Nobody knows what means “gauchos” outside of Brazil. It’s better you use “Brazilians”, lady.
It might rain a lot in London, but it's usually not torrential. It won't wreak havoc on the city, and people won't have to be displaced.
It rains around 700mm annually in London, It rained one day in Rio Grande do Sul
The worst of the problems was the lack of water, but 1 Brazilian navy ship with the capacity to desalinate one million liters of water per day, which was in war exercises with the French navy, was sent to the site, in addition to 220 purifiers. of water arrived in the city of Porto Alegre, it has the capacity to purify over 1.5 million liters of water that are collected from the river itself.
Thanks for the excellent class. Even though that's a sad story on southern Brazil's deadly floodings, that's pretty important to know the vocabulary to spread information about what's going on and also raise awareness about the environment.
I appreciate this video. I'm sorry for people sufering.😢

Situation is awful but thank God we have several people engaged and willing to help. Thank you very much for such an amazing class!
Hi, May I give you an advice?
Your voice is too small, and music is significantly opposite. I have to adjust my phone’s volume when your music is playing. I have watched your videos for a month. I hope it could be fixed, thanks.
Thank you for your feedback! We will do our best to improve the audio for the next episode.

After torrential rainstorms in Rio Grande do Sul they have to tackle the situation that the flood has been wreaking havoc. There are thousands of people displaced from their homes, but we are together sending food, water, medicines, cleaning materials and clothing to them. They are asking for help, so we should do something to help them. And I'm sure the entire country are feeling the same way.

Hello from Brazil ❤
Really? A lot of people suffering from the floods and you using that as a class? That's very unrespectful and callous.
Regrettably, many families have suffered losses of loved ones, pets, homes, shops, factories, farms, crops, and more. Entire small cities with populations of 20,000 to 30,000 residents have been entirely wiped out. These communities were ill-prepared for this massive disaster, receiving evacuation warnings too late.
We have an ineffective government that heavily focuses on collecting taxes for personal gain.
In times of crisis, their response and actions are delayed, fortunately there are proactive individuals who successfully rescue and provide refuge for those in need.
Obrigado por falar sobre 🇧🇷♥️
So excited, Thanks so much ❤
Thanks again 👍🏼
This floading reminds me the last one in Peru in 2017... many people was displaced from their home.
Hi, Guys! Lovely presentation and very informative. Thanks so much for bringing media back to media. With a teachable addition as well, awesome!
Because of torrential rain and flood, thousands of citizens were displaced from their houses.
Solidariedade Social é o conceito a ser aplicado nesse momento.
Sinceros agradecimentos a todos quê estão a contribuir para amenizar o sofrimento pelo qual estão passando o povo do Rio Grande do Sul.

So sorry for these terrible torrential rains that had caused the death of so many people and the displaced of many more.

Glad to hear that!
The main issue wasn't the heavy rain; it was the dam that broke.
The dam broke because there was unusual rainfall at times like never before, it was a catastrophe.
The main issue IS the heavy rain in the entire state, the small dam didn't even broke, it only partially collapsed, i live in the city it happened. Whats worse is that there is more rain coming.
Why did the dam break?
No it is not,.this is totally false. It was the rain that made the rivers flood: taquari, cai, Guaíba, and Laguna dos patos. There wasn't a dam broked, just with small problems
Very helpfull lesson
This is not accurate, it’s the worst flood in Brazilian history, not just in 80 years
Danke!!! GOOD 👍 👍 👍

Yesterday, torrential rain wreaked havoc on the people's homes. Resulting in displacing the accommodation for house-losen residents from the government's command.

As a Brazilian, I'm surprised for the international attention about our situation! It's important to people around the world know that climate changes is real and it's happening now!
For the people who are not Portuguese speakers, Rio Grande do Sul means "Big River of South" or something like that.
Thanks for the translation :-)

50+ countries admit to cloud seeding, So many countries flooding, has weather modification caused this.?
I got one doubt. Can you explain this? 'people have had to leave their homes' is this present perfect form?
👍 Yes, you're right! 😊 'Have to do something' is similar to 'must do something' or 'should do something', so when we say this using the present perfect, it becomes 'have had to do something'.

México: Brazil send me a few water please! 🥵
Brasil: take all water that you want need! 🌧️⛈️☔
Some instead a few is right way to say that 😞
Jokes aside, I know it seems ironic, but we southern brazillians haven't been supllied with water in our houses for a entire week due the flood. So we are lacking clean water to drink
@@ighorkingeski8944 it doesn't matter, in México weather change is drying up lakes and rivers 😞 we can't take it anymore 😭
I love BBC news
Lovely people 👍💋
It was a tragedy. It is more important to listen to the climatic scientists. For years the science alerted about the climate changes for human action, and now we suffered the consequences. I think that a change of all the governments around the world is necessary to mitigate this problem. And, of course, take care of the Amazonian.
But, as i know, brazilian people knows that there are illegal enterprises out there in the Amazonian jungle cutting down trees for to sell them.
If there's no trees, there are not roots, and if there not roots, there's nothing which absorb the water of a big rain.
That's why now they're suffering because of flood.
Unfortunately, they should do something for themselves.
Regards.
The torrential rain wreaked havoc in terms of displacing thousands of natives to makeshift accommodation.
The first thing I learned with this video: Georgie can be a woman's name too
What I have heard from a friend that lives in the South is that they aren’t being aided by the federal government.
Lie
When did he said that exactly?
In fact, it was too little and too late. Help came from our own people, who's really strong.
@@LuluuBueno It wasn't too little. The government sent 50 billion dollars. But yes, it was late. The government should have prevented this.
@@erikperhs_ 50 billion dollars? 😂 God, where is that?
