him and the Dead Horses. We stayed after the show and ended up being the only people in the bar with the band. We hung out on the back patio and drank and smoked cigarettes and tried not to drool as we realized what was happening. Ryan was super nice and just another one of the guys. Corby gave me one of his picks from the show and Ryan gave me his brass slide that he used that night. I still to this day use that slide and cherish it. It was one of the best memories I have from watching a live band. Me and my band members love this guy and his music. I am hoping his new album will take a few steps back and get back to the Mescalito style, but so far I'm loving Jingle & Go. I'm thinking this new album will really jam! Can't wait.

@@nickb.237 fuck yeah i love his music too I was hooked as soon as i heard the southside of heaven. I had some Indian friends I grew up with in monrovia in. there mom was full blooded tewa and when their dad had died and times were changing they moved back to new mexico so there were lyrics ryan sang that came to life for me becauae i had been out there and saw the Sangre de Cristos sitting on the front porch at santa clara res. we cruised to Taos and i swear i saw the crosses on the hill. i love the high. desert its so beautiful with the muted pastel colors. yea i dont know how his new album will sound but ive never heard a bad ryan bingham song. I cant wait..... peace joe crow
