Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner). The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America's first national park.

When you find out his mother died of chronic alcohol abuse when he was very young, followed by his father being a chronic drug addict who committed suicide, you can see why he wrote this song. It is a miracle that he is even alive, sober, and so normal. Amazing and tragic, but a good story for Ryan as a person as far as personal success.

I know what you mean, but "so normal" feels like an insult, almost. What's normal.. It's not about as much "personal success" as it is of surviving. Sometimes people say "you did well considering how fucked up your father was" to be - doing well despite of having an abusive alcoholic father. I hate that. I did well cause i had to. I had to prove everyone wrong. It's not "personal success", it's survival.

It's always sad to see parents or people close to you go no matter how but I don't think it's a miracle for their children to make it through. I look up to people who've seen close ones go through that, and choose to do better. Those people are smart as hell. And seem to be very strong willed.
I live in Wyoming and I'm a welder I listen to Ryan Bingham everyday simply because I found him on this show. I love it and Ryan kills it!

Been one of my favorites for years. Hes been around alot longer than anybody thinks. He used to work rodeo when he got discovered, amazing songs. I waited a few years to watch yellowstone and was stoked to see him on here

Best show on tv! Love this guy! He didn’t take no crap! He stood his ground. Almost got him killed! He’s gone, but I have a feeling not for long! He has a beautiful voice!
I felt that he didn’t take crap ... not “no crap,” because he was given crap. He was branded but abandoned his “family;” great voice though!

yeah, i've been a fan since about 2011, watching yellowstone and here he pops up on there, caught me by surprise, awesome they put him in there, one of my favorite characters on there now, let's hope he survives Rip

Seen him open a concert for Allen Jackson and I have to say this MAN stoled the show...on Wednesday night I will be tuned for Yellowstone I LOVE THE SHOW
That scene was so cool when Loyd gave Walker a Waterloo WL-S Deluxe to replace his old guitar that he smashed up leading to that epic fight. (FYI, the Waterloo WL-S Deluxe guitar is a replica of a 1920s Oscar Schmidt-Stella 12-fret, slot-head parlor guitar, with a current value of over $4k.) It's a real old-timey style instrument, very 'cowboy'; and it sounds amazing, as do all Waterloo guitars, handmade by Collings of Austin TX.
And in this clip Ryan is playing another Waterloo, the all-black nitro lacquered WL-14, based on a 1930s Gibson style 14-fret L-00. I guess Ryan must like Waterloo guitars!
I currently own two, and certainly wouldn't mind another one... ;)

Remember watching him come out and slay a guitar at a Cross Canadian concert in Whitney, TX. Rained it's ass off right afterwards. Still remember the beat up raggedy Miller lite shirt he had on and making Cody Canada look like a chump on guitar. First time I'd seen that happen, or even close. Captain Guitar.

My boys attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. Ryan was very popular among my kids for years. Man, once I heard his music I became a believer.

i was in Whitefish, my hometown, on this day when I was asked for a stump. Yes, a stump. Im a wood man, and "They" planned on using a stump for Ryan recording this song. I guess they never used it, but this is 100% the song they recorded, and i can see our ski resort in the background. I feel like I participated in something that never happened.
